Photoshop is a thing though, and there's no reason to think that the magazine cover in the final morphs is any more "real" than the photoshops of the fashion models on magazine covers. A magazine designer wanted him to look that way.

But thing is, there's no reason to even think he was innocent even in the early photos. That same fresh faced Zuck was the guy who was offering personal information from harvard students to his buddies while calling his users while insulting their intelligence. The only difference between old Zuck and new Zuck is that new Zuck has the business sense to make people pay for the access.
