Thank you for offering to answer these questions! I have a few I'd like to ask:

1. Is there a demonic entity attached to me driving my porn addiction?

2. Is leaving vinegar out in my room having any effect?

3. I used to get really good results from incense, but since I put the vinegar out, much less so. Is the vinegar interfering with my incense?

My Ogham say "No" on three counts.

1. Good news! There is no demonic entity attached to you driving your porn addiction. They give me Luis, ill-dignified. In my system, Luis is the Maple and means that you'll be able to overcome your addiction with the help of your higher self.

2. No, the vinegar isn't doing anything. They give me Quert ill-dignified which is to say it's not harming anything either. My strong suggestion is that you print out a design like what is pictured here: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Sacred_geometry and place it near where you work, sleep, or preferably both. This will confound any entity that tries to mess with you. Personally, I find placing designs like this in my sleeping area more potent than vinegar and salt.

3. It's not. They give me Ailm ill-dignified. Ailm is Transcendence and points to you having a Watcher At The Threshold moment. You are being proofed. This too shall pass but you must persevere through it.

Was Pele pleased with my offering last week?

My Ogham say No, she wasn't! They give me Ruis ill-dignified. Ruis means Regret. I wouldn't take it too seriously. Definitely try again. (My Ogham seem to be on a downer today and Im not sure why.)

Keep in mind that many gods can be displeased when humans offer them animal products. I did LOTS of meditation on this issue over the past few years. The reason for this is because of the current boom in human population and the corresponding strain it has placed upon non-human animals. What used to be cool -- a bit of meat, often the worst cuts, the bones and gristle, etc., some eggs, or say a pot of honey, isn't seen as a personal sacrifice like it used to be. Back in the day, when there were no industrialized slaughterhouses, great garbage patches in the ocean, or neurotoxic pesticides, it was cool to offer the blood of a lamb you were going to eat anyway, for instance. Or you might have gathered the honey yourself, risking some bad stings LOL, back in a time when pollinators were far more prolific. Nowadays an animal offering is just another industrial product. It's been suggested to me by some of the gods I work with to offer poetry reading or music, including carefully curated recorded music. They absolutely seem to love it. It doesn't have to be original music.

I offered her incense: was it the incense which was the problem? (I plan to try again tomorrow regardless; I hope to figure it out through prayers, but prayer is new to me, and so I'm finding it requires skills which I need to work on)

I asked "Does Pele have anything to say through me?" (to you of course) and she said "Yes". She gave me Saille which means Willow or Sensitivity. This is her way of saying to you: "Thanks for bothering to ask, most don't!" She appreciates your willingness to listen. She encourages you to be flexible -- to bend like a willow branch! We are all in this situation as many in our time have forgotten about magic and prayer. We're all having to reinvent traditions!

Hi Kimberly,

One last question for Pele, if you don't mind: is it the particular incense I offered, or is incense not a good offering in general?

One avenue I'm exploring is finding out how native Hawaiians worshipped Pele, but a lot of what I'm finding is mythology, not worship practice....

I asked Pele through the Ogham if she likes incense and she said Yes. She gave me Duir or Oak which means Gifts. I think this is fairly enthusiastic. When I asked if you should try a different incense, she said Yes. I got Quert or Apple well-dignified.

Hi,

My Ogham give me Gort, well-dignified in reference to "monadnock". Gort is Ivy or Perseverance. The ability to outlast adversity, to adapt, and to be resilient is implied here.

Yes, they say it does relate to your past life. They give me Koad, or Confluence, well-dignified which means that it has to do with the intersection of this life and your past life/lives. It's a lesson you have been tasked with learning over a broad span of time and space.

My Ogham say no.

My Ogham are on a bit of a negative streak today, so please take that with plenty of grains of salt. They say No on both counts. They say the Eastern Orthodox Church you have in mind may not be "the one". Is there another in your area? Be ready to try more than one branch or church. They give me Beith, or Birch (Beginnings) ill-dignified. They also say that you will not immediately obtain a sponsor, but that could change. They give me Fearn, Alder (Bridge) ill-dignified, which says to me that there will either be a lack of sponsorship altogether or a sponsor with a big ego who thinks of himself/herself as a guru and is a bit unbalanced. Be on the lookout for these things. Good luck!

Hi,

My Ogham say to keep adjusting it. They give me Ioho ill-dignified, which means that it's not quite right. Ioho signifies endings or Grace, and my thoughts are that the general direction is OK, but you might need to switch out one or more of the gods, meaning you need to fine-tune it for it to be "graceful". For instance, if you are working with the Greek pantheon, you might try Hermes in the East corner instead of Zeus, or Hestia in the South instead of Ceres. Hope this makes sense.

