Ogham Readings on Mondays
Dec. 12th, 2021 11:43 pmSubmit your question or request for a general "what's up this week" reading and I will be happy to oblige! I read between the time I post on Sunday night with a deadline of 8pm Monday night.

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills -- but if you want to donate for it, I'll happily buy myself a book, a snack, or a cup of tea while on the town. Please only donate if you can absolutely afford it. I've been there. Your prayers for my continued success are welcome whether you donate or not!
Readings are closed for this week of December 13, but please feel free to comment on existing threads. Thanks ever so much and have a great week!

Date: 2021-12-13 06:42 pm (UTC)I'm not asking for another reading, just a question. In the reading you did for me several weeks ago, one of the cards was harder for me to interpret than the others - the Eadha; "limits".
Typically I am a Type A personality who is driven by the "I can do/be anything" mentality, and so it's hard for me to accept someone telling me that I have to "limit" myself. So, I'm trying to learn more about this card, and how to understand "limits".
For instance, it has crossed my mind that perhaps appreciating "limits" has to do with:
1) Danger - as in, one should be prudent and realistic about the dangers of a given action;
2) Pride - accepting one's role in events and not trying to become more important than has been allotted;
3) Agency - accepting that, although you've always been able to accomplish whatever you wanted through hard work, there might be challenges going on that just aren't surmountable by you alone, and maybe you aren't meant to try.
Of course there might be other meanings too, depending on one's personal circumstances, but is this a fair approach to Eadha and "limits"?
It seems that many of the other cards are more passive, meaning that they describe phenomena that are going to happen to a person, while this card is more nebulous and deals with an internal state that a person *ought* to have.

In addition to the limits you mentioned, which are all excellent issues to think about, there are the limits of your karma. I have run headfirst into the limits of my own karma on many occasions and I have spent many tears over those limits. One of my main goals in this life is to let go of the things that were not meant to happen in this incarnation and to age more gracefully than I did in previous lifetimes.
