Ogham Readings on Saturdays

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):

 

-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading

-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices

I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via emails -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline. I cannot answer health questions. If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.

Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break.

My next planned break is from March 13 -- March 19, 2026.

I take reading requests from whenever this post goes up on Friday night until 8pm US Central Time Saturday.

Hi Kimberly,

I’m looking at moving from Canada to the US soon, but have two ideas for how to go about it. One is a quick rip-the-band-aid-off plan, the other is a more measured, careful move, that would require continuing with some unpleasantness here in Canada a little longer. Could I ask your ogham for the pros and cons for each plan?

Hi Anon,

My Ogham give you four cards for this reading.

For the quick, "rip-the-band-aid-off" plan, it's a little worse than the careful plan.

The two cards you drew for the quick plan are Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified and Straif or Resilience well-dignified. The epiphany you are likely to have is that haste makes waste. Anything worth doing is worth doing right, and you are better off paying attention to detail. For the second card regarding the quick plan, Straif, you are going to have to have fall back strategies for things that will inevitably go wrong. If an aspect of the move does not work out, use your advantages to change things up. Be ready to adapt and to field a few curve balls.

For the careful plan, you drew Onn or Community and Ruis or Regret well-dignified. The slow approach enables you to find the right people and to base your decision on a better foundation. If there are two main places in the US that have been in play, my Ogham say the second one is far superior. For the second card, Ruis, it indicates you will be given opportunities to right your wrongs and to say a proper goodbye, or at least a proper goodbye for now. A more measured approach may involve swallowing some pride, but it is far superior than expediting the process.

You drew three cards for next week.

For the You position, you drew Ngetal or Hygiene ill-dignified. This one is a danger card in my Ogham, and since it pertains to health, I suggest prioritizing your physical well-being, staying in and resting if you can, and drinking plenty of warm fluids whether or not you are sick (they warm and soothe the digestive tract, which is the key to all health). Do not take risks and set your boundaries with vigor, especially guarding your time.

For the Situation, you drew Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. Something may happen that you are not ready for. You may have to let go of something that is past its prime. I don't agree with Buddhists that all attachment is terrible, however, you know the woes of attachment this week. It is a good week to mercilessly declutter. You cannot take it with you, but you can and will take the consequences of your gratitude for it (or lack thereof).

For the Outcome, you drew Gort or Perseverance well-dignified. You need to stand back, be more of an observer of your own life, and understand you've done a good job seeing something through. You've also understood what had to come to an end and done some self-correction, and the Ogham are giving you a pat on the back. Try not to be so hard on yourself. Like the rest of us, you are here to learn.

For the You position, you drew Ruis or Regret. There are distinct advantages to having been around the block once or twice. You are able to avert trouble because you spot it far off in the distance. Prevention truly is the best medicine. Worry and guilt are evil twins that want to hog the spotlight. Remember to replace worry with gratitude; I often say to my husband, who is an infamous worrywart, "Gratitude, not worry."

For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense. Tinne is one of my danger cards, even when in good dignity, so be risk-adverse this week and avoid chancy behavior. True defense comes from within -- it is a mixture of self-knowledge and setting reasonable limits. To be over-defended is to be isolated, and to be under-defended is a different type of isolation. Knitting your circle tight is what keeps you safe and sane, and this week is as good an example as they come.

For the Outcome, you drew Mór or Sea. The collective astral is in a good state where you are, and you should be grateful. This "weather" largely is not something you can cause, but indications here show you have brightened your own little corner of the astral and radiate a bubble of protection all around you. Even your local land spirits are glad to have you, and this is their way of letting you know they appreciate you.

Hi P,

1. My Ogham say E will view your request favorably. They give Luis or Protection well-dignified, which means E already feels like your guide and stepping into that role more formally will be organic and natural.

2. They say E is a good fit for you. They give Oir or Epiphany to indicate this. E will help you unlock your potentials, help you to figure out what you are only lukewarm about and where you truly shine, and will be able to help you navigate new grounds.

3. E will be helpful for your career. E is a very good coach and coaching is something E was meant to do in this life. E will help you understand the pitfalls as well as the positives, and this is hugely important, because a coach who does not steer you clear of potential disasters is worthless.

4. You will have to be sensitive about modifying the relationship. They give Saille or Sensitivity ill-dignified, which means the relationship needs to become less personal, at least for this time period, and the personal parts should be carefully partitioned. Meeting in third spaces rather than in either your or E's home would be a good start to keep it professional.

