Hi,

My Ogham are giving a straight up "no" on this one. They give me Huath, which is Obstacles, ill-dignified. Certainly ask again at a future time.

Venus rules pets, so if you want one, I'd suggest some planetary charity to Aphrodite/Venus on a Friday, especially during a waxing moon.

This week is looking unbalanced. All of your Ogham trees were ill-dignified, which means each one is imbalanced in one of two directions: excess or too little energy.
For your general state, they give me Coll, which means you'll either have too much or too little "Wisdom" energy. Too little means you won't feel wise enough to handle issues that come up OR that you'll overestimate your abilities. For the middle position, which is the Situation, we have Beith or Birch, and that means you'll either want to go in too many directions that won't help you OR that your get up and go got up and went. I drew this one last week when I had to soldier through a low-energy day. It was a good day anyway, I just had a bit of fatigue. The final Ogham, the Lesson or Outcome of this week, is Eadha which is Aspen. This is Limits and it means that you'll either not feel up to the limit OR you'll be tempted towards limitlessness, which is equally harmful. Fodder for meditation for sure!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I made that site in hopes people would use it for discursive meditation and to inspire a more productive way of thinking than the usual New Age rigamarole.

When I draw Coll, it usually means I'm in danger of talking too much. Recently when I drew it, I was messaging back and forth with a rather difficult client who was one of those trigger-temper types, ready to warp anything I said completely out of proportion. Usually when I draw Coll ill-dignified, I take a polite, less is more approach -- the fewer words said, the better. It certainly worked with the difficult client, who couldn't get a reaction out of me and disappeared. (His disappearance was also likely assisted by my daily banishing ritual) Combative types often are unintentional psychic vampires who feed off of a defensive/angry response from others. If you give them nothing but a polite wall to respond to, they go away.

Am I close to being in harmony with my destiny? If not, what do I need to focus on?

Destiny is tricky. I don't make my own destiny, but I do put myself on a trajectory with every choice, no matter how small. If destiny is a "web of fate", each human destiny is a single thread that decides whether to go right or left, up or down. Sometimes I am propelled by the direction I was previously going (inertia) and other times I fight. Sometimes I go backwards. Sometimes I charge ahead. There are outside factors opposing, helping, or indifferent to me to contend with, each with their own webs. Sometimes what looks like destiny is actually the psychology of previous investment because you're afraid to part with patterns already in place. That in itself is meant to serve as a lesson, I think, and it's entirely up to the individual whether or not they want to learn it in this incarnation. One affirmation I have found useful when you want to improve whatever nature has in store is to say "I am a better person today than I was yesterday, if only by the slightest bit." It's part affirmation and part promise to the gods to be braver, kinder, humbler, more generous, more diligent, more hardworking, and gentler than before, whether that is easy or like squeezing blood from a rock. As a result, the web that is spun is of stronger thread and seeks a direction in allegiance with the will of higher powers.

As for "What do I need to focus on?" The Ogham give me three cards.

The first card is You, and they give me Eadha or Limits well dignified. They are saying the best course of study for you is to know where you end and someone else (be they human, animal, vegetable, god, etc.) begins. Limits are not a bad thing despite our culture's fetish for limitlessness.

The second card is the Situation. They give me Ailm, or Transcendence well-dignified. You will be given help from the outside which will help you to transcend problems and bad situations. This help could be human or from non-corporeal beings or most likely a mixture of both.

The third card or the Lesson is Tinne, also well-dignified. Tinne is Defense. Resilience is a form of defense. A good defense always implies a balanced state of flexibility. For example, if I want to defend my home from hostile people, one of the most effective things I can do to increase my defense is to be friendly and helpful to everyone in my neighborhood. By helping them defend their homes from bad influences, they will in turn help me do the same. If I were "defensive" and got butthurt every time their dogs peed on my lawn or whatever, I would be weakening myself and my home.

Hello Kimberley, hope you're keeping well. If you don't mind I'd like to ask a follow up up question on the reading you gave me last week. The Ogham indicated that there is a spirit with a reputation for generosity trying to get through to me. I'm a total newbie at this esoteric stuff have no idea how to hear or identify any spirit. Could a reading narrow down the options a bit? Not asking for a name but say some indication of gender and tradition/pantheon.

All signs point to a lunar goddess. They gave me the Ace of Cups twice, which means the goddess trying to contact you is female. The Ace of Cups is an extremely feminine, lunar card. In my deck, the Thoth/Aleister Crowley deck, it is a picture of a sword plunging into a flower. They also gave me the trump card The Moon. Personally, I have relationships with the lunar goddesses. Some examples of lunar goddesses include Artemis, Isis, the Virgin Mary, Hecate, and Athena.

