New year, same old Ogham! I am delighted to be back.
I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.

2. Coming school vax mandates in my state may force the above as they will affect school workers beginning in July, as currently planned. I live in hope of a reprieve or at least an exemption. What will happen?

Date: 2023-01-08 04:37 pm (UTC)My dog recently passed away. She was elderly with lots of health issues, so I'm relieved that she's not in pain any more but miss her terribly. I keep kind of "seeing" her when I close my eyes and think about her, hovering at the edge of my consciousness, sitting and wagging her tail. Is she still hanging around or did she make it safely to wherever it is we all go when we die? When I realized that the end was near I prayed for family that has already crossed over to meet her there. But I am not at all skilled in seeing beyond the material world so I have no idea what happened with her. Can your ogham tell me anything? I'm sorry if this is a weird thing to ask them.

1) Part of me doesn't want to know the answer to this, but forewarned is forearmed and all all that:
Sadly, I lost my remaining 2 grandparents in 2023, both only a month or two after their vax boosters... Given that all the rest of my family are boosted too, can the Ogham give me any indication if I'll lose any other family members this year? (And if so, is there a way to tell who from the reading?)
2) For a number of reasons, I would like to emigrate within the next few years. However, given that most of the places I was looking back in rose-tinted 2019 have since shown themselves to be woke dystopias, can the Ogham recommend where I should be looking instead? (Or if it's actually best to stay put after all, as "better the devil you know"...)
3) This is a bit of a strange one - we have had some very odd weather for the past 4 months, particularly the fact it's been raining pretty much every day and we've only had a single week of properly 'cold' weather. Whenever it rains, without fail, I get allergic symptoms. I have my suspicions, but can the Ogham say whether there is any artificial weather manipulation activity going on?

I had a crazy idea that was both altruistic and mercenary in light of the fearful times we were in then. I didn't go into details of what I needed. You basically told me 'No that's not going to work.' I abandoned that plan as logistics unfolded but kept working on (and completing) the project.
Now I am organizing 'the proposal' for curators, institutions, etc...(Great timing as we slide into who knows what, eh?). I'm hopeful for something beyond what I've accomplished before (after many long years of doing this). How do things look for this idea? Thank you.

Date: 2023-01-09 12:21 am (UTC)Happy New Year! This week may have its share of imbalances -- all three cards were ill-dignified. That said, I recently had an all-ill-dig reading and it was a great day, though I did have to adjust for what the Ogham was warning me about.
For the You position, you drew Ngetal or Hygiene. When this card is ill-dignified, you may have a week of not feeling well, in fact, it is very likely. Another possibility is having to do something where it is literally a dirty job, like cleaning out the fridge. Yet a third possibility is feeling morally or ethically compromised and feeling as if your conscience is urging you to make the "right" choice. On the other side of a Ngetal imbalance, perfectionism, OCD, and/or Karenism is warned against by the Ogham.
For the Situation, you drew Saille or Sensitivity. This again could have to do with feeling poorly, either easily pushed over the edge (oversensitive) or obtuse (undersensitive). Since it is in Situation, it could be happening to someone close to you. It can definitely be construed as a caution not to allow too much stuff, commitments, and activities into your life, because you need to narrow it down only to what you truly love. Even the stuff you are lukewarm about needs to go. There isn't enough time for all of it.
For the Outcome, you drew Huath or Obstacles. There could be physical danger this week, so be on your guard. Huath though, in most cases, is a warning not to jump to conclusions or to force outcomes. It is a card of Martial force and if it is imbalanced, it means there is either too much force or too little force. If there isn't enough force, expect a tough situation from which you will be tempted to run away, but running away is not the right answer. The Ogham would suggest you go against the grain and as far as what others think, their opinion be damned.

Date: 2023-01-09 12:34 am (UTC)My Ogham suggest hunkering down. They provide Ioho or Grace well-dignified in regards to you staying put, which indicates that you will have to keep your expectations low and squeeze every ounce of kindness and patience out of yourself.
They do think there is an opportunity coming soon. They provide Duir or Gifts well-dignified, which means that you need to determine what special gifts you have NOW and start building towards that track to establish it and make it known. I find Maggie McGaugh's story inspiring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=165kfyyQLrY I like her a great deal, and though I have not yet taken any of her courses, I think she has great advice even if you are not a furniture-flipper or influencer, which I am neither.
For the school vax mandates, they say it will be a pain. They provide Quert or Delight ill-dignified, which indicates that you'll have to get in a lot of people's faces and they will perceive you as lower class (one of the big drivers of quax hysteria is the urge to cling on to unearned wealth, and the quax is the key to the bargain). Quert does indicate though that their opposition will be superficial, transparently shoddy, and ineffective as long as you stick to your guns.

