I'm sure that you're tired of talking about this, and I don't expect anyone to have any answers, but does anyone have any idea when this fracking Covid nonsense will be over? Just when I thought that they were finally done obsessing over this and were ready to let everyone move on with their lives, they break out the Delta variant and seem intent on firing everything up all over again.
Covid is the religion of much of the salary class and its aspirants. They don't consciously understand this, but they perpetuate Covid fears in order to keep their part of society from undergoing its inevitable collapse. It's frustrating to watch them frenetically Polish blanket trick themselves into believing eternal lockdowns and mass medical experiments will guarantee the automated luxury communism they claim to deserve. That's why you'll always find an excess of maskturbators and Frankenjab-pushers in the cities and woke countries like France, Britain, and Australia.
They won't move on until the Frankenjab kills them or their children. Some of the severely maimed line up for their second shot. The only thing we can do to stop them is to build ourselves up -- learning essential skills, starting small schools, patronizing businesses that didn't partake in the shenanigans -- and to fight where we are able. For instance, in my state, parents are showing up to school board meetings in droves and demanding that masks are optional next school year. This is a much better tactic than going the Antifa route and pipe bombing small business districts between hits of crystal meth.
This will end only when the established powers fall. I mean this quite literally: the only way for Covid to end is for someone else, someone outside the current political classes, to take power. I hope it happens peacefully, but I worry it'll look a lot like France in the later 1700s or Russia in the 1920s. It'll require something dramatic though.
I'm working through the CGD, one of the core elements of that curriculum is geomancy, and I'm now thinking about offering it for others. I don't want to do it just yet, since I still struggle a bit to get good readings for myself, but at some point I hope to offer it to those who want it.
Since you do divinations for anyone who wants one, how did you know when you were ready for your weekly Ogham offerings?
Thanks for asking. Once I had meditated through all the tree cards approximately 2.5 times (my method of meditation is to write my thoughts in my journal while I meditate) I created the website of my observations that you're probably familiar with, http://druidogham.wordpress.com/ Shortly after I made that, I put my shingle out there.
Geomancy seems pretty cool. I want to learn it. I'll definitely ask for a reading if you do that. My recommendation is to do them once a week for a limited time as I do, and don't worry too much if there's only a trickle at first.
Thank you. My next pet project (ouch) is capturing three of my feral cats, two of whom are kittens, and getting them spayed. Wish me luck and pray for me, I'll need all the help I can get. It may be a while before I get another pet. Kiki was everything to me. I'm just not ready to do it again just yet.
Sadly we are in an in-between time where it's anybody's guess how to make a living doing practical stuff. I believe in the power of libraries, so that's why I am starting a subscription library. I once knew a guy who could fix anything: lawnmowers, stoves, heating pads, microwaves. He had a gambling problem and was unable to monetize his skills. The big thing is attitude: most people wait for that killer salary class position and/or are already stuck in the salary class and dependent. The number one goal should be to learn how to be poor and how to live well outside the salary class.
As far as skills in the next decade, you might try carpentry, painting, drywall, locksmithing, plumbing. Otherwise known as "the trades". Farming is a bust because the corporate monopolies control almost all farming. Can't do anything in healing because some pharma zombie will sue you, especially if you're a successful healer. If I had time, I would restore furniture and sell it on eBay and Etsy.
My advice is to look at what jobs were available circa 1950 or 1920 (depending on how badly you think the next few years will be), and are also available now. This is why I'm jumping into the electrical industry: unless things go really far south the grid will survive and people will still need someone who can worth with their electronic devices (1950s); if it does go really far south and the grid collapses, well, people will need someone who knows how to get them electricity (1920s)!
We will not collapse all the way to a preindustrial society overnight, but we will almost certainly fall a long ways in the rest of the 2020s...
Another idea along the "trades" line: masonry and woodstove/fireplace installation. I imagine more and more people will want more resilient heating sources as oil costs become more volatile. Then, when there isn't any more steel for woodstoves, you could build fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, build walls, etc..
Regarding COVID and the astrologically predicted public health crisis, we're seeing it now. The crisis is this: EVERYTHING. We're seeing every usual health problem people have times two; people are just a lot sicker. The substance abuse and mental health folks are probably times three, which I saw coming when the lockdowns started. Where I'm at, I've seen one COVID positive in 4 weeks; of course, that's one ER. There's also a massive shortage of RNs now, which is exacerbating all the usual problems we have. People are spending much longer times in the ERs because we can't admit or transfer people who need it, because there aren't enough RNs on the inpatient units to accept more patients. So pray you don't need to go to the ER or be admitted. I don't know if it's like that everywhere, but I've heard this is a problem in a lot of areas.
As far as COVID and young people goes, I've seen one 20 something who was normally healthy who was sick enough with COVID to require oxygen and even that one was able to go home and did fine.
I have an observation about the COVID vaccine that may be of interest. I'm an Indigenous person from a large Canadian city. Like many other Indigenous people in my city, I got my vaccinations at an Indigenous health centre. What makes this different from a pharmacy, Costco, or someplace else people have been vaccinated?
Magic and religion! You see, sage is burned every morning in such a health centre. People also pray. Sage is used for getting rid of negative energy or thoughts troubling a person.
I have been to different Indigenous communities where every adult member has been fully vaccinated. Nobody has reported any negative things after getting the COVID vaccines, and people would be very vocal about any such thing. Especially the younger generation on social media.
