Hi Andrew,

My Ogham say it won't be easy especially at first, but the results will be good and worthwhile.

The first card they give me for the You position is Ailm ill-dignified. Ailm means Transcendence, and if it is unbalanced, it means one of two extremes, either you don't feel you have the energy to get over the hump at first or you think you've gotten more done than you actually have.

The second card they give me is Onn, the Situation, well-dignified. Onn means Community. In balance, it means the Heathen deities will be happy to oblige and you'll likely find plenty of people doing the same routine to bolster your spirit and the power of your rituals.

The third card they give me is Ngetal, the Outcome or Lesson. Ngetal is well-dignified here and it means Cleanliness. If you are seeking to banish nasty stuff from your life and clarify your mind, you're in luck because this Ogham says you will be successful.

I think this reading is quite auspicious. Just don't expect it will go super easy in the beginning.

Hi Ip,

The result looks very good. All three cards are well-dignified.

For the You card, there's Saille, which means Sensitivity or Intuition. The shift will help you to keep sensitivity in good balance, which means you won't be unnecessarily anxious and you also won't be unnecessarily obtuse, but that Goldilocks zone of "just right".

For the Situation card, they give me Ruis, which means Regret. When regret is balanced, it's the benefits of regrets. Older and wiser, there will be some aspect of "been there, done that, bought the T-shirt" that will help you avoid mistakes. It could definitely mean some insight into your past life or lives.

For the Outcome or Lesson card, they give me Huath, which is Obstacles. Balanced, it means you'll certainly be troubled with obstacles, but you will be able to overcome them and potentially learn and clear some karma.

Thank you! As a fun comparison, I asked the runes the same question before I read your response (I've been working with them for about a year, but definitely do not have all the nuances down):

Self: Gebo (gift), balance, sacrifice, hospitality, votive offering
Situation: Eihwaz (yew), initiation, transition, threshhold
Outcome: Dagaz (day), awakening, enlightenment, period of transition

I am concerned about my employment status over the coming months. We recently had a round of layoffs, and I know they tend to come in more than one round. How at-risk is my position over the next few months, if the Ogham will read that far?

OK, I'll do a three card reading. Well-dignified will mean that you'll be able to hang on to the job and ill-dignified will mean that you'll lose the job, so it will have to be two thirds chance in either direction. In this case, if you draw a Forfedha, I will read it well or ill dignified, which I usually do not do. Here goes:

For the You card, they give me Tinne, or Defense. I think what they are saying is that you are good at defending your position and that you are more resilient and adaptable than most.

For the Situation card, they give me Ur ill-dignified. Ur means Intimacy and usually refers to an inner circle relationship. I'm going to guess that whoever is making the final decisions of hiring/firing or the big boss takes liberties with workers he/she shouldn't OR treats everyone like a disposable robot or both. With such a person, it's important to keep them at a careful distance.

For the Outcome card, it's Saille ill-dignified. Saille is Intuition/Sensitivity. This means the result will leave you feeling raw and exposed or numb or a combination of both. If you're drawing Saille ill-dignified, you'll definitely want to be doing some hoodoo baths or make protective amulets. Of course a daily banishing ritual wouldn't be a bad idea either.

They are saying there is a two out of three chance of a layoff.
