Thanks for hosting an open mic Kim.

If theres one thing I've taken from the current insanity, is that hard and crazy times act as the thrustblock to real internal and spiritual development. Speaking only for myself, being surrounded by overt propaganda winnows my mind to have a clearer picture of where my beliefs stand. And seeing a crisis like peak oil gain momentum provides that ignition to actually accomplish the preparations for the future as opposed to procrastinating. In retrospect, I'm more thankful for these times than the 2000 oughts where looking back it feels like a period of inebriation.

Now if only "to know to will to dare to be silent" was a tad easier in practice :p

So thanks to you Kim, and others, who've been putting the pedal to the medal and providing us thoughts to digest, divinations to understand and a space to be among like minded folk.

Tamanous

I'm just beginning to learn about these curses thrown about in a rage. I sure know I've done more than a fair share in my life. Now that I'm aware of the karma, and I bite my tongue, what's next? Just riding out the storm as the blowback comes a flying? With hindsight, I know I've already gotten a bunch of blowback.

I was really impressed by the story of Paul Foster Case. He was known never to have said a bad thing about another person. The worst he ever said was, "That apple is a bit green." That's a good role model.

https://www.nytimespost.com/political-correctness-gone-mad-words-easter-egg-dropped-from-seasonal-chocolate-treats/

I wonder now how various neopagans are to think of the erasure of even the last remnants of their roots from Easter?

They have complained for so long about it being coopted by Christians. Will they have anything to say at all about "Galaxy Eggs?"

I've noticed online too the massive materialist atheist invasion of pagan/polytheist spaces. IMHO, any self-respecting polytheist group needs to show them the door immediately....but no, that might hurt their feelings. I noticed on one particular pagan subreddit that any attempt to call out "atheopaganism" (barf) for the utter disingenuous rubbish it is elicits an immediate torrent of downvotes and scold-replies from cowardly apologists.

I've concluded that those of us who actually honor the gods (and without any sillystrings attached) should start keeping closed spaces and carefully vet anyone new who wants to join the group in question. Maybe go back to the "Scribe Z" way of doing things JMG has joked about every now and then.

Frankly I think this is because most in the pagan scene are atheists, in fact even if not in name: too much of the pagan scene strikes me as being best described as playing at being pagans....

I think the response on the part of Christians is more an admission of what has long been their reality rather than a failed last chance.

For as long as I remember, "" Christians"" in the USA had more veneration for Regan, and then later the neocon pantheon, than they ever did for Jesus. They have been worshiping government (only their team though), while pretending to worship their God. What a rude awakening they have had lately.

All religions to the majority in the west appear to be little more than a jersey to wear or a flag to wave. Nothing to take seriously. It leaves them I'll prepared to deal with people who very much do take things seriously.

Which ones would you nominate for more attention?

COVID vaccine

I also wanted to tell you that I contract for a large international manufacturer of brown fizzy sugar water. They want to know their employees’ vaccine status and are pushing it, HARD. Fortunately, my status as a contractor protects me somewhat from their machinations, but the members of my small team were talking about their own vaccinations- when and where, which shot, etc. I cheerfully lied like a rug and told them I’ll be getting it when I have no intentions of the sort. Fortunately, it’s a fully remote position so it doesn’t really matter anyway, and they can’t ask me for proof (and since I don’t have benefits through them, there’s no way for them to know). I live in Florida and our Governor has come out against the vaccine passports, saying they will never be required here.

Hopefully I won’t get any negative karmic blowback for my dishonesty, but in the moment I cared not a whit. My position pays well and while it’s PMC times infinity, I have every intention of riding till the wheels fall off! I do wonder how many there are out there like myself, parroting the lines they want to hear to their faces but secretly a dirty, unwashed deplorable in the safety and comfort of my own home?

You should read the emails they send out, it’s crazy! One message said the vaccine is proven safe and effective, where the word “safe” was a hyperlink. I clicked the link to see what it led to and all it linked to was the CDC website saying, “the vaccine is safe,” with no supporting data provided. Things that make you go hmmmmm...

Some emails imply that if one refuses the vaccine, one will not be allowed to return to in person work, which to me read very much like a not-very-well veiled threat of nasty repercussions for refusal. While they can’t outright say they require it as a condition of employment, they could certainly find other ways to make your life miserable until you leave on your own - or fire you for other reasons. If I got fired tomorrow I’d have a moment of silence for the paycheck and then move happily along, but for some of these people a salary class job loss would be personally devastating. Is their whole identity. Women with young children work insane hours, emails in the middle of the night while nannies parent their kids and they miss the best years. Sad! I believe they will regret it one day.

It's pretty clear to me that Wokeness must be scoured from the earth entirely, with any trace of it ever having existed being an obscure subject for scholars only. But where do you start with something like that? What would Sun Tzu do?

Perhaps so, but the specific set of Harvard University Arts and Humanities Department suicidal death cult values that the woke are being sanctimonious about just have to go.
