The first in the You or most immediate, personal position is Mór, or Sea Change. Mór is a karmic culmination card and indicates major shifts are happening in your life. This is a good week to look at the things you cannot change versus the things you have control over. Since it is well-dignified, the shift that is happening is mostly positive.

For the middle Situation position this week, you drew Ruis or Regret ill-dignified. This means that someone close to you or you will suffer from one of two imbalances on the spectrum of regret this week: either too much or too little. I often draw this card when I am being far too hard on myself or when I fail to learn the benefits of knowing better. This week, my Ogham give you three tree-letters.

For the You or most immediate position, you got Fearn, which means Guidance or Bridge and is symbolized by the Alder tree. If you have an area where you are considered expert, and that includes being someone people lean on for emotional support (knowledge isn't always technical) than you may feel overdrawn this week. It could also mean that a person you look up to could end up disappointing you or that you cannot get over a hump you were hoping to surpass.

For the Middle or Situation position, you drew Gort (Ivy) or Perseverance. You or someone close to you has what it takes to get through a long haul. Gort tells you to look at the goals you think are worth persevering for and to ask exactly where you are in achieving them. This is a good week to look at your progress or that of someone close to you.

It's my pleasure; you're welcome. My Ogham say Yes, you should get a cat. They give me Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. They are saying that you will become very close to your cat.

They also say that you should not get a cat this week. For that question, they give me Mór or Sea Change which means the general climate this week may present difficulties when it comes to getting the right cat. When I got Kiki (my only child feline) 15 years ago, I went to the local shelter and she promptly picked me by rubbing against my leg!

This week will be trying. For the You position, they give me Muin or Harvest well-dignified, which means that something you've been working on will come to fruition. That's good!

For the Situation, they give me Koad or Grove ill-dignified. You're in the middle of a s**tstorm, to put it bluntly. Keep up with those banishings. There's also the nasty state of the astral plane right now to contend with. It's really, really bad in the US and I'd imagine your area of Canada is even worse.

For the Outcome this week, they give me Fearn or Bridge ill-dignified. This is to say that you may be tempted to either rely on a guru figure/figures, not take good advice, or both. Fearn is also a liminal, transitional tree-letter. Your overall state of flux must be quite frustrating and they are clearly stating that overall, the frustration will not wrap up this week.

As to your year, they give me three cards for that.

For the first You card, they give me Phagos, which means Teaching. It is well-dignified. You are being taught an important karmic lesson this year. By year's end, you will have come a long way in mastering what you are meant to master via some tough School of Hard Knocks lessons.

For the middle card, they give me Ioho or Grace well-dignified. You will let go of what was not meant for you (at least in this incarnation) and the result will be peace and inner growth.

For the final position, they give me Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified. This seems to speak of hard financial reckonings and trouble for those who are supposed to be generous but cannot bring themselves to be truly generous, for instance your parents. I equate this card with my father who is generous to a fault. He's the way all dads should be. He's not a rich guy at all, but like his mother before him, he'd "give you the shirt off his back", he's that sort of guy. My mom is like that too. I hope that someday you might have your own family (if you decide to do go that route) and if so, that you learn the lesson and become generous like my dad and mom. Ironically it's psychologically easier to be that way than to be a miser, always worrying about dwindling finances. I'm not saying anyone should become a spendthrift, but there is a spirit of generosity my parents have that sublimates every time they act upon it. That's why they're such happy, beloved people, I think. They needn't worry because I will always take care of them. Loyalty and someone who will take good care of you in old age is worth far more than money. So is good health.

My Ogham aren't always right about stuff like this but they say yes, he is probably gone. They give me Eadha or Limits well-dignified in response to that question. I really feel your pain on that one because I had a feral cat (or at least I thought he was feral) who was the first feral to let me pet him. I named him Sir Greylord Puss-In-Boots. Because he let me pet him and would even tolerate sitting in my lap on occasion, the other feral kitten Tommy now allows me to pet him. One day last year, Sir Greylord disappeared. I believe it is because he belonged to someone renting in the neighborhood and they finally moved away and took him with them, but I'll never know. I pray for his well being frequently.

The Week

My goodness Kimberly, my week ended up being jacked all the heck up. I didn't get to go on my second date on Friday, because on Wednesday one of my co-workers who had been sick tested positive for The Virus. So then my bosses made me take the test, and obviously, I tested positive. So I had to leave work on Wednesday and do this quarantine. The funny thing is, the system is stacked in such a way that you benefit from not getting tested until the last minute, if you get tested at all, because you only have to start your quarantine from when you had symptoms, not from when you get ordered to isolate. So I had seven days of "extra credit," when I had been running around being a man and carrying on as usual. The sad part is that the girl I had been on a date with got tested (I would have advised her not to), and she is ordered to isolate until the 26th, even though she has no symptoms and is partially vaccinated! I also went to the hospital for my tests and had to stay overnight waiting for a simple ultrasound. On the plus side, they determined there is no long-term damage or blood flow problems and that they will go back to normal by themselves. It seems like that girl is still into me, although only time will tell, she suggested we should go hiking or get BBQ after her quarantine ends. Let's see if her enthusiasm holds up under the doldrums of quarantine.

Whether this means the girl you are dating, random people online, or other strangers and acquaintances, I'm not sure, but they are pointing to this week being productive where talking and interacting with strangers and faraway people is concerned.

For the Middle or Situation position, they give me Phagos or Teaching. You or someone close to you has the chance to learn or share an important concept or life lesson this week, or it could be you who has the opportunity to learn from someone else.

