Ogham Readings on Saturdays

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):
-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading
-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices
I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via email -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline. I cannot answer health questions. If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.
Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break.
My next planned break is from Saturday, March 22, 2025 - Friday, March 28, 2025.

Date: 2025-01-11 09:59 pm (UTC)You drew three cards this week. All were well-dignified. Be warned that an all well-dignified reading almost never indicates a cakewalk. It does point to you being your best self when faced with the tests of Meatworld. The only guarantee in Meatworld is that it sucks.
For the You position, you drew Onn or Community. People who aren't family end up being closer than blood relations (or what we idealize as a blood relationship). They do more for you, you do more for them, and there is respect and kindness. The Ogham remind you that it is never too early or too late to say Thank You. It is always appreciated.
For the Situation, you drew Mór or Sea. Generally it is a lucky week and there is clarity about past and future that isn't always present. This is a good week to think big, to hash out major decisions, and to look at overarching patterns so you can determine where you are going versus where you want to go.
For the Outcome, you drew Uilleand or Generosity. The outflow of generosity seems to be more heavily considered by those tasked with watching us when we are not of great means. The Buddhists have a story about a woman who gave the clothes off her back to the Buddha because she was too poor to give anything else. The Buddha immediately rewarded her above everyone because she gave far more than she could afford. It's really important not to take a story like that literally, though, because just giving to some cause because a random charity claims it is legit isn't good enough. In essence, the Buddha story is about giving what you have (this is likely not your money) to God because you recognize a divine power; it's about the woman having a close relationship with the Divine.

Date: 2025-01-11 02:35 pm (UTC)Your essays over the past month have been fantastic! I have really enjoyed reading your perspective on current events.
What do your Ogham think about the following options for my family:
1) Living in A;
2) Living in B; or
3) Living in S.
With thanks and blessings, Heloise

Date: 2025-01-11 10:08 pm (UTC)Thank you so much! I appreciate the compliment.
My Ogham like A and B better than S.
For A they provide Muin or Harvest well-dignified. A has the most fulfilling array of activities and is likely the best for employment and employment opportunities. There is money luck that goes with A as Muin is a fairly direct Ogham that can indicate financial and material gain.
For B they give Tinne or Defense well-dignified. B is the safest option, with more bases being covered when it comes to avoiding criminals and bad influences. This may seem counterintuitive, because areas with mediocre schools or a moderate amount of crime can be safer in their own way than Land of Perfect suburbs, where crimes happen quietly.
For S, my Ogham do not like it at all. They give Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified, which indicates that it is dangerous and unsustainable. There is an imbalance of force that makes S the worst choice of the three.

Date: 2025-01-11 10:22 pm (UTC)Yes, I was chuckling over some funny videos people made about southern states getting snow! Yikes -- all I can say is stay off the roads.
You drew three cards.
For the You card, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. Your main strength this week is your willingness to let go of that which was not meant for you or that which has passed its prime. This is never easy and it takes inner discipline. You may be tempted to cling or to prolong. Let it go and remember you are making room for something new and good that would not be able to come if you were to hold on to the old.
For the Situation, you drew Oír or Epiphany well-dignified. There may be a realization that you or someone in your inner circle is avoiding. If it is you, take some time to examine what this could be in discursive meditation. If it is someone else, the refusal to realize might serve to explain why they are being difficult or running into the same problem over and over again. Remember it's not your job to do their inner work for them. The only person you need to worry about in that aspect is yourself.
For the Outcome, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. There isn't a true bad side to Duir because it is a good card through and through. At its worst, Duir ill-dignified might indicate resting a bit too heavily upon your laurels or some buffoon attempting to privilege-shame you. Usually when we see Duir ill-dig, it signifies you giving more than you could afford, and this is never limited to money. Duir could be re-titled Sharing, and not just in the Show & Tell, "Look what I can do!" sense.

Date: 2025-01-11 06:30 pm (UTC)1. Is there anything I should know to make the best of this coming week? Two cards will do.
2. How can I mitigate the effects of X on me over the long term? Being more present helps a great ton, for one.
3. What is the most powerful means, in terms of specific actions, I can practice at this time to express gratitude?

Date: 2025-01-11 10:48 pm (UTC)Your two cards for this week are Duir or Gifts ill-dignified and Muin or Harvest well-dignified.
Duir is a good card no matter what the dignity. When ill-dignified, the worst it can possibly get is that you are relying upon your natural or existing gifts and not putting in the work or practice you need to get better at what you are already good at. It can also indicate that you are so exceedingly generous that you are going to see some exponential returns (usually non-material) as that spirit of giving reverberates through your life.
For the Outcome, you drew Muin or Harvest well-dignified. Typically this means it isn't a bad finance week. You are realizing at least some of the benefits of seeds you sowed. This is a good week to do some moderate celebrating. Living in the moment often means that a celebration is in order -- you don't have to go overboard. A little treat will go a long way.
For mitigating the effects of X, they give you Uilleand or Generosity well-dignified. When you want to diminish the effects of something, hating it is actually not a good strategy because hate is a form of love. Hate is passionate involvement, just like love. Instead, becoming very unlike what you despise is what Dion Fortune would advise. As an example from my own life, I cut and cleared a now ex-friend whom I believe does not know how to be grateful. If I were to become an ingrate, I might as well have stayed friends. Instead, I am so grateful on a daily basis it is likely my ex-friend would not be able to stand me if we hung out, so it is just as well that we are no longer friends.
For the most powerful means of expressing gratitude, the Ogham give Eadha or Limits ill-dignified, which means that you should meditate on the comparative limitlessness of gratitude compared with other natural forces. The Meatworld illusion itself can be manipulated via gratitude. I believe that the past can be altered as well as the future; it is quite spooky.

