My apologies: I won't be reading Ogham this week because the clacking of the tiles bothers my cat Kiki and we are euthanizing her tomorrow.  I ask for prayers for her smooth transition through the Gates.

Ogham readings will return next Monday.  Thank you for your patience and support.

If you’re still upset don’t hesitate to postpone on this coming Monday also. Losing a good pet is like losing a person. I doubt anyone would expect you to concentrate on Ogham after losing a relative. Most people have lost a good pet, I bet most readers will be willing to wait.

There ARE good things about this century. I’m using one right now. Another is you can be fairly open about mourning a pet. I imagine many of us have been distressed when we accidentally came upon a man weeping over his dead dog, thus embarrassing the poor guy. These days that guy could state openly that he was upset because his dog died and no one would laugh at him or think he was crazy or unmanly. In another 20 years, maybe a man will be able to cry in public about the loss of a fine pet.
