Ogham Readings on Saturdays
Nov. 21st, 2025 08:15 pm
I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):
-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading
-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices
I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via emails -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline. I cannot answer health questions. If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.
Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break.
My next planned break is from December 18 - January 8.

Date: 2025-11-22 12:33 pm (UTC)I am wondering whether I should take Option T or Option L. What do the Ogham have to say about them?

Date: 2025-11-22 04:26 pm (UTC)To review: Ngetal was quite interesting this past week, as I have accumulated a number of injuries all on the right side of my body.
This plays into Oir, one of the injuries resulted from tripping on too many clothes piled up unworn. While grateful to have received these as gifts, they clash with my policy of wearing out and using up my existing clothes (which granted are getting rather holey).
With Koad, things have finally enjoined together to finish repairing several cameras that have been piling up on the to do list this year. Got two done right away, with parts for the third on their way.
To ask: What is it that I need to know this week, according to the Ogham?

Date: 2025-11-22 06:53 pm (UTC)Your previous post was intriguing. This week I went down a rabbit hole, inspired by an acupuncturist, to eventually consider getting a mini-face lift. After thinking that I might be taking it too far I decided to start with a natural skin care facial (first one in twenty years). During the facial I came to my senses and wondered what the heck I had been thinking. I cannot bear to sit still for as long as the facial took and it stung my eyes despite being all natural. For a fleeting moment I lost my gratitude for a healthy body and mind and was sucked in to the nonsense that surrounds me. I am back on stable ground and will not be considering any surgical procedures. My thoughts on the matter were on the same day you published your Substack (which I did not see until yesterday). The point of me telling you this is that my week was sort of yucky as predicted. It took great effort to stay positive and stay in gratitude, but I pulled through! I have always made a habit of making gratitude lists, this week I doubled down and will keep that habit.
I am wondering what this week has in store for me? My hopes are that it will be slightly lighter that the previous week.
Thank you for your insight and congratulations on your writing. I have not been on Substack for quite some time (I had to quit as it was dragging me down rabbit holes that were not healthy). I was happy to see that you have a good audience
Best,
Rooby

Date: 2025-11-23 02:38 am (UTC)You drew three cards this week.
For the You card, you drew Saille or Sensitivity ill-dignified. This card can be quite straightforward: you are oversensitive, meaning that you may tend to overreact or become overly defensive or afraid and prone to lashing out. It can also indicate etheric starvation, which after all is the commonest condition of our time. Put a buffer zone of silence before you speak this week and give yourself the chance to think things through.
For the Situation, you drew Koad or Confluence well-dignified. Despite Saille being out of whack, there are good moments and possibly good opportunities this week. Some of this is pure luck, surroundings, fate, and all that, and some of it is good decisions you put in place in the past. Try to figure out how you set yourself up for success so you can repeat it in the future.
For the Outcome, you drew Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified. This could mean you are the recipient of great generosity, so make sure you acknowledge it and spend time in humble gratitude for it. It could also be talking about you being more generous than you can technically afford to be, and if it comes from the heart, it will return to you by the power of seven . . . or more.

Date: 2025-11-23 02:40 am (UTC)For T, they give Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified, which means that T is essentially foolish and packs a negative wallop. For L, they give Duir or Gifts well-dignified, indicating a spillage of warmth and generosity.

