Orphic Hymn to Pan on Bandcamp
Dec. 23rd, 2024 09:11 pmI just released the Orphic Hymn to Pan on Bandcamp! I used a modified D minor Dorian mode with a leading tone (C#) and tuned my guitar to a low D. The middle part of the song uses an old French carol published in 1720 called Pat a Pan, and the song itself was an existing folk song with possible ancient pagan origins. This song is the second hymn where I added mandolin. The first one was the Orphic Hymn to Melinoe.
