Ogham Readings on Mondays
Jan. 24th, 2022 12:27 amSubmit your question or request for a general "what's up this week" reading and I will be happy to oblige! I read between the time I post on Sunday night with a deadline of 8pm Monday night.

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills -- but if you want to donate for it, I'll happily buy myself a book, a snack, or a cup of tea while on the town. Please only donate if you can absolutely afford it. I've been there. Your prayers for my continued success are welcome whether you donate or not!

Date: 2022-01-24 07:00 am (UTC)Could your Ogham tell me why I felt so strongly about somebody called T, and what T felt about me?
Thank you - Rohini

Date: 2022-01-24 09:36 pm (UTC)My Ogham say there are a couple of things going on. This T person likely has a connection to you from a past life. They give Gort or Perseverance, meaning the feeling is not coming out of nowhere. You two have history.
T admires you from a place of limits. The Ogham provide Eadha or Limits, which tells me they couldn't completely connect with you but he/she thought you did a good job of making the best out of your lot.

Date: 2022-01-24 09:41 pm (UTC)This week you drew three cards. For the You position, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. You'll do a good job of letting go gracefully this week, whether it is not getting butthurt when an ego-crushing experience presents itself or ceding something you were not meant to have or experience at this time.
For the Situation, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. There is no bad side to Duir. When it is ill-dignified, it is saying either you have some privilege that you can sublimate by paying it forward or that you will bestow a selfless gift from the heart this week which will be repaid to you seven times over.
For the Outcome, you drew Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified. This is the Ogham's gentle warning that there will be opportunities to get crabby or to lose your sense of humor this week... don't let the small stuff get you down.
Week 4

Re: Week 4
Date: 2022-01-24 09:48 pm (UTC)This week you drew three cards, all balanced or well-dignified. Though this points to a sunny week, I've had bad days and weeks on all well-dignified readings, so caveat emptor.
For the You card, you drew Ruis or Regret. You will enjoy the earned benefits of having been around the block once or twice this week. Perhaps you'll use a past behavior you're not proud of as a thrust block to propel you to better and brighter things. Or maybe you'll just avoid trouble that you would not have seen coming back when you were wet behind the ears.
For the Situation, you drew Beith or Intention. You will have a leader's spirit this week and your internal fire will serve as a badly-needed inspiration to others.
For the Outcome, you drew Uilleand or Generosity. You will have both abundance and an appreciation of that abundance this week. Anything you pay forward or give from the heart will be supremely and quickly magnified as it comes back your way, so the Ogham suggest that you jump on that instinct this week. Keep in mind that Generosity can have to do with money, but more than half the time it's referring to other aspects of character.

Could I ask what's in store for the week please?
Re: What's in store?
Date: 2022-01-24 10:01 pm (UTC)My Ogham give you three cards this week.
For the You card, you drew Koad or Confluence ill-dignified. This week feels like a s**tshorm, and part of this you cannot help and part of it you can. Your job is to figure out the parts that you can change for the better and work to improve them, and it's possible that the only thing you can improve about it is your attitude and reactions.
For the Situation, you drew Beith or Beginnings ill-dignified. You or someone close to you feels tired and not super-motivated this week. There can also be a "flying in too many directions at once" phenomenon that I am intimately familiar with. In such a case, accept that some projects may have to be put on the shelf indefinitely as you tend to other things.
For the Outcome, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. The key to making the best out of this week is letting go of that which cannot continue or that which is not meant to be. On a serious note, for a woman like me in her late 40s, it's a time of passing the torch of young womanhood to the young women, and I've tried my level best to do that. I dress more maturely, more loose skirts than tight pants, and generally try to gently support young women by subtly reminding them not to be so hard on themselves. On a less serious note, seeing as you have Beith in the Situation, this could be talking about small projects or hobbies that you're just not going to have time for and that you should give up. For me, that's macrame. I love macrame but I'll never have time to make wall hangings or cat hammocks with my current load of things to do. Maybe in my future lives....