Date: 2025-11-23 02:57 am (UTC)My Ogham give you three cards.
For the You card, meaning how you should reflect on M's situation, they give Koad or Confluence well-dignified. You need to look at how much of M's issues are self-caused, but this does not mean you should say anything or utter any pronouncements. This is simply fodder for meditation. Everyone who has problems (and we all have problems) is partially the cause and partially the victim. Look deeply into when you've either experienced or seen the same flavor of problems yourself. You will need the insights.
For the Situation, you drew Huath or Obstacles well-dignified. M is being tested. If M acts according to the way his or her Holy Guardian Angel wants her to act, this will be a defining personal triumph of M's life. It will not be easy. As hard as it is to sit and watch, you have to give M space to do this on his or her own. The number one way you can help is to tell M that he or she needs to find something and express gratitude for it every day, no matter how small, especially in times of extreme darkness. Only by building small gratitudes can we gather the strength to overcome terrible obstacles.
For the Outcome, you drew Luis or Protection ill-dignified. You are used to putting yourself last and you cannot do that anymore. You have to save yourself before you can help anyone else. When you are consumed with worry, do what M should be doing and focus on a small gratitude. Collect all the gratitudes like an obsessed 11 year old collects Pokemon. Literally replace worried thoughts with grateful ones right as they pop up. Lead by example.

Date: 2025-11-23 03:15 am (UTC)Thanks for the feedback!
You drew three cards this week.
For the You position, you drew Coll or Wisdom ill-dignified. What we do not know CAN hurt us, and that is why you need to do all the homework and not jump into anything ill-informed. Of course it is never possible to know it all, but you can at least try. This card is always a warning to keep your mouth closed, whether it is in observation or to tell someone of a decision you've made. It can wait.
For the Situation, you drew Ngetal or Health well-dignified. Ngetal is always a danger card in my Ogham no matter what the dignity, so be hypervigilant about your health and do what you need to do to avoid illness and stay well. Other than that, it talks about having a thick skin and good boundaries, and despite those boundaries being pushed, you hold firm.
For the Outcome, you drew Saille or Sensitivity well-dignified. Gratitude begets communication, and those who can speak to their ecosystems are one and the same with those who are grateful for everything in those ecosystems, including the pests who test their strength.

Date: 2025-11-23 03:28 am (UTC)Thanks and blessings on you too!
You drew three cards this week.
For the You card, you drew Ruis or Regret well-dignified. The benefits of having been around the block once or twice make themselves very apparent when it comes to both perspective upon mistakes and avoiding new ones. That said, some lessons can only be learned the hard way.
For the Situation, you drew Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified. There may be a realization that you or someone you love is avoiding. We are often our own worst enemies when it comes to De Nile not just being a river in Egypt. Epiphanies can only be self-realized, so if this is someone else's avoided epiphany, remember you have to give that person the grace to make his or her own mistakes.
For the Outcome, you drew Koad or Confluence well-dignified. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the fruits of both good fortune and that which you have made for yourself. It's OK to pat yourself on the back every now and then or get yourself a special treat. I always think it is kind of funny when I say "North, South, East, West, may all who brought this food be blessed" on a meal I both purchased/grew ingredients for and made. Partially, I bless myself LOL.

Date: 2025-11-23 03:43 am (UTC)Thank you so much! It's absolutely bizarre how many views my "Chopped" essay has garnered. It's almost at 10,000 when my average is somewhere around 300 to 400. I am so glad it may have deterred you from getting a facelift; to my mind it is such a violent procedure. That trauma does not disappear, and I believe it sits in the bodymind, waiting to morph into new and terrible shapes. Next week (in a few days) I plan on writing a second essay focusing on people who have chosen to age more gracefully than the chopped.
You drew three cards this week, all of which were well-dignified. As much as I would like to forecast nothing but sunshine, all well-dig weeks can be doozies too, but they are more prone to be used as self-development and realization.
For the You card, you drew Phagos or Teaching. You have realized that what you don't know can hurt you, and now you know how to do your homework. One of the many benefits of aging and being aged, that's what I say. This is a good opportunity to spread your hard-earned wisdom and gently guide those who need it and are also willing to listen.
For the Situation, you drew Gort or Perseverance. Another benefit of age is that you are now more chill. Blessed are the ones who do not get excited unless the situation truly merits it! You have the big picture in mind. This too shall pass.
For the Outcome, you drew Quert or Delight. Symbolized by the apple tree, Quert is one of the loveliest and most restoring cards of the Ogham. It also means celebration. When you are happy for the little things (that EVERYONE takes for granted these days) they start thanking you back. Everyone dismisses the spirit of place but that is one of the biggest luck-bringers of all time. If you are thankful for various places, including but not limited to the roof over your head, they will bless you back. Many of them have tremendous power and far more influence over human affairs than anyone realizes.

