Ogham Readings on Sundays

Hi Everyone,

 

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.

 

Please note I will be taking off the weeks of December 24, 2023 and December 31, 2023.  Readings will resume as usual January 7, 2024.

You drew three cards for the coming weeks.

For the You or most immediate position, you drew Nuin or Communication well-dignified. Lots of connections are made this holiday from near and far. Recognition could be one of the added bonuses for work well done or for talent. It is a good time for buying, selling, and coming up with crafty ways of earning or saving money. Tech acts as we would want it to and getting back and forth (travel) looks to be smooth sailing.

For the Situation, you drew Duir or Gifts well-dignified. This one shows lots of generosity coming from the heart and the sublimation of that energy. There is even the possibility of being able to share gifts, talents, and opportunities with others.

For the Outcome, you drew Gort or Perseverance ill-dignified. I often draw this card when my finances are tight, so despite the good fortune of the other two cards, keep your eye on your bank account and wallet. This could also be talking about an unproductive mode of thinking or a rut that you need to extract yourself from.

As for your choices of people. A and B are better than C. A gets Straif or Resilience, which is also known as Flexibility. A is willing to adapt to your needs and get to know your unique circumstances.

B got Uilleand or Generosity well-dignified. B is simply a good person, and that means he or she may be overqualified yet willing to give his or her service based on need and not income.

C got Koad or Confluence ill-dignified. C isn't for you, though he or she may be fine for someone else.

Thanks! Oh, I realize now I was unclear--my questions are options for what I could do to deal with this group of people, not choices of people. Is there any way your interpretations would change knowing that? Sorry for the confusion!

Well, A is an adaptation: "give them enough rope to hang themselves" style. It is trusting the group enough to both function on its own and to give you what you need. You need to be very clear (in your own mind, not shared) about exactly what you want from the group. If the group cannot fulfill your needs, you should plan your exit strategy.

B is giving more than you take from the group. If you want to go the ultra-generous route and pour yourself all in, it will work out well for you... eventually. But you have to have no expectations of return and you had better be ready to put up with a LOT of bullcrap. B is the hardest path because it is the one of self-sacrifice to the group.

C is much less intimate with the group. It seems to involve recognizing what you've approached wrongly in the group and why the group may never be quite right for you, but clearly it pains you to leave or not be involved, or I don't think we would see this card in this dignity.

Hmm, well, the Ogham have previously warned me that this group either doesn't have clarity on their goals or are shysters so... But spouse doesn't believe in divination and wants to "accept their help." Maybe A would lead to clarity on whether they can help.

I have tried B before with other people and yeah, that's typically how it goes. Thanks for the reminder that when you do that, it typically helps others who later have to deal with the people involved, and does not "work" quickly enough to help you.

C was "both" and that might be just too much. Well, we signed up to participate for a given amount of time, and would feel bad dropping out early.
