Date: 2023-08-05 02:20 am (UTC)We were in Ontario when the shots came out. All of our friends got them for their kids. Several signed them up on the first day and got the pics of their kids with the superheroes that were at the shot clinics. Most (but not all) got their kids boosted.
My MIL said we should get my kid the shots. If we didn't, other parents wouldn't want their kids around ours. Our daughter would be lonely and it be our fault.
A family members teenager is in sports. Kid got the shots asap because "it was the right thing to do". Family member said lots of friends didn't want their own kids to get get the shots but caved when the unvaxxed kids were kept out of sports. They were worried about the kids' mental health.

Date: 2023-08-05 05:18 am (UTC)Quite a few of the kids are now chronically ill with debilitating colds and flus that never really go away. Most of these kids are college bound whether or not they are suited for it. College is a flu and cold cesspool -- I knew several kids who dropped out because of pneumonia. I had pneumonia three times in college but I also have an appetite for putting myself through hell, so I made it through. If I had known then what I know now, I would have been religious about zinc, Vitamin B (the spectrum), C, D and regular cardiovascular exercise. And I would have avoided drinking and smoking entirely, though I didn't do all that much of it, every little bit was a detriment to my health.
