My Ogham say it's generally a good week for you. They give me Onn or Community well-dignified in the You position, which is to say you will have a healthy, balanced camaraderie with your "tribe" this week, and that often involves co-workers or people in your groups. I consider Onn a card of people who are close but not intimate: acquaintances and casual friends.

For the middle Situation position, you drew Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified. If I remember correctly, you've drawn this card in the past. This points to feeling stuck, I think. In some cases it indicates the sensation of false transcendence, and though I don't think this applies to you directly, only you know. It's in Situation, which could mean someone who believes they have transcended but is actually running away from their problems. I have an ex-friend who was caught in the trap of false transcendence -- she used positivity schtick to avoid working on herself.
She denied her own bitterness and brutally attempted to squelch her depression, which of course did not work.

For the Outcome card, you have Ur or Intimacy. This means that you are healing and learning the lesson of intimacy this week. Intimacy in balance is the crucial sense of saying the right thing at the right time, no more and no less. It's the idea of providing comfort without to your loved ones without smothering. I am fortunate to have grown up with parents who knew when to back off. This has helped me a great deal in my marriage.

My Ogham say your funny feeling from the nether regions is no big thing. When I ask "Is there anything to worry about?" They say "No" in the form of Beith ill-dignified. This is to say that it's nothing unusual and it's a common beginner's phenomenon.

My Ogham predict you will get this job: they give me Koad well-dignified, which is a confluence of circumstances that conspire to get you hired.

For the Outcome, they give me Eadha or Limits ill-dignified. This means that they will either push your limits in a bad way or that the job will be boring, meaning that no limits will be pushed but there won't be a whole lot to look forward to either.

I’m confused about Eadha—does it mean no limits will be pushed or does it mean, “Hey, go out into the blizzard and retrieve shopping carts” or “Here, put these 50-pound bags of cat litter on the top shelf “?

To my surprise, I liked being a store clerk—it was interesting seeing what people bought. I wouldn’t try it in the city, it’s not interesting enough to risk your life, but here in Cornfield County it’s safe enough.

Hello Kimberly
Last autumn I took up Divination (Geomancy with shield chart and a dice). Last week I asked, if the dice is acceptable and got a No. Then I asked for severeal dices, a coin or a stone and always got a No. So I cut for pieces of wood and painted them in the colors of the elements. Today I tried them out and asked, if I would get very good results with this new set.
The answer was for Judge = Populus and for both witnesses = Via
I would interpret this again for a No. How would you?

Hi Stini,

I don't know how to read Geomantic tiles, so unfortunately I can't interpret your Populus/Via reading. That said, I asked "Will Stini get good results with the new set of hand-painted tiles?" and they say Yes. They give me Beith or Birch (Beginnings) well-dignified, which is to say your painted tiles are pleasing to the powers and you'll have a bright road ahead with them.

I'm doing JMG's CGD right now, so I have a little bit of experience.

I would interpret this positively for the purposes of divination.
Your Right and Left Witnesses mirror each other. The Judge is completely balanced passive, so has no hidden biases if the Witnesses present in good faith.

You probably shouldn't do geomantic magic with this set of tiles, however.

Sure.

The two current favorite beginner books are John Michael Greer's The Art and Practice of Geomancy and Stephen Skinner's Geomancy in Theory and Practice.JMG will comment on geomantic readings on his Magic Monday open posts at

ecosophia. A solid reading list can be found here. There are online courses; see if

abwatt has gotten around to publishing his yet.

Also see JMG's fundamentals of divination post.

If you look on Youtube you can find videos of geomancy sticks used as sigils in conjure work. That's jargon for taking a geomantic figure, making it with a set of sticks, and using it as a focus of will to affect event outcomes. Don't do that to your newly-made stick set.

By that same token, keep your sticks wrapped in silk or linen when not in use. Once your practice gets started divine if your sticks want periodic "cleaning" with Florida Water as well.

More questions about dreams. My divination indicates it would be good to ask you for further divination! Can you do a general "what's up" for a) "Argon" dream and b) rabbit/painting dream? I'm in one of those phases right now where it feels like I don't even sleep at night because I'm busy on the astral plane the whole time. Thank you!

For the Argon dream, my Ogham give me Ioho, which means Grace. Ioho is a card of letting go and endings. I find that it is useful to look at things/people I have let go of gracefully or ungracefully when I meditate on it. Ioho was well-dignified.

For the rabbit/painting dream, my Ogham give me Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified. This is to say that there may be either the feeling of stuckness in that dream and/or a warning about false transcendence.

This week looks a bit rough for you, but they give a solution at the end.

