I've had a story swimming around in my head for a while now. I find myself gently zoning out relatively often and getting to know the characters, seeing inner visuals of things taking place along the plot line. I've been taking character notes here and there when the images are really striking to me. f I did write the whole story, it would probably just be for my private enjoyment. In some ways I think the plot emerged within my psyche as a subconscious response / desire to explore and possibly find a synthesizing answer to the divisiveness in the US hive mind at the moment. If this is the kind of inquiry you'd accept, I'd love to know anything Ogham has to say about the idea!
The You card says Quert, well-dignified, which means a celebration and enjoyment of life. A great deal of good will come of this, not only for you but possibly for others as well. Quert is the apple tree, which is the tree of happiness and sustenance. Think cider and apple pie... A la mode... but I digress.
The Situation card is Uilleand, Generosity. I think this points to being inspired and feeling driven to write the story. When I wrote my first novel at age 30, Forever Fifteen, it all poured out within a period of eight months. I had never so much as finished a short story that was to my liking. I always felt that book wrote itself because it wanted to come out. I was to some degree a passive vehicle.
The lesson card is Ailm, Transcendence, well-dignified. This indicates you will gain a great deal in your inner world from writing the story. I wish you the best on realizing your writing project.
Thank you Kimberly, what a beautiful reading! And thank you for sharing your personal anecdote with your first novel. It's a sweet synchronicity because I'm turning 30 this year actually! And trees play sort of an active roll and behave with their own agency to a degree in the story, so the Quert card is doubly neat! It was a delight to receive this reading. Also sorry I forgot to add my name before, it's Kayleigh again :) Thanks for hosting, wishing you a great week ahead!
For the You position, the Ogham gives Tinne ill-dignified. Tinne is Defense and its tree is Holly (ilex sp.) Ill-dignified means that you are either being overly defensive or not defensive enough. I tend to draw Tinne if I need to be extra careful while driving because of crazy drivers or if I'm on the verge of coming down with a cold or flu. It can also mean being overly paranoid about a thing, which ironically causes one to be more vulnerable.
For the Situation position, the Ogham give me Duir ill-dignified. This means you'll be the recipient of a gift or of some good will and you shall be obligated to pay it forward.
For the Outcome or Lesson, they give me Mór, which is neither dignified or ill-dignified because it's a Forfedha. Mór indicates a sea change. Look for indicators of great and glacial (not necessarily fast) shifts in your character or way of life.
A story that keeps bugging me!