Date: 2025-01-12 12:30 am (UTC)This week may present some challenges: all three cards were ill-dignified. Keep in mind I have had some of the best days of my life on all ill-dig readings -- consider this a warning to be diligent in all the areas the Ogham presents as potentials for imbalance.
For the You card, you drew Ioho or Grace. You might be very burnt out from overwork, and that includes housework or having to deal with the emotions of others. Another possibility is the kind of inertia where you feel like you don't want to get out of bed. Achieving a middle ground of "just diligent enough" is your main challenge. Also watch for things you are clinging to that aren't going to happen.
For the Situation, you drew Beith or Intention. You may be going too many directions at once or going in the wrong direction. It is crucial to examine your own motives and to be merciless about pruning away the nonsense that obfuscates the truth of what you are doing and what you want to do.
For the Outcome, you drew Saille or Sensitivity. It is time to prune away that which is not in your best interest. Sometimes, this can be a fairly mild action, for instance, getting rid of clutter or giving away the supplies for a hobby you'll never get around to doing. It could also be more serious, like letting go of the attachment to a toxic friend or changing a deeply-ingrained habit. Either way, decisive action is where it is at. The Ogham say it won't be easy, hence the ill-dignity, but you can be certain it will be worth it.
Hi Kimberly
Date: 2025-01-11 09:59 pm (UTC)Feeling a bit silly for asking this, but to be fair the background is related to other 'strange' things happening and odd coincidences with timings and a fox that we've started to give a bit of food randomly...not sure what to make of it...but more than anything feeling like I'm too thick to comprehend whatever message I'm supposed to get...I've thought about his and i wonder if this has anything to do with Hermes or another God...or maybe even my protection talisman? not sure
Many thanks,
J
Re: Hi Kimberly
Date: 2025-01-12 12:43 am (UTC)I asked if this was a "good" coincidence and they said No. They gave Onn or Community ill-dignified, which is to say the fox is an outsider and not a friendly one. Basically they say you need to leave the fox alone as much as possible. This will not be construed as neglect by your spirit guides.
I then asked if the fox was a messenger of Hermes or another god, or your talisman, and they said No. They gave Coll or Wisdom ill-dignified, which means that this particular animal is either just a random fox or that he or she is the fox equivalent of a jerk. If it is any consolation, there is a beautiful cat who visits my yard. Before my feral cat Miss Piggy was fixed, he sired a kitten or two on her and he returned one night and killed his own kitten and nearly took out Miss Piggy and her son Shadow. I took Shadow to live inside my house. Since then, I have called him Abraham or Abe for short because he killed his own son. Abe comes around every couple of days to drink water at the communal bowl (heated in winter so it doesn't freeze) and I don't shoo him away. Nevertheless, he will never be part of my colony.
For the third card, I asked if you should put forward any more effort towards this fox and they said No, just leave him or her be. They gave Duir or Gifts ill-dignified, which tells me you are generous to the animals and the local ecosystem. Just keep doing what you are doing and the fox will go with the flow.

Date: 2025-01-12 12:52 am (UTC)My Ogham give you three cards in regards to your coming employment. For the You position, they provide Mór or Sea well-dignified. You've chosen the right job as much as any work can be chosen. The environment and culture of this job is as good as it possibly can be at the moment. Unfortunately, there is no company loyalty anymore, meaning companies are not loyal at all to their long-term employees, so you have to navigate that with a realistic eye. Always question whether or not you need to give it your all, because most companies will use and abuse you with no reward for your sacrifice.
For the Situation, you drew Beith or Intention well-dignified. You are lucky to have a group around you that is fairly honest and earnest. Of course there are the usual pit vipers as there are in any company but you have an abnormal number of good, solid people. You have to do your best with the few true allies you have.
For the Outcome, you drew Coll or Wisdom ill-dignified. You find not knowing what will happen especially tortuous. There is important knowledge that is being kept from you and you have no way of ferreting it out. You have to make peace with not knowing.

Date: 2025-01-12 02:58 am (UTC)You and the family drew three cards this week.
For the You position, you drew Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified. Spilling all the beans and telling someone EXACTLY how you feel is often a strategy for alienation despite it being billed as a way of getting closer. It is absolutely essential to curate what is said and what is unsaid, and a close relationship does not offer an exception to the rule. To be considerate is to omit information. Honesty about some larger matters is great but in smaller details and in daily life, it is highly overrated.
For the Situation, you drew Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. There could be worry about a bad teacher or authority figure, the need to deal with a fool or someone acting foolish, or a frustration about lack of knowledge. The important part is not to let frustration be a master -- put it in its place and don't allow it to spill where it does not belong.
For the Outcome, you drew Oír or Epiphany well-dignified. A realization comes that needs to happen. Though this is well-dignified, the realization itself might be painful. The truth hurts. This is a good week to look at past epiphanies to recollect your own reactions and how and if that information affected those around you. In my own case, I can remember some doozies that hurt at the time but were very much for the best as I went on with my life.
