Ogham Readings on Mondays
Nov. 8th, 2020 10:48 pmSubmit your question or request for a general "what's up this week" reading and I will be happy to oblige!

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills -- but if you want to donate for it, I'll happily buy myself a book, a snack, or a cup of tea while on the town. Please only donate if you can absolutely afford it. I've been there. Your prayers for my continued success are welcome whether you donate or not!

Date: 2020-11-09 08:18 pm (UTC)The first, or the Signifier shows Beith (Birch, beginnings) which indicates one of two imbalances. The first possibility is that you're going in too many directions or in the wrong direction, the second possibility is feeling like the wind has left your sails.
The second, the Situation, is Muin (grapevine, harvest) ill-dignifed. This indicates that it isn't time to "harvest", meaning that there is not an end in sight for your job search at this point or that you could end up with a job that isn't worth celebrating.
The third is the Lesson, or Fearn (Alder, bridge) This one warns that either you're getting bad advice or you're not getting the guidance you need. I think what my Ogham are trying to say here is that you need to do lots of meditation on the role of work in your life and to consider every work scenario, including worst case scenario/scorched earth type stuff. If it's any consolation, I have had to think good and hard about scorched earth because my local economy is in the midst of a severe crash.

Date: 2020-11-09 02:27 pm (UTC)My question is this: Should I study to be a chartered herbalist?
Thank you for your time.

Date: 2020-11-09 03:47 pm (UTC)My only question would be, "What is something the spirits/divine want me to know today?"
Looking rosy
Date: 2020-11-09 08:26 pm (UTC)They say that today will be a day of learning your limits in a good way. They give me Eadha (Quaking aspen) which means Limits and indicates moderation, balance, and good humor.
They give me Saille (Willow) ill-dignified for the Situation, which means someone around you may be projecting an imbalance. They might be either over-sensitive or obtuse and insensitive.
For the Lesson or the Outcome, the Ogham give me Duir (Oak) which means Gifts ill-dignified, which means you are highly likely to either be given or to remember a gift that you should pay forward. As an example from my own life, the last time I drew Duir in the Situation position, I did my best to be extra generous with my time and money that day in order to express gratitude for my privileges. Gratitude sublimates and I notice the more generous I am in casual or everyday matters, the more I am rewarded in natural good cheer and strength when the going gets rough.

Date: 2020-11-10 06:58 pm (UTC)I did a three-card reading for you on this one:
1) Were your concerns justified?
They say No. They give me Gort, which is Ivy or Perseverance, ill-dignified. This means that there are one of two imbalances: either you're not hanging on hard enough and giving up on something because the fight is too much (think of a single strand of ivy clinging onto a rock, fighting for survival) or you are monopolizing the board and choking out someone else (think of a colony of ivy toppling a structural wall).
2. Were you overreacting? They say Yes. The card they give me is Eadha, which means Limits, and since you asked an extremely direct question, they are giving you a direct answer that you were out of bounds.
3. What is the lesson to be learned from all of this? They give me Luis, which in my system is the Maple. It means guidance or mentorship, often from one's higher self or from a god/gods. They are saying you should do lots of discursive meditation on it and ask the gods for help understanding what happened, maybe do some planetary charity too (it does not have to involve money)
