Your Opinions Wanted On Logos

I'm in the logo design stage of planning for my book Sacred Homemaking and I'm wondering what my readers think of these. Let me know if you like any one of them and let me know what you would change, if anything. I'm not attached to any of them; I'm just brainstorming at this point.

My favorite is the Venereal Green, followed by the Rustic moon cover.

The top one is a little too...bad kitchen witchery.

I like two and three; something about the font and graphic combination has a polished, professional look. Probably three (star & moon) first, then two (rustic moon).

I like the venerial green. The moonie logos are attractive but smack a bit neopagan.

I wonder if you take Venereal Green, keep the symbol in green but switch the background to white, and then play around with the font choices a bit... I do see the point about Moon & Star looking more neopagan.

Another thought, you could chose the Ogham few which mostly closely matches the overall theme of your book and then use a stylized image of that tree/plant as part of the logo. Canva has a lot of new botanical images in a line drawing or sketch style that might work. That would be a possible concept if you want a general "nature" vibe.

Venereal green followed by rustic moon. Mostly because high-contrast patterns are hard on my eyes. But I can see where the green one might not work well in a B/W-only printing or Kindle Paperwhite scenario.

I like this version. Can you make "Sacred" a little bigger so that the lines of the triangle go through the gaps between the letters?

Also, I don't know if anyone has caught that the point-down triangle with a line through it is the alchemical symbol for Earth.

I was wondering about this. Is the notion of homemaking more closely related to the earth element? I've just started learning about these things, so forgive me if the question is rather basic.

From what I have been able to tell, yes, homemaking is an extremely earthy pursuit. What makes a home is primarily an etheric phenomenon -- think of feng shui and how it shapes the unseen energy called chi. When the energy/chi of a home is in balance, it restores and replenishes the energy of anyone who comes into that space. The goddess Aphrodite rules over the greater aspect of home and she is an earthy, green goddess. She represents peacetime, nurturing, sex for fun and procreation, arts (especially music), aesthetic beauty both in decorating and personal adornment, and gardens, especially food gardens such as potagers. Personally I suspect she and the Lady Bast are sister goddesses if not the same goddess and that's why I attribute cats to Aphrodite.

Thanks for chiming in, it helps a great deal! Right now, Rustic Moon and Venereal Green are tied, with Star & Moon trailing behind by one point and Black & White coming in last.

Busy or Simple?

I like the Homey Home, and also the Log Cabin design; both very traditional. But neither gives any design hint to stress the sacredness of homemaking other than the title; they could be used on any run-of-the-mill book of household tips. Perhaps one could be combined with the Venereal Green and it's earth symbol? Maybe the Homey Home or Log Cabin could be placed above the inverted delta? Or would that make it too busy? A simple design might be best, as an easy identifier for your work. Venereal Green alone would fit that description.

Thanks! Yes, too busy can be a problem. Right now Venereal Green is winning because it is the simplest yet it still has enough symbols (via the color and the Earth symbol) to communicate what the book will be about. I can also make a black & white version for e-readers.