This means that feeling under the weather is very likely this week -- cut yourself some slack, take your supplements, and don't push too hard physically. It could also mean that perfectionism or obsessive/controlling behavior rears its ugly head. In that case, remember that perfectionism is unhealthy and once again, cut yourself some slack.
For the Situation, you drew Eadha or Limits well-dignified. Because this card is in Situation, it indicates both you recognizing your limits and others respecting those limits, or potentially being forced to respect those limits. Respecting your own limits means you can do more in less time, and it means you will be much happier and more fulfilled by what you choose to do.
For the Outcome, you drew Luis or Protection ill-dignified. This, along with Ngetal, could indicate physical danger, so be wary. Given the general garbage state of the astral plane, this is a warning from the Ogham not to allow that crappy collective drag you down to its Lowest Common Denominator level. It may be tempting to be snippy, parsimonious, short-tempered, vain, etc., but the Ogham are giving you the heads up so you can rise above the fray.

Even though this card is called Teaching, you aren't necessarily teaching to others this week, nor is your field of expertise 100 for sure something that can be taught: for instance, let's say you are a master at empathy. It is a good week to look at those things you have an innate talent for. Where does your true expertise lie?
For the Situation, you drew Mór or Sea Change well-dignified. This week is a good luck week and a somewhat cleaner spot in the collective astral in your local area. It is a good week to hatch long term plans, just as if you would look for a distant island when the sky was blue and the wind was gentle, you can look to the future this week.
For the Outcome, you drew Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified. Once again, I will mention that this is a physical danger card that represents an imbalance of Martial fire energy. If there is too much, you may have a situation where either it is scary and unpleasant and/or you try to overcome it with too much force, or you could have the opposite problem of being overly frightened and running away. Your best bet is to invoke a Stoic sense of weathering a storm with steadfastness and earnestness.

For the You position, you drew Eadha or Limits ill-dignified. One of the worst parts of the modern work-a-day world is how it tries to take over your entire life. This was certainly true during my brief stint working in an office and it was absolutely terrible when my husband was holding down a salary class office job. You will have to put your foot down and leave your coworkers in the dark -- you do not owe anyone access to your personal information and they need to respect your privacy. Of course you can always be the change by respecting the privacy of others and doing unto them as you would have them do unto you.
For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. The environment of your work is fragile. Fragile egos, deadlines that cannot be met, huge mistakes being made that endanger the business itself and everyone's livelihood are commonplace. There might even be physical danger because of the stupidity of the way the place is run. The defensive strategies taken are mirages at best and at worst, jokes. My advice here is to quietly wear a protective amulet whenever you are on the premises and pray to the deities of your choice for protection.
For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience ill-dignified. There is the false idea that the storms will be weathered and success will be had on the other side. This is not necessarily the case where your current workplace is concerned. Efficiency and resiliency are two very different things: efficiency is something that is cheap and shoddy, but gets the job done for now. Resilience is something that is well-chosen and perhaps costly, but lasts a lifetime or near it.
My Ogham predict W will be suspended. They give Muin or Harvest in answer and they give it well-dignified.

My suggestion is not to worry about blessing them, just try to be neutral and understand that they treat you like crap because that is where they are right now, and it is not a good place. Kiki hung around for a few months after her death, and just to put a fine point on it, she put my current cat, Shadow, into my life by bringing him out of my yard and into the house. I was extremely reluctant and wanted to put Shadow back outside for a long time because I did not feel ready for another cat. She felt otherwise and it is obvious now that she got her way, and she got me to adopt a shelter cat named Ash to keep him company as well...
My Ogham say your dog is doing very well and her afterlife is going to be splendid. When I ask "How is she doing?" they provide Saille or Sensitivity/Flexibility well-dignified. Saille is the calling card of the goddess Aphrodite, which means your dog will have great comfort, happiness, security, and well-being as she clears her previous life and goes through the Gates en route to her future incarnations. She was lucky and blessed in life and she is lucky and blessed in death. She will say goodbye for a final time soon, then you will have to wait awhile so she can have her restful bliss, and from what I understand, it truly is bliss that if we knew here on Meat World what it was truly like, we would be quite envious of it.

