Happy Monday, Kimberly!

Due to some poor decisions about realistic scheduling on my part (abetted by some of the usual sorts willpower issues I have yet to overcome) I find myself in a hell week where I am stuck at my job when I need to be furiously arranging for an album recording this weekend, and I am having trouble seeing how I can realistically reach that light at the end of the tunnel.

I am not sure how flexible the Ogham are, but I am interested in knowing what you see when asking them for advice on how I can best navigate the week ahead. If that seems like a feasible question to you.

I feel you on the "poor decisions about realistic scheduling". Story of my life, right there.

I did a three letter reading for you this week.

The first letter they give me is Beith, which means you are in a good spot for a new beginning. Beith is the birch tree, the innocence of springtime, and the will to move forward. I think that's their way of saying that the album project will be ultimately very good for you and make you happy. The second letter they give me in the Situation position is Coll, which means Wisdom. Coll is Hazelnut. This means that you'll be wiser because of this week and that you have wisdom around you that you can draw upon. Maybe someone close to you is providing wisdom and insight or there's a non-corporeal entity such as an angel or a god helping you out. The third letter they give me, the Outcome or Karmic Lesson of this week is Huath ill-dignified. Huath means hawthorn and is a warning neither to force things nor to give up. This week will be extremely exhausting and challenging and it will be hard to balance everything just right in order to get through it. If Indiana Jones dodging boulders as he jumps out of a cave means anything to you, it is an apt metaphor for this week.

Dear Kimberly,
This morning I'd like to ask questions about my ritual performance. While I don't have a teacher and I'm not very sensitive, I guess some divination won't hurt to gauge my progress.
Am I performing properly the Lesser banishing ritual of pentagram? Is it working?
My performances of the Middle Pillar are right, aren't them?

Hi Edu,

For your first question, "Am I performing the LBRP properly?" My Ogham say No, but they give me a humorous tree letter in the form of Quert which means Apple or Celebration. What they are saying is "No, it's not exactly right, but you shouldn't worry about it, because it's like making hummus: you can substitute ingredients and fudge the amounts to some degree and it will still be tasty".

For your second question, and I would argue this question is the one that matters -- "Is it working?" They say Yes in the form of Ruis. Ruis means Regret and when it is well-dignified, it means you have the benefit of regret, meaning you've been around the block enough to make a sound judgement on how to go forward. They are saying just keep doing the LBRP in your way and you'll be fine.

For the Middle Pillar question, they say No in the form of Tinne. Tinne means Defense, so I would suggest evaluating how you are doing the Middle Pillar and to figure out who or what might be attacking you. This who or what could be just about anything, so I would meditate on it if I were you.

Humorous, indeed. Sometimes the Oracles show special sparks of humor and what the Ogham said about the LBRP is a good example. I was afraid the answer could be my ritual was not good enough and not working at all. Frequently, I had many doubts, v. gr. how to trace the stars, or if the way I translated the ritual was preventing it to work.
The MP answer worried me deeply at first. Anyway, it would be one of the many interesting, unexpected and extraordinary things I've seen in this travel through the realms of magic.

Why do I freeze up when asked to tell a story?

Hi Anon,

My Ogham give me Ngetal, which means Broom in the old system and Goldenrod in my system. Overall, Ngetal is a tree of hygiene. I think what they are saying is that you are a perfectionist and that you worry too much. Have you journaled about it? I would try alternate forms of storytelling, for instance recording audio of yourself reading a children's tale aloud and then posting it online somewhere, or memorizing some jokes or silly short poems and then trying them out on your friends, and see if that helps you break the ice with storytelling. A story by someone else or a joke is still a story... Maybe miniaturizing other people's "stories" can help you to tell longer ones.

A bit more general question for you this week. Some fringe types have speculated that theres going to be unusual happenings this US presidential inauguration on January 6th. So my question is, will Biden become president on inauguration day without any unusual twists?

I asked my Ogham two questions:

Will Biden become president on inauguration day? They said Yes. They gave me Uilleand, which means Generosity. I'm not sure what that means at all. The Forfedha of the Ogham are like Tarot's major arcana: they can't be interpreted as positive or negative via their dignity. Uilleand can also mean taking advantage of generosity in a negative way, meaning over-using someone or a resource until it is depleted and brittle.

For the second question, Will there be any unusual twists, they also say Yes. They give me Oir, another Forfedha that means Epiphany. I think what they are saying here is that many revelations about Biden and his camp will be made known. This is NOT good for the Democrats. As I have said before, the Pedogate thing is building up steam and because of their cheating, gaslighting, and COVID destruction, the Democrats could be looking at severe vigilante justice. Trump will rule whether he's elected or not, and by disenfranchising him and his voters, they cripple themselves and make him into a demigod.

I'm trying to pick up ritual magic, but when I go to perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, I end up feeling like I physically can't get the words out, the imagery just doesn't appear at all, and I have to fight really hard to keep going. Where is my resistance to the ritual coming from?

Hi Anon,

I did a three card reading for you on this one.

For the You position, they give me Koad, which means there is a confluence of factors interfering with the LBRP that you must trudge through. Some of this is outside distraction. Having a hard time getting the words out sounds like the kind of drag that occurs when you've got a Watcher at the Threshold. I have the same Watcher when it comes to music production and it sucks. You just have to keep slogging for now. Koad is a Forfedha (like a Tarot major arcana) and I don't read it well or ill dignified when I am doing a general reading like this one.

