I didn’t want to be hired last week because I injured my toe quite severely, I thought I might have broken it, but this week I could tolerate standing at a cash register.

My Ogham say a new job is not forthcoming this week. They give me Beith (Birch) or Beginnings ill-dignified.

Yeah, this week is a mess. I know some Ecosophians report feeling calm energy as a result of the Grand Mutation but personally I don't feel it at all. I went for a walk in the forest preserve today and the drive there and back felt oppressive. More papered-over hysteria. People are still extremely high strung with no sign of relief. I saw three pedestrians with masks on in the middle of the outdoors: all were men. One was riding a bike and another was waiting outside for the PACE bus.

My uncle is suffering from this insanity. My mom reported that she saw him plowing the driveway--out on their rural property--all by himself, wearing one of those disposable masks?!?!

Ugh, sorry to hear that! Sadly the only thing that proves is the mask's importance as a symbol and not as a safety measure.

Thanks for asking about my business -- it's hanging in there. It's going to be precarious for the next year is what my Ogham tell me. There are some students considering coming back and have called me to say as much but unfortunately the climate of fear is still very thick here, despite the extremely low risk of dying from Covid (much less than one percent if you are under 60, even with the new, more virulent strain). The economy in Illinois is in ruins because of Pritzker's bumbling with no end in sight. I have resolved to muscle through it and be grateful that I have students at all.

I now have a 2-tone toe. The top’s pretty much back to its normal (Caucasian) color but Sonkitten says the bottom is black. Ask your Ogham if the outlook is favorable for starting a 2-toned toe fad. 😄. Tell it I’ll cut it in for 10% if the fad takes off.

What do I need to know about how the grand mutation applies to me personally?

Is the default pantheon of the Dolmen Arch suitable for me to work through the material?

On the Grand Mutation question, they give me Quert, which is Delight or the Apple tree well-dignified. You'll most likely benefit from the various factors shaping the mutation is what I believe they are saying!

On the Dolmen Arch question, it's a No, the default entities are not suitable for you. They give me Ailm ill-dignified. Ailm is Transcendence and they are saying it just won't be the right fit with the original entities.

Which pantheon should I use instead?

I'm not sure the Ogham are the best divination tool to answer that question... My suggestion is that you read some of the myths of various cultures (I suggest checking out books from the illustrated Time Life Enchanted World series from the library) and getting a sample of what's out there. See which myths and stories appeal to you. For instance, if you find that you enjoy reading Grimm's fairy tales, maybe the Germanic deities would be worth a look. Or if you like the animated films of Hayao Miyazaki, it wouldn't be a bad idea to consider petitioning the Shinto deities. Once you've got a lead or two as to which deities you like, please re-ask my Ogham "Would these deities be willing to help me by starring as my Dolmen Arch pantheon?"

The Ogham give me Oir, or Epiphany, when I ask how the Grand Mutation will affect you. You'll likely have more than one realization that is a culmination of your karma, and in general, this will be positive.

For the Dolmen Arch, they give me Uilleand well-dignfied, which means the existing pantheon will be suitable in your case. Pardon my ignorance, but does the Dolmen Arch work with the Druid gods Hu, Esus, Ced, Elen, etc.? Uilleand means Generosity, so you'll most likely be presented with the concept of gifts and tasked to understand the depths of charity, generosity, and sacrifice with the help of those gods.

Thanks Kim! Yes, the dolmen arch works with Hu, Esus, Sul, Elen, Ced and Celi in the SoP (and accompanying work)and Hu, Esus, Ceridwen and Niwalen are used in the opening cross.

I'm just wondering about my journey with essential oils. I've been into them lately & while I'm not looking to make money from using them, is it a worthwhile mental & financial investment? It's just a bit of a hobby now, should I get serious about it?

And I'm just curious about the pantheons that are being mentioned. I don't know much about it but am of Northern European/Baltic descent with a bit of Viking Scot thrown in. Do you have any suggestions? It's hard to think of forest deities and archetypes when in a place like Florida, surrounded by saltwater and scrub, although I do feel a deep connection to the wildlife here.

Happy Alban Arthuan & Merry Christmas to you! My Ogham have good things to say about your essential oils. I asked them if they would be a good emotional investment, and they give me a Yes in the form of Gort, which is Ivy or Perseverance. Meaning that you are getting real benefits from them on many planes and you should continue using them and doing things with them. Secondly, I asked if they were a good financial investment and the Ogham say Yes in the form of Fearn. Fearn is Alder or Bridge and they seem to be saying that you should perhaps try to make your own formulations and sell them. This is me talking now, not my Ogham: I'd be wary however of pyramid schemes -- there are lots of them out there where essential oils are concerned.

I've been getting my oils from a site based in Oregon where the prices are better and will buy small batches of what I want  here and there, slowly building a collection. They've gotten good reviews online and I hope all is ok with what I'm getting. I wouldn't know the difference, lol! There is a local new agey place where I could go to put them to the smell test by smelling their testers but will probably be limited by my refusal to wear a mask, so I haven't tried. 

 

For me, Florida seems to be all about the birds. I'm not as close to the water as I used to be, but feel a strong connection to the movements of the birds here. The other day our backyard Osprey nest was visited by the local breeding couple as they gear up to make more babies. It lifts the heart to see them, always. I've taken some beautiful photos of them over the years. 

 

I almost forgot about the Green Man, and/or Cernunnos. Our home has an interesting connection here, and it's hard to describe without photos. 

In short, we have a semi-enclosed entryway to our front door with a large skylight. My plants love it in there and my orchids thrive in there, too. Our front doors are just plain double doors with these unique molded faces on them. They are removeable, and are 6 to each door. Strange, angry looking faces. (this entryway was one of the reasons I fell in love with this house) When we had to have the doors replaced due to a break-in, I went out of my way to keep them. 

 

It took years for me to realize who it was. 

 

I have a rudimentary knowledge of pagan deities at best, and one day while I was cleaning the doors it hit me. I actually straightened up and asked out loud, "Is that Cernnunos??"

The Midwest doesn't have a whole lot in common with Europe either, so if it's any consolation, I wouldn't worry about the ethnic incorrectness of a mixed-breed European worshipping the great god Pan in the Okeechobee swamp. As a Japanese-European (100% American, yay!) mutt, I have no self-consciousness at all about the place where I happened to land. I have only been to Florida a couple of times but it seems to me extremely Venereal. All of that tropical fruit and lush green everywhere yells "Aphrodite!" in my opinion.

Hi, my Ogham say Yes. They give me Phagos, which means Teaching, well-dignified. This seems to indicate when one or both of you reaches a certain level of maturity, you will be reconciled.

I have the same question as someone else: will I ever be reconciled with my former friend who no longer speaks to me?

I'm also curious: what will happen as a result of my application to join the Druidical Order of the Golden Dawn?
