Ogham Readings on Saturdays: Dreamwidth Login Required

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills.  Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):

 

-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading

-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices

 
I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via email -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline.  I cannot answer health questions.  If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.

Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break. 

My next planned break is from Saturday, March 22, 2025 - Friday, March 28, 2025.

I take reading requests from whenever this post goes up on Friday night until 8pm US Central Time Saturday.

You drew three cards for the next 30 days.

For the You card, you drew Tinne or Defense well-dignified. Tinne is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so be warned and don't take any unnecessary risks. Other than that, it talks about having a balanced sense of when to react and when to let things slide. You're developing better armor so you can be sensitive when it matters.

For the Situation, you drew Nuin or Communication ill-dignified. Expect travel to be problematic and machines to be difficult or on the fritz. In this dignity, Nuin often indicates the need to go outside to both communicate with others personally and to "touch grass" and do something to earth out excessive air energy and to fight that detached feeling when you've been indoors too long.

For the Outcome, you drew Duir or Gifts well-dignified. Recognition for your best traits or talents is on the horizon. Gifts are sweetest when shared. This is a good time to look at how sharing what you have improves your entire being, especially when you have less than what you would consider ideal.

I working through a logistically challenging situation with various government entities. When I draw divination cards myself I consistently get cards for "Everything is as it should be" and I possess the needed 'inner strength."

I am wondering what your Ogham have to say about it?

IMHO I think your new security measures are prudent and will be beneficial.

I have also really enjoyed reading your essays of late. You are always clear, direct, honest, and humble. I don't always comment, but I always appreciate reading your insightful and original perspectives.

Thanks! I appreciate your patience. And thank you for your compliments on my essays. It means a great deal to me.

My Ogham don't agree with your divination cards. They give three cards for this situation and thy are all ill-dignified. This is not a prophecy of doom, but it does mean that it will take a great deal of hard work and cleverness to make the best out of this affair.

For the You card, they give Ngetal or Hygiene. This is an exhausting time and it may very well take its toll on your health. You will have to enforce strict boundaries and make it very clear within your own self that you have a zero tolerance policy for anyone or anything that steps over the lines. You don't need to tell others this is the way it is, but you do need to be true to your own limits.

For the Situation, you drew Ur or Intimacy. This shows the irritation or psychic leftovers of the people and energies you are dealing with spilling over into your family relationships. If you get snippy, reassure your family and other loved ones that it is not about them, it is about what is going on with the government entities. Also, the only one who needs to know the whole truth is you. Put it in perspective: do they really need to know every last detail? There is much power in secrets taken to the grave.

For the Outcome, you drew Phagos or Teaching. There are frustrating unknowns and potential charlatans waiting in the wings to take advantage of your vulnerability. Keep your B.S. meters on High Alert. Do your research and homework so that you are holding more cards.

Hi LP,

My Ogham give a somewhat weird answer, but applying for the position is the clear winner. Both cards are ill-dignified, meaning they are saying the two paths even out in the end. The first one is sweeter. They give Duir or Gifts for the first and Ioho or Grace for the second. The first one brings comfort, privilege, and gifts, with the danger of becoming spoiled. The second, Grace, means that not applying would leave too many questions unanswered and too many opportunities automatically skipped.

Ok, thank you. The situation is that the head of my department at work was fired and some of my coworkers are urging me to apply for the position because they like the way I'm managing things in this interim period. I'm not sure if I want that job or if I would get it - and if I don't get it, does it make things weird at work? My guess is that the Ogham are saying I don't get the job either way, but if I apply for it maybe I end up with a raise or a promotion or something? I was actually hoping to NOT apply, but maybe I should...

For the You position, you drew Onn or Community well-dignified. You feel and show gratitude for your niche and your particular corner of the world. The Divine always seems to like it when we do this because it is a tiny way of being the change.

For the Situation, you drew Ruis or Regret ill-dignified. Rotten memories surface, and because this is in Situation, it may be affecting someone in your inner circle. If there are mea culpas, it is far better to look at them with brutal honesty, admit you are not proud of what you did or said, and sternly resolve not to do that anymore. There are always two extremes, and in the case of regret, they have to do with wallowing in anger or sadness or running away from the regret via arrogance or the insistence you're over it when you are not.

For the Outcome, you drew Luis or Protection ill-dignified. This is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so be extra cautious over the next month or so. Money is not protection and material things do not make you safe. Protection is a force that must come from within. You can be the most pragmatic person in the world and still lay yourself bare to the most dire of fates. The only true protection comes from earnest efforts to align yourself with your higher self and your Holy Guardian Angel.

Hi Boccaccio,

The health situation is not good. The Ogham give you a card for this and it is Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. Tinne is a physical danger card. This points to dangerous advice by people who imagine they have your best interests in mind. They see your troubles as a perverse sort of win-win where they can treat you with generally unproven protocols while lining their pockets.