For the final Karma or Outcome position is Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. This means either letting go of something too easily or not letting go of something that isn't meant for you or is past its prime.

The prognosis isn't great.

They give me three cards. For the You position, they give me Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified, which is a sign that one of you isn't keen on the idea of intimacy. Obviously, this is no bueno.

For the middle position, they give me Nuin or Communication well-dignified. Since the middle is the area of other people, this may indicate that one or both of you would be better off with someone who is a stranger at the current moment, meaning someone you or they have not yet met.

For the Outcome, they give me Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. One of you doesn't want to let down their defenses or may have good reason to defend themselves.

It isn't an easy one and you'll feel like it is in control instead of you. Koad ill-dignified means it is hard to "see the forest for the trees" and indicates that getting an objective outlook might be hard this week for you or for someone dear to you.

For the final or Outcome position, you drew Eadha or Limits well-dignified, which means that you'll understand the power of limits as part of your karma this week.

I don't know if Ogham can do this but can it be used to tell when something will happen?

My job is slowly moving every department to $15 an hour and only two are left including mine, can you read how much longer till my department gets the raise?

They're usually not good at answering time questions, but it could be four weeks or more. They give me Coll, which has four prongs, so I interpret that as four weeks.

Hello again and happy Solstice.

Last week’s reading was accurate in the third card; I was in fact hacked on Facebook and have been dealing with extricating myself from the behemoth since. I don’t use my Facebook account at all, so I shall not miss it in the least.

So this week I’d like to know what is the best course of action to take to advance my plans about building or installing a studio at my house so I can move my practice and be mostly retired.

My Ogham gave me Ailm ill-dignified in answer to what you should be thinking about when building a studio at your house. Ailm means Transcendence, and it indicates two extremes to be wary of when moving your practice: the urge to think that all your problems will be solved and/or the fear about not being able to overcome obstacles. Perspective is what you need most is what they are saying. This makes me wonder if you can find a forum or blogger online where someone who had a practice like yours moved it to their house talks about their experiences.

My lease is coming up for renewal. I can choose a month-to-month for extra $80/month, or either a 6 month or a one year renewal for an extra $40/month. Which one would be best for me? In other words, do I need the stability or the flexibility?

They say you should go for the 6 months to one year renewal for $40. They give me Saille or Sensitivity ill-dignified for month-to-month, which means it's too flexible (you're paying too much for that flexibility) and Ailm or Transcendence well-dignified for 6 months or one year. I'd choose 6 months if possible.

I would like another what's up this week, and I'm reflecting on last week and your Ogham reading. I think that thanks to the reading I dodged some of the possible events, but I'll post better feedback in a bit.

In the You position I had Onn ill-dignified last week. You'd said that I might ask too much of my community or they of me, but there was nothing, until yesterday, when both church and political party asked! My instinct was to say 'Of course I'll help', as both are good and important things, but thanks to having the warning I said instead 'I'll need to think if I can commit to that role with my other obligations'. So now I'm considering. If I do over-commit, at least it'll be deliberate!


Situation was Quert, well dignified: one of my boys has budgies and the female laid eggs and is now setting, which makes him happy, all the boys have had multiple odd jobs that pay (nothing is as happy as a teen with cash in his pocket), Grandma took the girls on a very short road trip with amusement park, zoo, and natural history museum, so really, lots of folks close to me are having delight in their lives, and of course that makes me happy.

Outcome was Ur well-dignified, which you said is about Intimacy. This one is the hardest to see, but gives me some hope for a rough conversation my husband and I had, not any huge thing, but yet another cross-cultural communication problem. You'd think after twenty years we'd have more definitions worked out! We're both native English speakers, but while the words are the same, our definitions of those words are not.

For the first or You position, they give me Huath or Obstacles. It is well-dignified, which means that you'll have one or more onerous tasks or tough challenges this week but you'll come through the test with flying colors.

For the Middle or Situation position, which can mean things that are happening to you because of others or can actually be happening to someone close to you, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. This is to say that you or someone close to you will suffer an imbalance of defense: either too much or too little.

For the final position, or Karma, there is Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified. This is an admonishment to err on the side of generosity and to be "generous to a fault". There will be a temptation to go to one of two extremes, and that is the way of the spendthrift that wants to medicate via retail therapy or buy people's affections or the opposite route, which is to pinch pennies and be miserable no matter how much one actually has.

I've never done this before so I'm not sure if this is the right kind of question to consult the Ogham with, but here goes. I'm a Christian Neoplatonist, but I have no issue working with other deities. Lately during morning prayers to the Trinity, Jesus, the BVM, and St. Michael I've included Orphic Hymns for the the planetary deity de jour. Are the Christian and Hellenistic deities okay with this arrangement, and working with each other? Thank you in advance. May your practice be blessed.

They are saying that you might want to narrow it down. They give me Muin or Harvest ill-dignified, which is fairly mild as negative tree-letters go. The gods don't have a problem with you being eclectic, however, they are saying the "harvest" will be delayed if you jam in that many deities and modes of worship. My suggestion is that you not worry so much about covering so many bases and adapt some Hellenistic stuff to Christian saints who have striking resemblance to Hellenistic gods and goddesses. I don't know if you realized I have composed a bunch of Orphic Hymn songs to go with the ancient poetry, some of them are here: http://queeniemusic.bandcamp.com. I would have no problem if people took the tunes and adapted them to Christian prayers. Would not bother me one bit.