Date: 2022-01-24 02:25 pm (UTC)having finally recovered from your last reading, I have two questions this week 1) should I proceed with the financial change I am planning? and second, is the imminent strife I perceive strictly personal or more general affecting society at large?
Many thanks for all you do.

Date: 2022-01-25 01:57 am (UTC)My Ogham have two cards for you.
They say Yes, you should proceed with the financial change. They give you Tinne or Defense well-dignified. You will create a nearly impenetrable balance if you go that route. It is a good strategy for well into the future.
For the second, is imminent strife more personal or about society at large, they say it's personal. They give you Eadha or Limits, which suggests it has to do with your perception of limits. It's good news, because your perception of limits and the way you react to them is almost entirely something you can control.

Date: 2022-01-24 02:38 pm (UTC)Thanks for offering an ogham reading. I am hoping to discern if their is a specific pantheon of Divine Beings I should offer my prayer to, or if it is up to me to choose?
I was baptized as a Christian in a protestant church when I was 30 yrs old but have struggled to feel as though it was where I “belonged” spiritually speaking.
I am grateful for any light you can shine on the subject!

Date: 2022-01-25 02:01 am (UTC)My Ogham say that Yes, you are being steered towards a specific pantheon and it is not entirely up to you, though of course you have free will. They give you Uilleand or Generosity, which is to say the spirit of generosity, giving, and sacrifice should be your guiding light.
I asked if you should be looking towards esoteric Christianity and they said Yes. They provided Ailm well-dignified. Eerily, the figure for Ailm is a cross! Have you read any of Gareth Knight's books? He writes quite a bit about esoteric Christianity.

Re: Hello Kimberly
Date: 2022-01-25 02:08 am (UTC)For this week you drew three cards.
For the You position, you drew Ruis or Regret ill-dignified. You run a risk this week of having too much regret: beating yourself up pointlessly, dredging up old sorrows and rehashing old hurts unconstructively. You also run the opposite risk of not having enough regret, which may show itself in excessive pride or not being able to admit you're wrong. In either case, discursive meditation would be my prescription on whatever issues you face.
For the Situation, you drew Saille or Flexibility well-dignified. The benefits of Saille are twofold: you have the dexterity to move with the times and the situation at hand. You also have the right instincts when it comes to eliminating what you're not totally into and that gives you more energy for what you love and the "right" direction that makes you happiest.
For the Outcome, you drew Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. You'll have the appropriate senses that help you to keep what needs to be kept secret. If you have someone you are very close to, that relationship will be harmonious and blissful, which is also indicated by the Saille card which is ruled by Aphrodite.

Date: 2022-01-25 03:01 am (UTC)This week you drew three cards.
For the You position, you drew Gort or Perseverance well-dignified. You show the right amount of patience this week where it counts, devoting yourself to projects that will pay off, investing your time in worthwhile activities. Gort reminds you to contemplate that which you find enriching and important. Know why you are doing it.
For the Situation you drew Beith or Intention ill-dignified. Perhaps you are spread a bit too thin, have a touch of inertia, or are going in too many directions at once. Because this is Situation, it points to the outside world distracting you from what you'd prefer to be doing.
For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience well-dignified. You adapt well this week and you have a keen sense of what the future will bring. Because of this keen sense, you prepare appropriately.

Thank you,
-MF
Re: The other MM
Date: 2022-01-25 03:06 am (UTC)Thanks for your feedback! My Ogham say No, you should not seek a formal diagnosis for your disorder. They provide Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified, which could possibly mean the people attempting to diagnose your disorder will know less about it than you do.

