Ogham Readings on Sundays

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night.  Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):

 

-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading

-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices

 

Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.

Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break.

Hi Neb,

Sorry I could not get to this before Sunday came and went. I was sick this week, bad enough to take time off work, and everything fell behind. I will read for your week though.

You drew three cards. For the You position, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. There is no truly bad aspect to Duir, which is symbolized by the mighty Oak. The only negative it might imply is the need to appreciate your privileges more than you are doing. Duir can be talking about you being the recipient of many gifts or you being exceedingly generous.

For the Situation you drew Saille or Sensitivity well-dignified. This points to sticky situations arising and you being able to manage them with clarity, deftness, and tact. This is you shining as your real, genuine self when others cover up their insecurities with lies and bluster. It's always better to take the genuine/authentic road.

For the Outcome, you drew Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. This card shows harmony in close relationships and the ability to keep secrets. It is also a card of editing your information and tailoring your personality in a sensitive way that befits Saille, your Situation. Watch out for the temptation to speak too much of your mind and keep your mouth shut when you have the opportunity to put your foot in it.

Muin ill-dig did refer to a bad situation I've reaped, but I've found it carries one additional meaning: I botch interpreting a divination. This can be from overthinking a reading, or just getting my wires crossed and getting a meaning that isn't at all what the reading indicates - but in any case, it's misinterpretation. I think that's a new meaning of Muin for you, so hope it helps!

Luis well-dig was me avoiding danger for the most part. As for acting according to my Highest Self - I'm human, it was a mixed bag on that front. I did give a necessary apology to someone, though.

Onn ill-dig refers to problems in my community I believe I may have to work around rather than directly with at this time. It's a limiting situation - but that means you do your best to work within your limits.

My Ogham say Yes, your conjuration of B was successful: B was present and accounted for. You got Onn or Community well-dignified, which is to say your sources are accurate and the sense of your ecosystem was on target.

For "Will B fulfill my petitions?" The Ogham say Yes, and they give Muin or Harvest well-dignified. This means as long as you put in the work B wants you to do and stay diligent on your side, B is not the kind to renege on a deal.

For how to best ensure the relationship is fulfilling and honest, they give you Beith or Intention ill-dignified, meaning that if you see it as a relationship, it will work out just fine, but if you treat B like a vending machine in any way, you'll land in hot water. They are hinting that you've had a relationship with B in the past, and perhaps in a past life.

For the You position, you drew Koad or Confluence ill-dignified. It's important not to try and force any outcomes in June. If you find yourself in a situation that turns crappy or if factors conspire to rain on your parade, it's OK to bail or at the very least, reschedule.

For the Situation, you drew Uilleand or Generosity well-dignified. The generosity you are cultivating within yourself has a chance to grow and flourish, and it could be other people's generosity bringing that out or it could just be you. It's a golden opportunity to view how generosity transforms the character by sublimation. Unfortunately, parsimoniousness, greed, and excessive thrift do the same thing in reverse.

For the Outcome, you drew Oir or Epiphany well-dignified. This is a month of inner growth for you if you're up to the challenge. Oir can be fairly painful -- it points to needed realizations and wake up calls -- but whether it is ill- or well-dignified, it is always for the best.

I started working with Mercury/Hermes last month. I’ve seen his handiwork over the past to months in my life, but I’d like to ask if there is anything I should know from him or do for him which I don’t know of at this time. Or maybe an update on where the relationship stands.

He gives you Saille or Sensitivity to meditate upon well-dignified. For one, this is an affirmative answer saying that he has been around, but it also points to Aphrodite's influence as this is her calling card in my Ogham. Saille is symbolized by the Willow tree or Salix alba. Willow has great flexibility and is a colonizer tree. They can grow anywhere but they love wet areas the best. Willows are graceful, flexible, and their bark is such an effective painkiller that early aspirin was essentially a copy of the active ingredient in Willow, salicylic acid.

Good afternoon Kimberly,

To review: I have been waiting for Oir to drop throughout the week, and when it did, it arrived in three parts. Two of them are the usual churn that occur in farm country, well hedged occurrences. The third was definitely something I was ignoring, a project slowly stewing for the last month and a half that has suddenly concluded, and promptly presented the bill. As shocking as the bill came, it is countered by a slush pile of money I have also been ignoring as it accumulated, and these funds dovetailed with that expense.

To ask: What is it that I need to know this week, according to the Ogham?

The Ogham have a rosy forecast for you this week: all three cards were well-dignified. Though this does not guarantee a drama-free week, it indicates your responses to this week's challenges will be mature and clever.

For the You card, you drew Straif or Resilience. You have built up enough strength to slalom around troubles. You are called upon to be flexible and you respond with balance and sanity.

For the Situation, you drew Ur or Intimacy. Close relationships are your forte this week, and you give them the attention they deserve. The very presence of this card often warns that you'll need to exercise tact in both your presentation and words with others.

