Ogham Readings on Saturdays

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):

-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading

-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices

I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via emails -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline. I cannot answer health questions. If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.

Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break.

My next planned break is from October 23 - November 6.

I take reading requests from whenever this post goes up on Friday night until 8pm US Central Time Saturday.

Feedback about last week's reading and new reading

Patrick here. Your reading last week was accurate. At the beginning of the week, I realized I was low on money and cut off meals at Waffle House after work for cheap gas station easy eggs or a lunchmeat sandwich at home. Then I dropped my phone and it smashed and I hastily got a cheap phone with the wrong service provider. A couple days later, I got into a minor traffic accident due to my own poor judgement. Later that day, I barely avoided hitting two deer (I wonder if I would have hit one of them if I had not been keeping up a daily practice and didn't pray after nearly hitting the first one.)

I suspected some kind of Mars transit, as your reading had suggested, so I looked at my chart and Saturn was applying to an opposition with my natal eighth house Mars apparently affecting my judgement and the judgement of the deer. I'll have to be cautious when Saturn (currently in retrograde) applies to the opposition again in a couple months.

This week, instead of a weekly reading? I would like to take advantage of the pleasant October temperatures and perform an Lesser Summoning Ritual of the Pentagram in the woods instead of indoors. My own divination suggested it was a good idea, but I'd like to have an opinion from a more experienced diviner.

For the Lesser Summoning Ritual of the Pentagram, they say No. They give Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified. For the Lesser BANISHING Ritual of the Pentagram, they say Yes. They give Ailm or Transcendence well-dignified, which is to say it will get the job done and clear out some of that bad energy.

Thank you. Would a banishing ritual done in the woods be more effective than doing one indoors? I suspect that natural surroundings, especially the earth beneath my feet would conduct negative energies away from me more efficiently than an artificial environment.

Hi Patrick,

Yes and no. If you are comfortable outdoors, then it will work out just fine. I have done some extremely powerful banishing rituals outdoors. That said, it really doesn't matter what ground your feet are on. Spirit seems to treat vinyl flooring the same as a sandy beach.

About a month ago I asked about a possible romantic partner*. You gave Luis or Protection ill-dignified, and said there would be issues. I chose to wait and see rather than pursue it, and now think I dodged a bullet: she has mentioned using quite a few different drugs, and I don't like anything stronger than caffeine. Our chemistry aside, we would not be suited for each other, to put it mildly!

I have since met someone else who I hit things off with in a way I've never before, and so I am seriously considering pursuing this possibility now. Doing so would, given we live in different parts of the world, likely require some pretty significant effort, so I'm curious how your ogham feel about her as a possible partner for me.

Hi Anon, thanks for the feedback! Wow, I am glad the Ogham helped you avoid a potential mismatch. I myself am mostly straightedge and I could not be with someone who depended on drugs, prescription or otherwise.

My Ogham generally like this new one. They give you three cards.

For the You position, they provide Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. This is a pretty radical choice because it will most likely require you to instigate some radical changes. For anything new to be born, something old must die and give way. You will have to give up a great deal of your life. My Ogham also warn against rushing this -- you will need time to meditate on all that is going on, several outside opinions, and a great deal of research before making this decision.

For the Situation, you drew Mór or Sea Change well-dignified. This person seems to be intertwined with fate itself -- there was no avoiding this meeting. I don't believe in the twin flame stuff, so I won't go there, but my Ogham seem to think you have a destiny together.

For the Outcome, you drew Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. This relationship has long term potential written all over it. The Ogham say this may be someone you can trust and someone who will not pull up stakes when the going gets tough. You two seem well-matched.

Overall, the reading says go for it, but do not rush into anything.

For the You position, you drew Tinne or Defense well-dignified. Tinne is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so I utter my usual warning about staying risk adverse. You are recognizing real dangers (the spiritual ones) instead of falling for the propaganda campaigns and following the sheeple. Your discernment allows you to see what is fake and what is real.

For the Situation, you drew Onn or Community ill-dignified. You may have to say a hard No to someone trying to obtain your cooperation. Alternately, you may be asking or expecting too much of your community and may have to lower your expectations. It is frustrating to see others falling into niches when you are still searching for yours. I have definitely been there.

For the Outcome, you drew Ngetal or Health ill-dignified. This is yet another one of my Ogham's danger cards, so be very risk adverse, take extra zinc plus a good multivitamin to ward off the latest flus, and do whatever you must to guard and protect your health.