For the You card, they give Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified. At its worst, this is a card that warns against spoiling or molly-coddling or generally not appreciating one's own privilege. That said, typically it means you are spilling over with generosity. The "free" work and kindnesses you do for others will reverberate and come back to you via the power of seven, and this can even reverberate into future lifetimes. Just as unearned wealth can create karmic drag, earned wealth that is given with magnanimity of spirit creates karmic uplift.

For the Situation, you drew Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. You must not cling to what is not meant for you. The Ogham often use this card to tell people to let go of material stuff. You cannot take it with you when you die, so let it go to Goodwill or the landfill. Set it free so it stops weighing you down and does not end up as someone else's problem when you die.

For the Outcome, you drew Huath or Obstacles well-dignified. This is yet another one of my Ogham's danger cards, so be aware of physical danger and take precautions. Other than that, it shows you bringing your mojo to the table when important decisions must be made. You are going to be challenged but the Ogham predict you will stand strong.

Thank you for the reading! It's not exacly what I was hoping for, but I prefer the raw truth over the pleasant lie so thank you again.

It looks like my challenging times are not over. My long term health struggle is not moving towards healing and I take the Ogham reading as a warning not to take any risks when it comes to alternative healing modalities.

The encouragement to help others is one I also got from the I-Ching a month or 2 ago, and the Situation reading looks like an encouragement for a Spring cleaning. Where I live Spring is finally in the air, so maybe now is the right time :-)

The repeated warning for physical danger feels like one to heed. It sounds a bit ominous but we'll see how it goes.

The Ogham give you three cards this week.

For the You card, they provide Oir or Epiphany well-dignified. There is an a-ha moment where it all comes together and a truth is revealed. Despite the card's well dignity, this could be a painful realization as Oir realizations often are. The Ogham suggest you will handle this gracefully and maturely.

For the Situation, they give Nuin or Communication well-dignified. There's a great deal of kvetching about machines, including from me with my hearty disdain for television and video games. These things do have an upside, and you are in the swing of the upside this week, understanding the way the tech helps and how to help it help you. Happiness and benevolence from the world of strangers is also a possibility.

For the Outcome, you drew Saille or Sensitivity ill-dignified. Etheric exhaustion and starvation is the hallmark of our era. Getting sunlight, working outside, breathing deeply, eating food slowly and with gratitude, and getting both mild and vigorous exercise are suggested. Often, those who think they aren't very sensitive are actually oversensitive with etheric and astral fatigue.

Update on that woman I met recently.

She got back to me. Eventually we decide on going to a cooking class for our date. I initially assumed that we would each pay for our own ticket (almost $100, each), but I then find out that she wants me to pay for both of us. I tell her that that's too much for me (being a lowly teacher and all) and I suggest that we just go to a restaurant instead. She politely (graciously, even?) tells me "no" and that we need to go out separate ways now.

Seems to me you and your Ogham called it: maybe a good person but she's perhaps a bit too keen on financial security.

New question: I have found what appears to be an opportunity to work on my people skills. Not sure what to make of it, though. What do your Ogham think? Is it scammy? Will it be useful? Do I even need it?

Damn, a cooking class that costs nearly 100 each? Yikes, for that, I want to be served a seven course degustation afterward.

Yes, kudos to her for keeping it curt and polite, but she sounds exceedingly materialistic. Perhaps she ought to consider the old adage: "When you marry for money, you never stop paying for it." The issue with that kind of materialism is that rich men can become poor men over time and through no fault of their own, and then what are you left with? I was married to two different rich men in my most recent past life, and I learned lots of things about that the hard way. It looks like she may be taking the same road!

My Ogham don't think this is the opportunity for you. They give Fearn or Bridge ill-dignified, meaning that this does not go in the direction the Divine wants you to go.

As far as it being scammy, they don't think it's entirely so, but it isn't designed with good intentions in mind. They give Muin or Harvest ill-dignified which means it won't bring the results you want and will definitely bring blowback of the negative variety.

For its usefulness, they give Koad or Confluence well-dignified. Its usefulness depends entirely on the individual. For some, yes, it works out.

For you needing it, they say No, you do not. They give Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified, meaning that you are far better off if you teach yourself people skills. Take it seriously and consider your school the School of Hard Knocks.

For the You position, you drew Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified. Keeping your mouth shut at the right time is crucial this week. If it is important, it can wait. Grumpiness, irritability, butt hurt, and shortness of temper are risks within the family: earth it out with old fashioned work or by getting outdoors.

For the Situation, you drew Muin or Harvest ill-dignified. A project or wish may not be coming to fruition in a timely matter. Bad habits lead to crappy results, so it is time to work on them. Watch out for the psychology of previous investment and sunk cost fallacy. If it is time for a change, then so be it.

For the Outcome, you drew Straif well-dignified. This probably refers to your husband getting his sea legs again and feeling better. I will give my generic advice to make sure to take a decent multivitamin every day without fail and a little extra zinc either in pill or lozenge form. If you take zinc, be sure to only take it with a hearty meal because it is wicked strong.