For the Outcome, you drew Uilleand or Generosity. This week offers a glimpse behind the scenes of a generous spirit: a generous spirit always has enough no matter what the financial situation/amount of Meatworld debt happens to be. Likewise, parsimony's consequence is to be skimped upon and shorted, if not in the immediate future, in the far future, and I would argue that delaying it into the far future is much worse.

My Ogham don't care for it -- they give Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. This means the outcome is uncertain: maybe you get it, maybe you don't, but either way, it may be a waste of time for you when you could be putting your valuable energy elsewhere. My Ogham suggest you meditate upon it a few times more before you decide your direction.

For the You card, you got Ailm or Transcendence well-dignified. This week has you taking the high road and listening to your better self. You are highly likely not to return snark, gossip, and b.s. in kind. Basically the Ogham pat you on the back for acting like a grown up... it's pretty rare nowadays!

For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. This can be a danger card in my Ogham, so it is suggested that you stay alert this week, not only for yourself but for loved ones. Other than that, it points out the hard lesson that security in Meatworld is an illusion, even for people who are "better off" than we are.

This flow of generosity makes your life shine brightly and draws you closer to the subtle and the spiritual. It is a good week to acknowledge and credit your own generosity while being thankful for the gifts and generosity of others. It's never too late to say Thank You.

The Ogham forecast a decent week for you: all three cards are well-dignified. That said, an all well-dig reading is not a guarantee of a smooth week, but more of a prediction that you will make the absolute best of all situations with which you are presented.

For the You card, you drew Saille or Sensitivity. You are gaining some subtle senses. This can be extremely practical in helping you read situations, people, and crowds in a timely matter. It also gifts you with tact and grace, especially when navigating emotional waters. This is the week to listen to your gut, because your gut is very likely to be right.

For the Situation, you got Muin or Harvest. You are seeing the fruits of your honest labor. It's OK to rest upon your laurels and celebrate a bit. Your investments and intentions have been logical and forthright. You've been willing to work for your goals and your higher self appreciates that. Savor the rewards.

1. What do I need to know in order to make the best out of this week?

2. I am lately gripped by a lot of fear. May the Ogham comment on this fear? I'm hoping a reading could point towards a conclusion like: a) my fear is valid and I should better be panicking, b) my fear is valid but I have time and I need to confront it head-on and in a thoughtful manner, c) my fear is not valid and I'm using it as a distraction, or d) other miscellaneous.

The Ogham give you three cards this week, all well-dignified. Though this does not guarantee a trauma-free week, it does reveal a definite tilt in the direction of you winning.

For the You position, you drew Oir or Epiphany. Oir is painful no matter what the dignity -- it means coming to a needed realization of truth that often demands change. Oir is a veil that comes off -- what is revealed may be ugly but it needs to see the light of day.

For the Situation, you drew Ur or Intimacy. You keep the right secrets and are learning when silence is the best option. Again, I will spill my own "secret" that I have a habit of tailoring my personality towards others when I am with them. Like the moon, I reflect their light. This is not entirely a mask because I am showing them the real me. It's the real me that is most suited to being with whatever individual or group I am with at the time.

For the Outcome, you drew Coll or Wisdom. Wisdom is always hard-earned and involves not running away from truth. This card also implies lots of slow, steady, humble work. If you are willing to do the work, the wisdom will arrive.

The Ogham respond to your fear question with Eadha or Limits well-dignified. They are saying that fear is a fine thing WITHIN LIMITS. Panic isn't helpful in any case. Let's say I am in danger because I have a violent stalker lurking outside my house with a machete. How does panicking help me? You need to meditate on this: Why, how, and when would panicking ever be a good response? My fear of driving does not keep me off the road (unfortunately I have to drive a car in my current situation) but it does keep me from doing stupid and reckless things like speeding or blowing stoplights. If your fear is more like a phobia, go at it bit by bit with mild exposure therapy. Once you find out that violating the phobia's rules a tiny bit won't kill you, you'll be able to free yourself one tiny step at a time.

For the You card, you drew Onn or Community ill-dignified. The community or certain members of the community may end up letting you down this week. Maybe they are unable to help or maybe they lack the expertise you need. They may also be expecting too much of you, so be very careful about the work you agree to do for co-workers, colleagues, orgs that you are involved with, and so on. You don't have enough time to do it all.

For the Situation, you drew Luis or Protection well-dignified. Though this is in a good dignity, Luis can indicate danger in my Ogham so be on your guard. Other than that, it talks about being our best selves and listening to the higher self/Holy Guardian Angel that reminds us we can build ourselves up without tearing anyone down.

For the Outcome, you drew Gort or Perseverance ill-dignified. This means someone in the fam (maybe you?) is having trouble seeing a project to its end. There could also be some investment in a not-so-great situation or relationship that needs to be re-evaluated. Turbulence in anything long term is to be expected.

I most certainly am not asking for a reading because I know that this thread is closed. However, I did want to let you know that I'm using your readings to help me further my understanding of my own divination/ogham practice. I'm about a month on my own journey ang I found that your 'field tested" practices here in addition to my ogham's manual, and beginning the steps of Kabbalah via HMG's Paths Of Wisdom is extremely helpful in beginning to scaffold webs of meaning.