Fun fact: most of the women that I asked you about a few years ago have moved on. Only two or three of the original bunch remain. Distant but polite and professional.

I have my eye on a couple of new hires: Q and T. What do your Ogham think about each? Are they even interested in me? I suspect T might be too young for me. When I first saw Q, she appeared to be older (late 20s? Early or mid 30s?), but I saw her from a distance using my first bifocals... I'm officially old now, by the way. Lol

My Ogham say that Q might be a possibility. For Q they give Oír or Epiphany well-dignified, which means Q is very bright and has a strong personality. She has tremendous insights and is very unique. They hint that she might be involved with someone though.

For T, they give Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified, and that means T is or should not even an option, so she is not worth thinking about in a romantic sense.

To review: Huath expressed itself in the form of a bunched up schedule, where things could have been spaced out better, a dearth of activity some days, the others a pile of activities procrastinated and done all in one slug.

Mor came in to float all of the boatloads of activities by coincidence of people's happenstance synchronization lining up.

Phagos was advisory in how I approached said activities.

For the You position, you drew Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified. There are weeks when no amount of positive thinking can overcome the circumstances; this may be one of those weeks. Be ready to accept the situations as they are, warts and all, without sugarcoating anything. It could also just be one of those weeks where your get up and go got up and went.

For the Situation, you drew Nuin or Communication well-dignified. You are a straight shooter, getting your point across without pretense. You are able to glean the best amounts of understanding without involving your emotions, and those who misunderstand that as coldness are not seeing the whole picture.

For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience ill-dignified. I often get this card when money is strained or a sudden expense hits me hard. Other than that, it can be talking about going too hard when it comes to home maintenance or other forms of pragmatic investment -- know when to relax.

Hi Anon,

Yes, they say this is right. They give Tinne or Defense well-dignified. You are still very much in the phase of getting to know yourself, and bringing a child into that would disrupt the process too much at this point. This could change but right now, it is what it is. If it never changes, keep in mind you will have plenty of other lifetimes to have children... or not have them!

For the You card, you drew Mór or Sea Change well-dignified. Through no doing of your own, your general corner of the collective astral is fairly hygienic. Take advantage of this rare spot of clarity by looking at the large arcs of your life from a wide perspective, investigating major changes, and considering large purchases.

For the Situation, you drew Gort or Perseverance well-dignified. The Divine loves humility and diligence, and you have got both, though sometimes they are both difficult to evoke from oneself 24/7. It is OK to relax a bit, rest on your laurels, and reflect on the good and bad you have been through.

For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience ill-dignified. Don't believe everything you hear or see about those whom you are told are doing "better" than you and yours. There is a great deal of fakery out there and many people who hope to gain via the appearance of a "perfect" life. Interesting... My Ogham generally like it.

For the You card, they give Coll or Wisdom ill-dignified, meaning that the gun club may have some members who are super full of themselves and consider themselves the modern Annie Oakley or that there is political infighting or other bitchery you have to watch out for.

For the Situation, they give Koad or Confluence well-dignified. You are at the point in your life where you could benefit from this club, at least for the current moment. Factors have aligned to make this a net win for you.

For the Outcome, they provide Nuin or Communication well-dignified. This gun club may be an opportunity in unforeseen ways because of the connections you will make and because this enhances your involvement in something you are very good at doing.

Hi Kimberly, since you'll be away a while could you do a reading for my month of November? Almost everything I'd scheduled with other people got canceled or delayed but I expected it and I also ended up making some good connections apart from all the flakes. It felt like I was able to push through the bad luck to achieve my most important community-related goals.

Huath is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so I issue my usual warning about being risk adverse, including being careful about physical risks and illness. Other than that, this talks about balance of mojo or Martial force, about knowing when to conform and when to stick out, and about choosing good over evil even when the entire herd is against you.

For the Situation, you drew Uilleand or Generosity well-dignified. You open your heart, but you are not so unwise to let the whole world stampede in, and that is how it should be. You are realizing that the truly generous never need for anything -- the gods will always provide necessary wealth to the truly generous, and the dark side of that is that ungenerous people will always feel like they are starving in some fundamental way because abundance is all in the mind.

Quert is symbolized by the Apple and there could be a rotten one in the bunch; root out entitlement, overconsumption, and unhealthy competition.