Q- I'm having some stocks vest at the end of next month. Originally I was going to sell everything so as to pad the bank account and pay off a chunk of debt, in preparation for the long decline, but the tanking market has really done a number on the value of these. Should I sell right away as planned or should I sell later this year?
Thanks for your reading,
Tamanous

Date: 2022-01-25 03:09 am (UTC)Thank you. It's going well so far.
For the first question where you asked if you should sell right away, my Ogham say No, you should not. They give you Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified, meaning any epiphany leading you to sell right now is a false one. For the second question, should you sell later this year, they say Yes, you should. They provide Eadha or Limits well-dignified, meaning you should watch for the market to have a modest uptick and then dump them. The Ogham seem to caution that you shouldn't get greedy and wait too long, though.
Re: Furthering magic training or no
Date: 2022-01-25 03:16 am (UTC)They gave you three cards.
I asked if you should pursue occult/magical training. They said No, and they gave Fearn or Bridge ill-dignified in response. Fearn is a card of gurus both corporeal and non-corporeal, and if it's ill-dignified, it means that you won't find the right connection for mentorship if you go the magic route.
So I then asked, should you pursue occult/magical training later this year? They say No, and they give Mór or Sea Change ill-dignified, which means that No, you should not pursue it then or ever.
So then I asked, "Is this person a mystic?" and they answered Yes. They gave Beith or Intention well-dignified. Of course you should take this divination with many grains of salt, but what they are saying is you are a mystic. Your path is one of intense prayer, daily if not hourly worship, healing work, possibly the arts. You don't have to worry about magic so much; the love relationship between you and God/gods is all you need.

Date: 2022-01-24 07:28 pm (UTC)Just a brief check-in to let you know that last week's reading was spot-on. Everything related to my job/work/money situation overall: while I've been unimpressed with app-driven gig work, last week my mind changed entirely as a result of pushing
speedlimits and applying effort to the situation, certainly well-indicated by Eadha ill-dignified. And I would say getting good orders (wrt pay per mile) and tips definitely counts as "good coming from the world of strangers" as indicated by Nuin well-dignified.Best,
Andrew

Date: 2022-01-25 03:30 am (UTC)My Ogham give you three cards for this week.
For the You position, you drew Mór or Sea Change ill-dignified, meaning that there will be a dark cloud over this week that you won't be able to do much about. Best to take a Stoic attitude and adjust the one thing you can control: your reaction. Make the best of it.
For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. There will be a tendency towards under- or over-defensiveness this week. Under-defensiveness is that freewheeling recklessness that does not sense danger. Over-defensiveness is paranoia over nothingburgers that hurts more than it helps. Do your best to get as down to earth as possible, casting situations that arise in a pragmatic light.
For the Outcome, you drew Coll or Wisdom well-dignified. You will have the benefit of having been around the block once or twice this week. Your hard-earned knowledge will come in handy. Be willing to do the work -- it makes you into a good role model, and those are extremely hard to come by in today's world.

Re: Job outlook
Date: 2022-01-25 03:45 am (UTC)My Ogham do NOT like your current job either! They provide three ill-dignified cards in reference to it, meaning that you are constantly dealing with imbalances.
For the You card at your job, they provide Coll or Wisdom. Ill-dignified, it means that there is a great deal of pointless busywork and pretending to do something at your job. There is no meaningful goal to the work and the work does not help anybody except a few grifters at the top of the pyramid.
For the Situation, they provide Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. This job both over-defends you from what you need to experience in order to become stronger (molly-coddling) and under-defends you against real dangers in the future. That creates a nagging sense you always have that you're vulnerable and trapped.
For the Outcome, they provide Beith or Beginnings ill-dignified. The job prevents you from doing anything else. It consumes all of your mental and emotional resources to be there despite the pay.
For the potential for something better, they say it does not look good. They provide Phagos or Teaching, which means you need to find what you are good enough at doing to be a teacher of that subject, and you still have not determined what that is. The Ogham want you to choose a passion that you'd be willing to starve or be homeless for and to give it concrete thought as to how you achieve a life in that field.