For the You position, they give you Gort or Perseverance well-dignified. Sticking it out is paying off, and you've had to learn to be very patient. Patience is a skill you will take with you well beyond the grave. Be glad you did not give up easily and reflect upon what would be different if you weren't as tenacious and steadfast of a character.

For the Situation, you drew Koad or Confluence well-dignified. Factors converge, some of which you put in place and some that would have happened anyway, and it shows you a snapshot of your life in balance. Put this snapshot away and remember it in times when things are more out of whack, as it will help you regain your footing when that inevitably happens.

For the Outcome, you drew Onn or Community ill-dignified. You could be expecting too much from the world of strangers, casual friends, and co-workers. Someone could be downright rude or out of line; resist the temptation to serve them a helping of their own annoying behavior in kind. It may behoove you to stay in on a busy day when everything is a madhouse anyways.

To review: This past week has been rather sideways. On one hand, I have been keeping to bed due to illness. I learned that there are rolling limits to how much I could send to the farm, something especially problematic as this time of year is tax season on top of having several things also due. Triage had to be done, and let the remaining pieces fall wherever they are.

I had dealings in the past with a problematic coworker who would not take advice, in which the winning move is to cease engagement, and let them sink on their own. Doing taxes with cases more complicated than a simple W2 has left me in an odd pickle, with inaccessible documents needed to complete things.

To ask: What is it that I need to know this week, according to the Ogham?

For the You card, you drew Ailm or Transcendence well-dignified. There are people who fake their transcendence; you don't have to fake anything. Real transcendence does not come from having more money or possessions than the other guy. Instead, it is an inner resilience that does not need to prove anything. Keep in mind the world is in short supply of real transcendence, so keep it up! Just about everybody needs to see it in action.

For the Situation, you drew Ruis or Regret ill-dignified. It's time to let bygones be bygones. No crying over spilled milk, and let go of worry and guilt. Replace them with gratitude. Gratitude as a habit is extremely simple but that does not mean it is easy.

For the Outcome, you drew Beith or Intention well-dignified. You soldier on this week, and I feel your pain on taxes. They are always a mess and considering the nastiness of where our tax money has been funneled, not many are inspired to pay them at the moment. Keep the vision of the season being blissfully over in your mind as a shining beacon to lead you through this darkness. Spirit is on your side.

Excessive worry does not help -- remember the human brain is wired to marinate in the negative as an evolutionary feature (not a bug, a FEATURE) and that we must fight this negative consciousness all the time to become fully realized human beings. A little worry is OK but when it gets you anxious or panicked, it is time to refocus on that which you are grateful for. Simple but not easy.

For the Situation, you drew Koad or Confluence well-dignified. You have put much good in place and you need to slow down and acknowledge your own good works. How can you recognize and award yourself so you are incentivized to keep winning?

For the Outcome, you drew Muin or Harvest ill-dignified. Watch out for rushing conclusions, wanting something to be concluded too hastily, or otherwise jumping the gun. This is a good week to look at something negative you've had to suffer and to try to analyze it from various angles. Whose fault was it, if anyone's? Was there any way of avoiding trouble or was it baked into the cake?

My Ogham give you Nuin or Communication well-dignified for the rest of this month. This is a good month for recognition, and I suggest slowly building what is going to make you recognizable. It is also a good month for understanding and using technology, traveling, and generally reaching out and connecting with the wider world.

For Affirmation F, they give Tinne or Defense well-dignified. This one is protective, strong, and sturdy, and it is clear enough so that it won't be hijacked by trickster spirits.

For Affirmation WW, they are not so keen on it. They give Beith or Intention ill-dignified, meaning that it is either not clear what you mean or that this is not the right intention for you to be focusing upon at this time. It should go back to the drawing board.

For the You card, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. Duir does not truly have a bad side, and even in ill-dignity, it is only a reminder to appreciate your talents and privileges. Giving "too much", as long as it is pure and from the heart, multiplies and comes back to you in exponents.

For the Situation, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. Life and its petty dramas come and go without ruffling your feathers, and the good example is set for the young and impressionable. Grace is demonstrating why we don't sweat the small stuff, why we choose gratitude over worry and blessings over curses.

For the Outcome, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. This is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so be warned. Be proactive about your health -- I recommend zinc supplements to everyone. They come in chewable gummies. Also, warm water and soups should be taken all year. You know how most people wait until they are sick to have soup everyday? Don't do that. Have broth, soup, and tea every day, as they help digestion far more than cold or room temperature liquids. Tinne suggests that you need more defenses (this is why I mention all the strategies above) or that you're a bit overdefended in some areas and not so much in others.