Hi Andrew,

My Ogham say that you'll have a pretty good week. The first card they give me, the You position, is Luis or Guidance, well-dignified. This means that you'll be compelled to be your best self this week and that you'll be sensitive to your Holy Guardian Angel.

The second position, the Situation, is Ailm, or Transcendence, ill-dignified, which points to a situation you won't be able to transcend and/or someone around you who isn't able to make the best out of their circumstances and who you cannot help.

The third card they give me is Uilleand or Generosity. This card means that the Lesson you will be tasked to learn about involves the returns of a generous nature and why generosity is always the best choice.

Hi! I'm the person who asked about a potential surgery last week. Thanks for doing this!

My follow-up question this week is: If I don't have surgery but instead take the prescription drug treatment I've been offered, what will happen?

(I know you only signed up to practice your divination skills and not explain them, so no problem if you don't want to answer this, but I was also just wondering, how does something being "ill-dignified" affect its meaning?)

Hi, I'm not comfortable answering yes or no questions that involve medical treatment, so I'm going to pass.

In my system, when an Ogham is ill-dignified, it means that it is out of balance in one of two extreme directions. Let's take the Ogham Quert, which is the apple tree and means Celebration when well-dignified. Let's say you are going to a party and you ask about how it will go and Quert pops up. If it's well-dignified, this is saying that you'll have fun at the party and you'll have good feelings about it all around. If it's ill-dignified, this could mean that you end up not going to the party (not enough Celebration) or it turns out to be boring. Not the end of the world, but the balance wasn't tipped towards fun and merriment. Let's say you do go and you drink too much, eat half a cake, and end up wearing a lampshade on your head. You feel like garbage the next day and have a bit of regret for getting so crazy. Again, not the end of the world, but it was clearly too much Celebration. It is up to you to figure out which imbalance the Ogham meant in my system.

I'm sorry, I didn't think I asked a yes or no question? I'm confused now. (For one thing, it's occurred to me that I might not be able to get the surgery I'm considering even if I decide to pursue it. Last week I asked what will happen if I *get* it, not what will happen if I *pursue* it, you know?) Has something changed since last week? No big deal, I'm just...befuddled here.

Hi,

My Ogham give me three cards.

For You, they give me Nuin ill-dignified. Nuin is Communication. This means it won't be easy to get your message across this week, whether this is to other individuals or to the larger outside world. Usually Nuin indicates the larger outside world though. Either you'll be trying too hard to get your point across or you'll feel too diluted (a dearth of Communication energy).

The Situation is Huath, or Obstacles. You or someone close to you will overcome difficulty this week -- since it's Situation, it could be either coming at you from the outside world or be happening to someone else. Because it is well-dignified, the indication is that you or they will be successful.

The Outcome or Lesson is Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. The best defense, as I have mentioned upthread, is resilience. There will be a lesson learned this week that has to do with either being overly or underly defensive. This lesson isn't necessarily something that you have to learn by direct personal experience, by the way. It is saying this lesson will be put in front of you in one way or another so you can learn by the example.

Hello, Kimberly! I've been following your writings ever since someone mentioned you on the Secret Sun(another one of my favorites)a few months ago.
I appreciate your work & your no-nonsense attitude & put in an account on this page so that I can join in on the commentary.

Should I continue with my journey through the cosmos with my space art?
Pursuit of art in any form or fashion is always a good thing, but could this be worthwhile for me?

Hi there Colleen,

Thanks for your question and thank you for setting up a profile just to comment here! Oddly, my Ogham say No, space art should not be your focus. They give me Ioho, or Grace, ill-dignified. I don't think the Ogham are saying "don't do space art", but I do think they are saying that there are other arts waiting for you to discover them. Since they gave me Ioho, a card of endings and grace, they might be trying to hint at pursuing art that has to do with letting go, the beauty of death, and endings.

I've been in a kind of artistic limbo, like wandering around & trying different things, but not having the time to commit to the detailed portraits of my younger days.
It sounds kind of ominous there at the end, especially in light of what's going on. I'm not afraid of catching the invisible boogie man, just hoping that it's not filtering through from some other part of my life.

Ioho in that position can mean any number of things -- I'm a strange bird who isn't the least bit afraid of death (could be because of Pluto in my first house and Neptune in my third) so when I draw Ioho, I'm happy because it has only positive associations for me. COVID has a less than 1% death rate, so I would not associate it with Ioho unless the querent has trouble and mental blocks when thinking about death and dying.

I haven't been worried about the virus at all, & it's a freaky world being surrounded by people who are. I think that's the future that scares me.
I guess death scares me like it would for many, but it's strange that (besides "I love you") the last words I spoke to my dying Mother were "Don't be scared".
I'll continue to mull this over & think of what it might mean in my life. Sorry I keep dragging it out!
