I asked the Ogham "What is ACTUALLY going on in this person's life?" Meaning, what is the real situation here rather than a possibly faulty perception of matters?
It's an odd reading, very happy and positive.
The card signifying You is Ioho, which means a process of necessary letting go or catharsis is going on in your life right now. For instance, I like to say, "If you don't let go of pretty by age 35, it will eat you alive" in reference to those who dress/act super young for their age because they are insecure about aging.
Koad is the Situation card. It's a Forfedha, so I don't read it as ill or well-dignified. It means a confluence of factors. The Forfedha usually indicate a karmic culmination. Koad says to look at all of the forces you can and cannot control and meditate them to discern what karmic culminations are going on right now.
Onn shows up as the outcome. For unknown reasons, Onn keeps coming up no matter how much I shuffle and randomize my Ogham today. It's well-dignified. Onn means community. The lesson of depending on and valuing one's community is what the Ogham want you to ponder: that is the acquaintance, friend, family, and extended family circle around you.
Overall, the Ogham is saying that your paranoia is most likely unfounded and that you should work on letting go of it, especially since you have such a strong community of people around you. The trait of paranoia may be coming from one or more of your past lives, hence Koad as the Situation card.
That's a very interesting reading. My recent past already contained a lot of letting go, my hope is that all that's already over rather than ongoing, and I'm definitely not looking forward to any more of it.
Moreso, I have been reflecting a lot on how things came to be as they are, however I didn't think any of that was a part of the cause of the question.
You know what though, I have been needlessly worried before. I think though, that the community card is pointing to the very weakness that is causing me so much concern. I have in fact withdrawn from most friends after they one by one became social justice demon infected, and my profession is increasingly infected as well. Most of my family appears to be the same. Living in a left coast city, and in the middle of the COVID moral panic, I honestly don't even know where to start to rebuild.
I have the same issue with friends who have become possessed by whatever is going around on the left. I live near Chicago, which tries to be the Midwestern New York. I feel your pain on that one. Ioho might point to having to decide to let some people go. In my case, I also have withdrawn from my friends, as I won't stoop to being the whipping post for their Trump Derangement Syndrome. Many of my former vegan friends have completely shunned me even though I have never revealed who I voted for in the 2016 election. Since they presume it was Trump and I don't purport to hate the man, they consider me nearly as evilly evil as the Orange One. I do have compassion for them, and if they can eventually let go of their TDS and the obnoxious virtue signaling that goes with it, I'll forgive them, as I too have believed some very stupid things in my life and I'm in no place to throw stones.
But for now, it's Path of the Lonely Ones, for sure.
So your reading did in fact hit spot on the nose. I have more connections than I'd remembered, and just getting back in touch with a particular old contact brought to light that this old dog is still valuable
