Keep in mind that for leftists, Progress is their God, and this includes the ones who purport to believe in actual God. That's why so many of them stayed home for two years on their God's birthday in order to worship at the altar of Coronachan, which just happens to be the same electronic device that delivers CNN and Netflix. They don't need logic or what used to be called science. They just want their fix so they can believe Progress isn't rolling to a halt. The shot is their unholy Communion.