Date: 2025-11-23 03:53 am (UTC)You drew three cards, all were ill-dignified. As much as an all ill-dig reading may appear as a portent of doom, I have never once seen this to be the case in reading for myself, and that is of course how I started reading Ogham. Mostly the Ogham are trying to warn you of specific imbalances so you can head them off at the pass. Let's get into it.
For the You card, you drew Tinne or Defense. Right out of the gate, Tinne is one of my danger cards, so be extra wary and don't do anything chancy. Other than that, it talks about either being overdefensive and ironically missing the truly apparent dangers or not caring enough and risking stupidity and danger, i.e. climbing the sketchy ladder without proper support, getting involved with an icky person's drama.
For the Situation, you drew Coll or Wisdom. Coll is weird in that it can be two things at once: not knowing enough and being a fool, or knowing too much and not using it in a constructive way. In the first case, it's fine to be humble about being a retard -- I am a retard, you are a retard, and we are all retards -- but don't wallow in it and stop aspiring not to be retarded. Knowing too much is a symptom of living in your own head or in a more crude vernacular, being up your own ass. Get outside, talk to trees, work with your hands, and earth it out.
For the Outcome, you drew Duir or Gifts. There is no truly bad aspect to Duir even in a bad dignity. All it means in the worst case scenario is that you are not grateful enough for the goodness in your life and you need to spend more time on that. Duir can also indicate you being generous to a fault this week and that energy returning to you in exponents. Let's hope it is the second one.

Date: 2025-11-23 04:00 am (UTC)For the You card, you drew Saille or Sensitivity well-dignified. You have a thick skin, but it is not so thick that you have become obtuse and ignorant. This is a good week to start conversations with the spirits of place, including objects, flora, fauna, and various elements such as air, water, and fire. It is also a good week to get rid of material things that no longer serve or that have outgrown their usefulness.
For the Situation, you drew Huath or Obstacles well-dignified. Huath is one of my Ogham's danger card, so I utter my usual warning to be extra risk adverse and not to do anything huge or risky. Since this is Situation, Huath may also be talking about a loved one of yours. Other than that, it talks about bringing too much Mars energy to the table or too little. If it is too much, be prepared to chill unless decisive action is absolutely required. If it is too little, expect that your get up and go got up and went. Do what you can to work through the slump.
For the Outcome, you drew Nuin or Communication ill-dignified. Obviously, failures to get messages across are to be expected. Sometimes there is no meeting in the middle and you have to live with a difference of opinion. Nuin in this dignity can also indicate machines behaving badly and unreliably, or purchases being more pain than they are worth.

Date: 2025-11-23 04:08 am (UTC)You drew three cards. All are well-dignified.
For the You card, you drew Muin or Harvest. Well, Muin in this dignity is a wonderful card to draw for Thanksgiving. A well-deserved break is upon you: relax, kick back, and enjoy as much as possible. Remember moderation is the best way of appreciating abundance and modeling to impressional others how to appreciate the beautiful gifts that God gives us -- balance is delight.
For the Situation, you drew Ioho or Grace. Grace is symbolized by the stately, austere yew. It is Saturnian. For anything new to be born, the old must give way and die. Death, however, is only ugly to those who misunderstand it and fear it. Death is a beginning as much as it is an end. On a more pragmatic level, watch for the influence and messages of deceased loved ones and friends this week. The veil is thin.
For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience. Limits are powerful if you are willing to work within them. Blessed are those who appreciate what they have. We are luckier when we don't get every little thing we have ever wanted. Straif is also a lesson: Flexibility is great but it should only ever go so far: be firm without breaking.