For C, they like it as well. They give Onn or Community well-dignified, meaning good, win-win situations within the world of semi-strangers happens, fairness and good-will are present, and there is balanced give and take on all sides.
For D, they don't care for it. They give Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified, which means no way of going around the idiots, realizing you've made a mistake, or having to deal with insurmountable problems.

For the most immediate card, the Ogham provide Ngetal or Hygiene ill-dignified as advice. They're basically saying it is time to clean and minimize, but know when to say when. For instance, if someone in the house has a penchant for IT MUST BE NEW!! it is time to nip that in the bud. There is almost nothing inside a house that needs to be bought new, especially in the realm of furnishings or decor. That said, holding onto everything a.k.a. hoarding makes for a miserable existence, so learn to ruthlessly edit the things you do keep.
For the Situation, they provide Eadha or Limits ill-dignified. This is another indication that someone in the house is pushing limits (this could be you). This could be a financial matter, but it could also pertain to discipline, education, activities, or something else entirely. The key here is to recognize where you need to reign in a particular element and then keep your eye on the prize.

The Ogham do not think moving is a good idea at this point, and it is indeed better to stick with "the devil you know". They provide Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified in reference to moving.
My Ogham do not think it is weather manipulation where your allergies and rain are concerned. They provide Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified, which is an Earth card. So what they are saying is that it's just an allergy thing. Illinois is extremely hot and humid in the summer, and every time it gets that way, asthmatic people and people with allergies suffer. On the TV news, meteorologists often give asthma warnings when it gets hot and humid. My cousin moved from Illinois to Arizona when he was an adolescent and his severe asthma disappeared overnight. Another friend who has chronic auto-immune disease moved to Arizona as well and she has been able to manage her condition better ever since. There is something about hot and dry weather that is much better for the human body than hot and wet.

Listen to your gut and work on discerning what your Holy Guardian Angel is trying to tell you. There is also the opposite imbalance of overprotection to worry about, so always keep in mind that trying to live in the Land of Precious Perfect is in itself an imbalance. This is a card of other people who you are depending on coming through, the ability to work together even though you may differences with someone, and the ability to learn lessons from negative people and times. My Ogham don't like the prospects right now of finding another job within a 50 mile radius. At its worst, Uilleand out of balance means you are ladling too much affection, care, or attention on someone who does not want it, or the same sort of thing is being done to you. At its best, you are tipping the scales this week by giving generously of yourself, and if this is the case, it will come back to you as your generosity reverberates across the planes.
For the Situation, you drew Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified. This means that you or someone or close to you is tempted to gossip, say too much, or say something in the wrong place at the wrong time. The simplest way of avoiding this imbalance is to keep your mouth shut unless you are absolutely certain you need to say something. For the You position, you drew Phagos or Teaching. When ill-dignified, it means that you are going to be frustrated by how much you don't know. Being honest about what you don't know is always the best policy, and if others are frustrated with that, that is entirely on them and not you. Another possibility is that you'll have to suffer a know-it-all.
For the Situation, you drew Nuin or Communication ill-dignified. Tech gone awry is a real possibility this week: machines breaking down, commercial transactions being stymied, deliveries being delayed, or worse, someone trying out a scam on you or someone you love. Basically, crappiness within the realm of strangers is the jist of this card, and the Ogham suggest being graceful about it but of course setting hard limits as to how much you are willing to take. This can also point to you or someone close to you not getting the recognition they deserve.
For the Outcome, you drew Onn or Community. Not only is the realm of strangers problematic this month, the people of your community aren't doing so well either. The world of semi-strangers is pissy, unnecessarily dramatic, or foolish. It's a gut wrenching thing, isn't it, to even have to think about having a companion animal put down? But it's better than prolonged suffering. I'm sorry for your loss of Kiki. She sounds like a strong minded girl!
Two of my family members had near death experiences and they both said that after the experience, they were no longer afraid of death. I'm afraid of a painful dying process but not as scared of death itself as I used to be. I'm glad my girl will have a good experience in the afterlife.