Books to Know Ogham Better

Most of my knowledge of the Ogham was born of discursive meditation. I meditate on the Ogham almost every night, and for a while it was my main discursive meditation subject in the daytime as well. That said, I have found Paul Rhys Montfort's Ogam to be useful. I'm also a fan of The Magic and Medicine of Plants from the Reader's Digest series and Herbal Simples by William Thomas Fernie, M.D.

My Ogham say it's Lugh. They give me Oir, which is a Forfedha, well-dignified. Oir is the spear of Lugh and it means Epiphany. Lugh is a fire god.

You mentioned fire god, which immediately made me think of Pele, as I'm the guy who's working with her: is it possible it's Pele? I find the idea of multiple fire gods taking interest in me rather strange, to put it mildly: I have very little fire in my makeup!

Then again, I suppose there could be plenty of reasons for it....

There are so many possibilities -- for all we know, Pele and Lugh are aspects of the same deity! I myself am extremely fiery by nature; it can be a bit out of control sometimes. Maybe you need the influence of a fire god in order to address what you lack -- I know that I have prayed to gods of the Earth, Air, and Water at various times because of my deficits concerning these elements.

Hi Tamanous,

My Ogham say Yes. They give me Huath, which means Hawthorn (Obstacles) and there will be trials ahead. Watch for imbalances of the sort that must be weathered. You may be tempted to force things... don't. You might also have an obstacle that you feel like running away from, which is the opposite form of imbalance to forcing a thing. Either way, be prepared to take the high road and persevere.

I asked "Is his affection for the querent (You) based in something true? My Ogham say a resounding Yes. They give me me Luis, well-dignified. Well-dignified means it is "right side up" and indicates an affirmative. As for Luis, it symbolizes Protection. The tree in the old European system is Rowan but in my adapted Midwestern Prairie Ogham it is Maple. This Ogham says that this person can help you be your best self and the same is true for him where you are concerned.

Hi, thanks for your answer before. I have a different kind of question this time.

My friend who I have known for maybe 10 years returned to his home country for a quick visit just before the travel window closed and so remained there. We interacted on email since then. At the beginning of November I received the latest mail from him. A feeling said I should reply quickly, but took a week to do so (nothing unusual normally, sometimes several weeks go by). Since then no response. Knowing him it could be anything, e.g. losing his device or internet access, wanting to make a break from existing tough circumstances, or even the election nonsense has changed something.

So my question is:
* where is he, is he ok?
* why no reply?
* how to get back in contact (I have no other contact details)?

The Ogham can't tell you exactly where he is, so I'll pass on asking them that question.

Is he OK? They say no, he's not. They give me Beith, which is Birch (Beginnings) ill-dignified. This points to him either trying to make a new beginning and not being able to do so or finding himself with too many directions to decide.

I asked them if he has a disagreement with you and they say No. They give me Eadha, which means Aspen (Limits) and that means that it is limits that are keeping from getting a hold of you. This could mean anything from the postal service not delivering mail to him not having received your message at all.

I asked if you would be able to contact him again and they said No. They give me Duir or Oak ill-dignified. Oak means Gifts, which implies that you should wait. Then I asked if he will reach back out to you and they say Yes. They gave me Koad, which means Grove or Confluence.

Are you familiar with the concept of planetary charity? You might try doing some planetary charity to Hermes, messenger god of cross-country communication, and ask him to help you reconnect with your friend.

Thanks for this. He has been having a rough time for the last several years, pulling through adversity and heavy burdens somehow, but only getting by barely, not thriving. Your comment on Beith matches the circumstances as I understand it to be.

Could I get a general what's up this week reading?

Hi,

For the You position, my Ogham give me Oir, Epiphany (Spindle) which indicates you will have an epiphany or realization of some sort. Look for an "ah-ha" moment, which could be positive, negative, in-between, or all three at once.

For the Situation position, they give me Phagos, which is Teaching (Beech). It's a week of philosophical, contemplative opportunities for you. I would journal about whatever events happen this week in order to analyze them later.

For the Outcome, they give me Eadha, Limits (Aspen). This one is ill-dignified. This suggests you'll either be pushed outside of your limits or you won't feel up to pushing your limits at all. As it is in the final position, it indicates you are being tasked to learn a lesson about limits this week.

I just finished the LBRP, and once again found a weird tingling sensation on my back, between my shoulders. What is causing it?

Hi, I drew a single card for you on this one: they gave me Uilleand or Generosity (Honeysuckle). This indicates you are trying too hard. The tingling is a symptom of overexertion. They reassure you it's not harmful. My Ogham suggest that you relax and not worry so much while you do the LBRP. (LBRP is the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram for those not in the know)

Just FYI, sometimes I feel odd bodily sensations, get teary-eyed, or hear things (clairaudience) during my daily Sphere of Protection.