So, I'm sure you see what I'm trying to get at. I think that burning sage and praying negates whatever bad things the vaccine does. How? I don't know. Maybe the vaccine is going something negative magically??
Browsing 4chan /x/ I came across a post asking "What is the most schizo thing you totally, unironically believe?" This reply jumped out.
the reason for political extremism and so called sjws is because Neptune is in Pisces.
This will end when neptune enters aries, but thats not till 2025 or so
You know, Trayvon Martin sort of kicked off the whole thing in earnest and that was 2012. Right on the cusp of this transit. It was only a year later that the anonymous adjunct professor wrote his article about how students terrify him. While the seeds were being planted for years and years before hand, I feel like that was the first bloom.
This then made me wonder about previous decades? I'm not so educated on astrology so I would have no immediate answer for how Neptune in Virgo, in Capricorn, Sagittarius, or other signs described the other various eras of my lifetime.
That makes a great deal of sense, actually. Neptune in Pisces would explain the rush towards onethink at all costs. Neptune is the opposite of "You do you". It wants hegemony and when it can't get it the normal or fair way, it is more than happy to force it and cheat.
I think that Neptune in Capricorn is behind the weird false nostalgia, the obsession with law and order, the bizarre rise of the religious right, and the start of the vacation from reality in the 1980s and early 1990s.
My advice would be to set up a small altar -- a drawing of her in a decorated child's lunchbox would be enough, but of course you could get more elaborate than that. Then do something ritualistic every night in front of the altar. I say night because Aphrodite is the "night loving" goddess. Put flowers in front of it, burn incense or a candle, or play my Orphic Hymn to Aphrodite, it's a free download: https://queeniemusic.bandcamp.com/track/orphic-hymn-to-aphrodite-new-recording-4-21
You could also dedicate a few discursive meditations to some of her aspects, such as her marriages to Hephaestus and Ares, her origins in Cyprus, plants she likes such as roses and milkweed.
This is something I’ve been wondering, and it seems a good place to ask - do you prefer random internet people address you as Kimberly, Kim, or something else?
Men Are Now Too Afraid To Approach
After years of being told that unwanted advances = harassment, men simply don’t want to risk approaching women out in the real world, for fear of being accused of a dark motive later.
Before this sterilized culture emerged, we would naturally send signals, some subtle and some overt, that acted as clues for us to determine if someone were romantically interested. Maybe we caught their eye across the room and held their gaze. Maybe we smiled at them on the bus. This would be the signal for a man to make a more overt move – approaching us to chat or ask for our number.
But why would a man make a more explicit move – or start the flirtatious dance at all – if he fears he’ll be rebranded as someone sinister just for doing so?
She correctly identifies a situation and makes a brave but incomplete attempt at a solution
If we want to revive a culture where it’s okay to flirt, the onus is really on women to make it clear to men that we’re okay with being approached in public – that we’re either going to accept their offer or politely decline, not brand them as a creeper if we’re not interested. (Men, of course, also need to clearly read our signals, whether they’re signals of interest or disinterest, and be willing to go away when we say no.)
This solution doesn't really address the fact that individual women can present a trap still for men to step on and blow their foot off. In practice how this can only happen is if women who engage in clearly false attention seeking are "canceled" and that can only happen if a society chooses not to simply "believe all women." (Who happen to not be accusing a Clinton or a Biden at the time)
This clearly won't happen. Why should it happen? Would it even be ideal if it did happen?
She's trying to un-open Pandora's box. Even in my misspent young womanhood in the late 80s and 90s, I was a rare femme unicorn. Unlike my peers, I gave a crap about feminine things like cleaning, keeping house, and cooking plus I actually could do all three competently.
There is a big group of young women these days who bring very little to the table. They are often promiscuous, which is absolutely fine if you anticipate that your sex partner is going to be the exact same way, and of course they're hypocrites, they're looking for Mr. Faithful.
Of course young men aren't offering much either. This isn't their fault, as most of them have been raised to be lazy, thoughtless, spineless wussies. Even in my day, I didn't feel it was my job to enchant the overgrown man-child away from his video games and comic books. Puer Aeternis was annoying to date and he was EVERYWHERE. One of the biggest reasons I married an older man was not money (my husband was extremely poor when we married) but because he wasn't into video games and/or watching other men tackle each other on TV.
Another pet peeve of mine is men and women who are significantly overweight or average to below average in the looks department but who are obsessed with landing a piece of arm candy. Translation from the Bulls**tese in such cases is "Don't you dare judge me on my looks, which of course I'll do next to nothing to care about or maintain, but I'm going to choose you mostly for your good looks and then drain the life out of you with guilt in our relationship."
Then there are the women who accuse men of rape simply because the dudes were lousy and inconsiderate in bed. I'm thinking of Emma Sulkowicz, who carried a mattress around her university campus in a cringeworthy fit of pique. True to her name, Emma knew how to sulk! During the height of MeToo, Aziz Ansari, another lousy lay, suffered similar allegations. There's no going back from such a preening eunuch's culture. The cat's out of the bag. It will end when they are all 400 years in their graves and a new culture stirs from the ashes of the vanished industrial age.
I've heard that the John Birch Society once was extremely popular with a very high US membership. With the rise of the Neocons the jbs and its membership fell off a cliff and nowadays if you hear about them at all its to say that they're conspiracy theorists and "radical right wing extremists"
But that label is meaningless nowadays as you know, and a cursory look at their site reveals they pretty much nailed exactly what's happening right now.
So is this reputation they have well earned? Is it just more slander from the usual suspects? What caused their fall from influence?
