Submit your question or request for a general "what's up this week" reading and I will be happy to oblige! I read between the time I post on Sunday night with a deadline of 10pm Monday night.

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills -- but if you want to donate for it, I'll happily buy myself a book, a snack, or a cup of tea while on the town. Please only donate if you can absolutely afford it. I've been there. Your prayers for my continued success are welcome whether you donate or not!

******************Readings are closed for this week, but feel free to comment on existing threads. It's good to be back, reading your cards!! Thanks everyone for their condolences, she is in a better place. Have a great week & see you Wednesday for the Open Post.  More free Ogham readings next Monday~***********************************

Martial Arts

Hey Kim-
First of all, I'm sorry about the loss of your cat. I hope that Kiki is at peace now.

As always, thanks for doing these. Sometime ago, I asked about doing martial arts. After the response that I received here, I have been trying to work out exactly which martial art I should take up. Right now I think it might be Muay Thai or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu; What does the Ogham have to say about me taking up either one?
Thanks!

Here’s some advice from my old teacher: most dojos will let you take a guest lesson for free. He said that the art is not a big deal, at the root they’re all about the same; there are only so many ways to execute a come-along, block, kick, whatever. So don’t make the art the deciding factor; instead, go with the best teacher you find and can afford. And my suggestion is, if your teacher moves away or you do, when looking for a new teacher, confine your search to an art in the same “family,” e.g. Japanese, because if you switch to a whole new family, e.g. Japanese to Brazilian or Korean, you’ll have to learn a whole new bunch of foreign words. So finding the best new teacher in your “family “ will save you a lot of work. Good luck and have fun!

Those are the only two that I’ve looked at so far. I’ll keep researching it. Thank you!

Bed Bugs?

Can you do a divination on whether or not I have bed bugs? I seem to be getting some kind of bites, but I looked everywhere and sprayed and threw down powder the Friday before last.

I’m considering selling the house and moving to another town. What does Oghan think about this?

Hi Kimberly,

I just read your posts from the last few days. My condolences for Kiki, just reading those entries impressed on me the incredible bond you shared. My prayers for her safe passage and for you to find a new balance moving forward.

I've been putting together a business plan. This endeavor is off the beaten path for me but I think it represents a great opportunity. What do your Ogham say? Thanks.

What's up this Week?

Hi Kimberly,

Sorry to hear about Kiki. This old Boomer has been there more than once. Hopefully this week will be better for you.

What do the Ogham have to say about this week?

I hope you've been able to sleep and eat, and that the horrible first agony of loss will ease soon. I have no doubt at all that you did the right thing; we have had to make those decisions too many times, and it's better to wonder "was it too soon?" than to know you waited too long, trust me. Peace and blessings on you all.

I was hoping the Ogham might be able to tell me something about the dream from a couple nights ago, about the harp I was tuning coming unstrung. Was it a particular message, or a regular anxiety dream? Thank you!

May the afterlife provide warm places, high places, tuna, and someone to scratch behind her ears.

That's wonderful about Kiki, I'm so happy for her!

Thanks for the information, I will have to spend a lot of time musing on these things.

Now What?

Blessings on you Kimberly.

It’s been a time for many deaths. My assistant of thirty years was widowed this weekend when her husband fell off a roof.

Is there anything I need to know about or do for our practice/business. I was, as I’ve mentioned before, going to partially retire at the end of the year. How will this major change affect my plans for my partial retirement?

Annette

My condolences for Kiki. I'm very new to prayer but I had added her to my prayers.

The last reading I received was a couple weeks ago where the outcome was, "Protection." I really hope that was true because that week my husband ended up in the ER with horrible pain and bleeding. They are still not sure if it was an ulcer or his gallbladder. Whatever it was, he does seem to have recovered, and they're doing further testing to try to figure out what caused it. And...my pregnancy has been labeled "high risk" and they're switching me to a perinatologist who works out of a farther-away hospital that has a better reputation. My OB basically said she didn't think our local community hospital would do a good job protecting my health at the birth. (It occurred to me that maybe the fact that "protection" was well-dignified means that she's right and not overreacting.)

So now I'm finally back to ask, what's up *this* week? Thanks again for doing this!

Texas

My condolences on the loss of your great. I am glad you're feeling better about it now. You showed great love of life and love of that connection.

I've felt for a number of years that Texas has been calling me back. There have been ample signs, short of an actual job offer. Since I was born there, I wonder if my bias is influencing how I interpret the signs I've come across though. Has Texas been trying to reach out to me?

Thanks for your help!

That's an interesting response. I've been terribly at doing the SoP over the past few months. No wonder that astral static would be causing difficulties. But you mention the Ogham did say "Ask again later" suggesting it may be something that needs worked towards? Or the time will be right later?