The second card they give me for the imagery issues is Duir or Oak ill-dignified. There is no bad side to Duir, so this is a nice card to have for the Situation position I am reading it in. Duir means having to pay it forward, but it also means you will receive a gift or have received a gift. I see this card as saying you need to do some planetary charity. If you are worshipping a pantheon, I would try propitiating the deity you have on the Western corner of your LBRP as that is the one that rules the subconscious and images.

For the final position, they give me Uilleand or Generosity in the Karmic Lesson or Outcome area of the reading. This is a good tree letter to draw in this position. You are being tested. This could have something to do with a past life. The reason I have such problems with music production is because I was an arrogant prick of a musician in a former life. For this reason, I have had to battle my own crappy tendencies in order to gain any foothold or success in music in this life. Victories I have in the musical realm are almost uniformly hard won, but they are sweet when they happen. Keep plugging!

Oddly, my Ogham say No. I asked them "Should they learn geomancy in the next year?" and they gave me Luis ill-dignified. Luis is the guardian angel tree, so I'm not sure why they said no.

Hi,

My Ogham say No, and they give me Nuin ill-dignified. Nuin in the old system is the Ash tree and in mine it is the Gingko Biloba. It means Communication on the large scale and is a Mercurial tree that absolutely could be referring to mainstream media. Your mom is obsessed by mainstream media, nothing more, but sadly they do not have her best interests in mind. Most people right now, including some that are very close to me, are in astral garbage dumps. Some individuals become monsters themselves because of the monstrous conditions in their portion of the astral plane; some just do dumb things like compulsive shopping or drinking. Some become severely depressed, some become serial murderers. Demons don't have to lift a finger when we humans are so good at screwing ourselves!

You've mentioned "your system" more than once as being different from the classic system. Have you made an Illinois tallgrass prairie ogham, by any chance?

Now my question... Are the Robin Hood legends a good myth for *me* to eventually (after building up quite a bit of experience) build a system of occult philosophy around?

Oh and by the way, I messaged you awhile back about which nature books about your local area you read for your first-year AODA requirements. I know your life is super crazy right now, butjust wondered if you've had time to run down a list for me. No hurry whatsoever.

Thanks for asking! Yes, I have come up with the lion's share of a northern Illinois Ogham. I'll have to post about it on my Ogham site.

I'll ask about the Robin Hood legends when I'm fresher... it's almost my bedtime and I'm pooped.

I do have a couple of books to recommend, but nothing near a definitive list. One is Reader's Digest Magic and Medicine of Plants. I've loved that book ever since I was in my teens and it helped me identify hundreds of local plants and trees. Another is Edible Gardening in the Midwest. My mom has a coffee table book called Midwest Gardening that is out of print -- it was actually written by our old neighbor who moved away. It is full of good information. I have a Audobon Field Guide to Trees as well. The rest of my tree and plant knowledge has been cobbled together from my mom, online searches, trips to the Arboretum, and the occasional Youtube video. I find Lesley the Bird Nerd's channel very helpful.

My Ogham says Yes. They give me Fearn, which means Bridge. The damage done by the vaccine and its failure will be a pathway to alternatives to the Progress narrative. A general distrust of allopathic medicine is on its way -- I have sensed this for a long time. Big Pharma, Big Insurance, and Big Healthcare have price gouged and exploited people's illnesses with no intention of curing them for far too long. Blowback is coming and it will be extreme. There will also be blowback for many decades to come for those who blindly pushed the Progress narrative at all costs. In other words, there's never been a better time to collapse now and avoid the rush.

They give me three cards for you on this one.

The first is You, and they give me Duir or Gifts (Oak) ill-dignified. There is no bad side to Duir, but the ill-dignified position means that you will be obligated to pay the gifts you receive from the system to others and/or you will end up becoming "generous to a fault" because of what you gain from the system. The second card they give me is Straif (Blackthorn), ill-dignified. You'll have some rough situations as this is in the Situation position. You will be tempted to lapse in practice or delayed. You will have some event or events that will be straining and difficult that are initiations. Initiation isn't always an obvious experience. Lastly, they give me Ioho or Grace (Yew) well-dignified for the Outcome or Karmic Lesson position. This means that you will reach a phase of spiritual adulthood, acceptance, and maturity because of your work with LRM.

No. My Ogham give me Beith, ill-dignified, which means that mostly they are just your brain working overtime. Mass violence and destruction always happen -- that's humanity! -- but as far as them happening to you or your loved ones, nope.

Unfortunately no. They give me Ngetal ill-dignified. Ngetal refers to cleanliness and the SoP is the equivalent of an astral bath or shower, so what they are trying to say, I think is that praying to your current gods is fine, but for the actual SoP you need to look for an alternate pantheon.

I pray to a bunch of Greek gods, Bastet, and even Jesus of Nazareth every now and then but my SoP uses the Druid gods Hu, Sul, Elen, Esus, Ced, and Celi if that is any help.

Hmm, they say no on both counts. They give me Quert or Apple (Delight) ill-dignified for "Is it Ishtar?" For the second question, they give me Oir or Epiphany ill-dignified. This seems to point to you having an epiphany about who you are propitiating and why they are not pleased with your current mode of propitiation. Personally, I often have epiphanies during discursive meditation.

Where I live is both expensive and progressive. However I love my job and I cannot keep it if I leave. If I stay I also have connections to start my own venture.

I'm considering moving to find more sanity and cheaper living, but am unsure if I can find an equally satisfying job if I do. I'm looking at New Hampshire but have other ideas too.

What does the Ogham say regarding staying here, buying property, and making this my stand in lightof the factors?

What does it say regarding moving and buying, in light of the factors?
