Ogham Readings on Mondays
Nov. 21st, 2021 10:24 pmSubmit your question or request for a general "what's up this week" reading and I will be happy to oblige! I read between the time I post on Sunday night with a deadline of 8pm Monday night.

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills -- but if you want to donate for it, I'll happily buy myself a book, a snack, or a cup of tea while on the town. Please only donate if you can absolutely afford it. I've been there. Your prayers for my continued success are welcome whether you donate or not!
Readings are concluded for this week of November 22. Thank you and feel free to comment on existing threads!

Thanks,

I'm planning on moving, and have picked where, but I'm now on to the timing phase. If it's not too much work, would you mind giving me a quick reading for what will happen if I move, aiming to be settling into my new life at the first of each month from January to July?

Thank you for answering my question last week, it was very relevant.

Date: 2021-11-22 09:26 pm (UTC)This week you drew three cards.
For the You position, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. This points to being either over-defensive or under-defensive, and ironically both of those things can occupy the same imbalance, for instance the compulsive germaphobe who ends up wrecking their immune system by living in a hypoallergenic bubble. Tinne can also talk about psychological matters of defense, so try to be open without being wishy-washy or a pushover but don't be so prickly that you begin to gain a reputation for it.
For the Middle or Situation, you drew Eadha or Limits well-dignified. You will draw the proper boundaries this week and you will save yourself time, distress, and drama because of it. It's a good week to look at your personal limits and your past attitudes towards those limits. What worked out and what did not work out?
For the Outcome or Karma, you drew Ruis or Regret ill-dignified. You run the risk of beating yourself up too much or conversely, not taking yourself to task. Or perhaps you take yourself to task on a matter where you're not to blame while letting other problematic decisions slide. Ruis is a card of personal ego. When it is balanced, it is the jumping off point for great insight.

Date: 2021-11-22 09:32 pm (UTC)This week you drew three cards. For the You position, you drew Mór or Sea Change ill-dignified. Unfortunately, this means that your week will be a bit of a crap fest and there isn't a whole lot you can change about it aside from your reaction. Do your best to react with kindness and grace, and don't be shy about stepping away from the fracas to think your own thoughts.
For the Situation, you drew Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified. This points to someone trying to tempt you into taking the easy way out or the low road. Hold your head high and stay true to your own beliefs: they are plain old wrong and time will bear that out.
For the Outcome or Karma, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. You will let go of that which is not meant for you with grace. This sort of action has deep ramifications for you and anyone paying attention to you. It is an act of selflessness, generosity, and gratitude even if it doesn't seem like it would mean a lot.
Re: What’s up this week?
Date: 2021-11-22 09:42 pm (UTC)This week you drew three cards.
For the You position, you drew Luis or Protection well-dignified. Luis is the card of the Holy Guardian Angel. You have the opportunity to make contact with yours this week and to watch it in action. This is a good week to look at times when your HGA saved your butt or when you deliberately went against it and had a bad time, a.k.a. "the learning experience". I know it well! That said, if it is active, you may be in need of extra protection this week, so be on the alert.
For the Situation, you drew Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. Chances are you'll run into someone who wants your help this week but there won't be anything you can do -- they will need expertise you don't have. Another possibility is that you'll have knowledge that either isn't complete or is not appropriate to share at the time. Overall, recognize the limits of what you do and don't know and beware of those who talk out of their asses this week.
For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience well-dignified. Your voluntary simplicity will pay off and it is likely to inspire others who need it badly. Don't be afraid to reach out and help those who are truly interested in being helped.

Date: 2021-11-22 09:54 pm (UTC)PW here!
Update: My back isn't enjoying pregnancy, which I guess is pretty normal. Last week's reading encouraged me not to push it and to be more flexible about my Thanksgiving prep plans. Which is good because I did not end up following them. Every time I tried to do much, my back started complaining again! So, pretty accurate!
I have my usual question: What's up for me this week?
I also have an extra question this week. I consider it a social question, but if you think it's too medical I understand. It is: Is my plan for dealing with my high-risk OB this week likely to work out well for me in the end, or should I rethink it?
Thanks again for doing this!

Re: Week 47
Date: 2021-11-22 10:08 pm (UTC)This week you drew three cards.
You drew Koad or Grove for the You position. It is well-dignified, meaning that things should generally go your way this week and your actions both present and past contribute to the outcome. It is not absolutely certain though, so hang on to your hat if need be.
For the Situation, you drew Huath well-dignified. You'll be brave in some key way or since it is Situation, someone in your life may display an act of courage that inspires you. Either way, look for a sticky situation where it would be just as easy to chicken out, and in this case, chickening out would be a bad idea (it always depends)
For the Outcome, you drew Eadha or Limits well-dignified, which means you'll have a healthy sense of both your boundaries and those of others. Recognizing limits is a very powerful act. For instance, this is a good week to make a list of the things in life you absolutely love, those that you are kind of "meh" about, and those things you absolutely hate. Find ways of pouring more energy into what you truly love and find ways of walking away from the "meh" and detestable stuff.
As to your lack of confidence and obsessions with past mistakes, my Ogham give you Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. You are mourning too much about that which was not meant for you. Let's take the example of a celebrity who recently got the mother of all facelifts. She's in her 60s. She now looks like a fleshy caricature of herself at 25 merged with an Instagram hottie prototype. All in all, she doesn't look bad or even old but there is something severely off about her. This is what she has chosen over the fate of the "rest of us": sagging breasts, jowls, gray hair, wrinkles. She cannot let go of her younger self. The time to let go is now. As much as she is a glaring example of a psychological train wreck, there's a kernel of her desperation I recognize in myself. I do my best to fight it but it is definitely still there. Repentance is too easy to falsify, so don't. Say "I don't do that anymore" and make it your solemn vow.
Herbalism Course
Date: 2021-11-22 10:24 pm (UTC)Would December be an auspicious month to begin an herbalism study course?

Date: 2021-11-22 10:30 pm (UTC)I have a difficult question this week for which I am asking guidance from your Ogham.
I have a loved who one has drunk a lot of the Kovid Kult Koolaid, and we have spent months arguing about many things - what is really going on, the medical mandates, and related matters.
Unlike many other people I know, however, I'm not sure that this person is completely lost to the madness. I have an instinct that he has some doubts (hence my continuing to argue), that some of the stuff I've said has had some influence on him, and that his grasp on reality may not yet be completely severed. I suspect that he's caught between a PMC workplace milieu of true-believer Kultists and PMC Kult friends, and me and a few other non-believers in his circle tugging the other way and whispering "wake up! wake up!". He's someone who's originally from a working-class background who got a fancy education and now has a PMC job, who has contacts in both worlds. It seems like he's sort of half-bought into the PMC Kult and sipped some of their Koolaid, but has some doubts that he's trying to ignore in order to avoid facing the unpleasant reality that the Experts(tm) are full of shale and the PMC Smart People(tm) he was raised to admire have been fooled, if that makes sense.
Needless to say, it's all very frustrating.
My question is,
Should I keep trying to reach this loved one and wake him up, or stop meddling and leave him to learn his own lessons? I don't know if I should keep fighting or not. Any advice from the Ogham?
Thanks so much,
J.