Date: 2022-01-24 11:57 pm (UTC)I tried to post a request this morning but I don't think it went through.
I had a rather odd question.....
Years ago, I was close to a person who I haven't seen in years and years. I normally think of them only fleetingly, if something happens to remind me of them.
But recently I've had dreams in which this person appears. Most of my dreams can easily be explained by mundane means - e.g., ordinary dreams about something that's going on in my life, no occultism needed. But every once and a while I get more vivid dreams that feel like they're "coming from somewhere else", if you know what I mean. That's what these have been.
So my questions were...
Is there a reason I seem to be "visited" by this person in dreams (on the astral plane)? Do I need to be concerned about anything?
It's kind of creeping me out, to be honest.
Many thanks,
Jan

Date: 2022-01-25 03:52 am (UTC)My Ogham say that you are experiencing a reflection of that person on the astral plane but it is not actually them. They provide Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified, meaning that it could be an impersonator spirit using the info in your brain to mess with you, or just that it isn't the person in general but a memory mirror of them.
For the "Should I be concerned" question, they say No, it's no big deal. They give you Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified, meaning that your subconscious needs to be dredged where that person is concerned. You're not over it. Discursive meditation is definitely what the doctor ordered.

Date: 2022-01-25 03:56 am (UTC)This week you drew three cards.
For the You position, you drew Duir or Gifts well-dignified. You will experience a sense of abundance this week regardless of your financial situation. This will be an opportunity to understand the kind of prosperity that doesn't come from money.
For the Situation, you drew Uilleand ill-dignified. This points to either being over-generous with praise or gifts to someone who may feel overwhelmed by you or someone making you feel awkward by the gifts they give you or those in your care. It's never too late to say "No" if it is the second one.
For the Outcome, you drew Huath or Obstacles well-dignified. This week will have its challenges but my Ogham seem to think you'll come out on top. You have a good force of will this week. You are strong where and when it counts.
For the Pregnancy Worrier
Date: 2022-01-25 04:01 am (UTC)This week you drew three cards.
For the You position, you drew Beith or Intentions ill-dignified. Overall, you doubt both your own intentions and the intentions of others this week. You are overburdened with decisions to make and people to assess.
For the Situation, you drew Straif or Resilience well-dignified. You are flexible where it counts and the preparations you've made are genuinely helpful. This week will have you depending on your past preparations.
For the Outcome, you drew Ngetal or Hygiene ill-dignified. Your health may be in danger this week, so be vigilant about asserting your rights. Now is a particularly dangerous time to be dealing with doctors and hospitals -- they are murdering people for Covid handouts, like my husband's bandmate -- and I think my Ogham sense that.
Re: For the Pregnancy Worrier
Date: 2022-01-31 02:04 am (UTC)My water broke Saturday night (the 22nd), I went to the hospital Sunday morning and had the baby Monday morning (a 36-hour labor). Last week's reading does describe most of my labor, including refusing labor augmentation for failure to progress with broken water.
When the baby was born I tore and needed stitches. The OB (not the one I mentioned before, just the on-call who came on shift partway through my labor) was urgent about getting the baby out. For a long time I had felt the baby was in a bad position, and we tried Spinning Babies maneuvers, but we didn't know enough to really be effective and the OB holding a c-section over our heads meant we soon gave up and I just did what the OB said and pushed extra hard. Well, she did have a bad position--so I tore.
But I gave birth upright like I wanted: Standing, holding my husband's hands, while the OB kind of started and then ran around behind me to catch the baby. :D
The hospital kept us till Wednesday. I don't know how much of this may be covered by this week's reading instead of last week's. I didn't see this week's until Wednesday, but I did give birth on Monday and was in the hospital through Wednesday.
So then this week:
After leaving the hospital we stayed with my folks for two days while they got to know their new granddaughter. When we got home on Friday, we discovered our heating oil was very low. Thus began a saga. Our oil company would not do an emergency delivery, because we were not automatic delivery customers, only will-call. No other oil company would either, because we were not established customers. (Seems a weird business practice to me: Someone who's been left in the lurch by their company seems like a good opportunity to gain a customer, no?) We ended up turning down our heat and being very glad for the warm layers we had purchased for the baby. At 55 degrees she was cozy in her sherpa jacket, fleece pants and 3 tog swaddle. We found an oil company that said they would deliver today (Sunday). Then they never came. Now adding diesel fuel to our oil tank to make it through the night.
But my daughter is here and OK! So, now I'm Progeny Worrier ;) and if I miss the deadline it's my own fault from now on, OK? Thanks so much for all you've done!