For the You (main) position this week, they give me Muin or Harvest ill-dignified. This means that Harvest is out of balance, which can point to either an excess or dearth of a sense of completion and reaping. It could refer to a major project that sits unfinished that needs to be done (me and my taxes come to mind ugh) or the over-harvesting of a thought pattern or behavior, like my husband when he decides to be a pill because he's in a bad mood.

For the middle card, the Situation, you drew Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. In this case, I would look for an outside factor that is exemplifying the opposite of grace and graciousness. Maybe it's someone who can't let go of their faded glory days or a relationship that's past its prime that needs to come to an end. Or it could be someone needing to let go of clutter or a bad habit.

For the final karmic lesson position, you drew Uilleand which means Generosity. The best approach to the other two cards is to be generous to a fault. If I had to nominate a deity to represent this card, it would be Master Jesus who gave up everything (and I mean everything) for the love of humankind.

Like the other commenter, I also am trying to choose between two things. In my case, between two groups of surgeons for my upcoming procedure. I've narrowed it down to these two. There's "the one I'm currently learning toward" and then there's uh "the other one." I looked up Uilleand and saw the following listed meanings: "Walking in your own power, knowing your own worth, fecundity, self disclosure, hidden secret." Many of those taken literally are pretty on the nose for the goal of the surgery (since it has both a functional and a diagnostic purpose). Are those the meanings your practice has associated with it?

I also thought it was interesting that it said Koad is connected to the heart. My worry about the first group was they are *not* in the same system as my cardiologist, who therefore can't directly advise them on anesthesia as she has others in the past. No idea if "Koad ill-dignified" could also mean "Yeah these guys might not handle the heart problem well" but I thought it was interesting.

For You, it will be Phagos or Teaching well-dignified. This is to say that the talismans will help you gain mastery over the concept of talismans in general.

For those around you, the result is Tinne, or Defense, ill-dignified. This means that you probably should refrain from saying a whole lot about the fact you have talismans because it is not helping the talismans do their job. What the Ogham seem to tell me here is the more secretive you are about your talismans, the better.

They say it could be up to five weeks.

I asked "Will it be over 5 weeks? If not, what number of weeks as symbolized by Ogham lines?" So they are saying "No, it won't be months, but it will be five weeks."

They gave me Ioho ill-dignified, which is a 5-line glyph.

Hi Annette,

I feel your pain on this one -- it's very difficult to be a business owner, especially in light of current events.

They give me Onn, or Community, well-dignified. They are saying that you have to find a way to reach your local community and that it is the key to success. I have found that keeping my prices affordable -- not cheaper than the competition, but in the middle to slightly lower than average -- has been a source of resilience especially in an area with heavy competition. As a result, my brand is more accessible than that of my competition, and does not put people off with an elitist or exclusive air. Another thing is that my "product" is vastly different to traditional lessons because I incorporate recording, nobody else in my area is doing that. Lastly, Aphrodite is definitely the goddess you want to do some planetary charity to draw customers. She is the people-attractor, and nothing draws a crowd (and their money) like a crowd.

Also, if you have a physical location, it's really important to get the aesthetic right. So many business owners ignore this! Decorating truly makes a difference. There are a ton of shops, restaurants, etc. I can think of that failed because they didn't take decor into account. There's a thousand and one gimmicks you can employ to bring customers into your door but decorating is what makes them want to return.

Frog porn is something I’ve been creating the last five years or so. I have a kiddy wading pool I use to collect tree frog eggs every spring. I’ve made videos on my phone of the frogs making the eggs, thus frog porn. Last year’s post on faceplant was the best, if I say so myself; I had a voice over of me singing “Froggy Went A Courtin” while the amphibians were at it. It rocked!

But I still need some kind of plan to keep my business going. Someone has to keep the overhead paid for. I doubt my next career as a Frog Pornographer will pay for the kibbles we need here!

My opinion based on nothing but a sensitivity to aesthetics (I'm not a business owner), for alternative health care I would want: soothing wall colors that aren't too bright but not too muted, a simple palette of colors in your furniture and decor (not too much going on, not much visual clutter), everything looking clean clean clean, ambient lighting (may need soft lamps in the waiting room if it's dark or window sheers if there's glaring light), flowers or other natural elements (but make sure they don't get dusty), any magazines or reading material are relatively current, maybe some soothing music piped in or an essential oil diffuser. It's nice to have water or hot tea available, though probably not during COVID times.

I’ve been in practice for 30 years and wonder if after all this COVID nonsense if it’s even worth it to continue. I’m working a bare schedule, essentially half a week.

I still practice because there are some people I’ve been taking care of for the full 30 years. It’s also still fun to help people. But the part about verging on having an expensive hobby is getting old, but I still want to keep practicing....I’m exploring what options are available to me.
