Hi everyone, I am going to take an unexpected break from Ogham readings this week.  I have been suffering some depression and exhaustion from a couple of normal life setbacks and I just don’t feel I would be at my best. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes… I fully plan on being back next week.

Good call. I've had to take breaks from divination when emotionally unbalanced, and I had to learn this the hard way. The articles here lately have been great, even though I mostly don't have time to comment these days. Enjoy your time off and return refreshed.

PS I did take the advice of the Ogham last time rather than "knowing better". I'm learning ... slowly.

Thank you very much for your Ogham readings over the years,Kimberly. Don’t feel bad about taking a break -,one is best able to serve others when they are taking good care of themselves first. Your Ogham has been quite honestly foundational to my life becoming what it is - better and with me improving as a human and spiritual being with each day, week and set of readings. Wish you the best in your break.

P.S. I can thank your Ogham and you actually for gifting me with tools I now use to manage my own episodes of depression and indecision.

I have some very severe depression which comes and goes; I'd like to say something which helps, but in my experience nothing but time, luck, and grace does. The astrology is exceptionally rough right now, and I am just now coming off the same thing myself. Jupiter-Uranus in his fall is bound to produce life instability, and Saturn-Mars is just plain nasty, the malefic planet of depression conjunct another malefic. I sincerely wish you well, you've been very helpful to me. If you'd like I could light a candle and recite an Orphic hymn on your behalf,or perhaps just pray.

Wonderfully mature way of thinking, very Saturnian in a positive way. Thank you for your work, and congratulations on being able to heft your burdens with grace and grit.

Good for you, taking some time for yourself.

Your reading on my little sister’s situation last week blew her away. You have a new fan. Probably more than just her; she’s sharing widely.

May you be blessed,
Valerie

Thank you for being you and for all that you do.

Hi Kimberly, sorry to hear that you are feeling depleted.
Have you tried reading The Great Divorce yet? If you haven't, there's maybe a different C.S.Lewis work which you should try first.
"Till We Have Faces" is his retelling of the ancient story of Cupid and Psyche, and by any measure it's one of his best works. Before his conversion to Christianity he had a very strong affinity for pagan mysticism and even afterwords he retained that appreciation. I promise that there's no proselytizing in there, at least I don't remember any, and I've read the book 3 times.
I think it surely must contain some curing elements for a good pagan's soul.
