Ogham Readings on Sundays

Hi Everyone,

 

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.

Good afternoon Kimberly,

Work on the house continues. The Ogham was right about Ngetal. I will not share the gruesome details, but I will say that this place requires much more attention than anticipated. On that note I would like to ask the Ogham:

1) is the issue in the attic resolved?
2) will my insulation plan prove to be a good choice?
3) can the tree wait until this fall?

Hi MF,

I so feel you on that! My husband and I have learned to say of our little, hundred-something year old house: It's a piece of s**t, but it's OUR piece of s**t. Did I mention it was formerly owned by hoarders going through a horrible divorce? We still find unpleasant surprises 7 years after moving in, and they usually have to do with botched electrical wiring or plumbing. Yeah.

My Ogham have three answers for you.

1) Sadly, no. They give Mór or Sea Change ill-dignified. You might try some natural remedial magic up there. Every little bit helps.
2) Yes, it was a good choice. They give Fearn or Bridge well-dignified, meaning it will be sturdy and it will get you through the crazy weather.
3) Another no. My Ogham give Nuin or Communication ill-dignified, which means you ought to talk to the tree and then try to get something done about it ASAP.

The issue with the tree is that it was planted in a very poor location and now has grown up around the electrical service drops to my and my neighbor's house. Given the situation cutting in down, before it burns down and takes other trees with it, is needed.

How do I talk to a tree about that?

If the tree has any nearby clones, meaning suckers or saplings growing on or near it, clip it and stick it in dirt after dusting the bottom with rooting hormones or dig it out and plant it in a better location. That's how I got Cedric, the Eastern cedar in my front yard.

To talk to the tree, stand with your back leaning against it. Explain to it (mentally) that you don't want to harm it but you have no choice because of the electrical situation. Thank it for its gifts and wish it well in its afterlives.
