Ogham Readings on Sundays

Hi Everyone,

 

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.

 

Please note I will be taking off the weeks of December 24, 2023 and December 31, 2023.  Readings will resume as usual January 7, 2024.

Hello, Kimberly. You advised I pray to Saturn/Chronos in your last reading to me. I divinated beforehand, did some work on self-discipline and setting limits and routines the week before my prayer, and did a proper burning of frankincense and singing your Orphic Hymn arrangement to him. I can look back though and my divination reading was perhaps not so unambiguously positive as I would want it to be RE the result of my prayer to Saturn. I didn’t hear or feel a response from Saturn after my prayer - which doesn’t mean anything bad or good necessarily, as perhaps the silence *is* the response.

Can your Ogham let me know if Saturn appreciated my prayer to him? If not, is there anything expected of me at this time to make amends?

Hi Todd,

I have a peculiar connection with Saturn, probably because of the Orphic hymns. To answer your question, he gives you a bit of guidance. You are to study two cards in the Ogham. One is Muin or Harvest: you want results and answers now but that is definitely not how Saturn works. You are going to have to be PATIENT and overcome any fears through discursive meditation, a.k.a. the slow and hard way. Once you do, he will give you answers, but you need to feel his vibe. Literally working with the soil would not be a bad idea, in a garden or with houseplants. Saturn is a deity who likes people who are not afraid to get dirty and do dirty jobs.

The other card to study is Coll or Wisdom. The primary symbolism of Coll is that of a drip of water that eventually hollows out the Grand Canyon. The smallest of actions, repeated enough times, can forge the grandest of destinies. This is the lesson of Saturn. Also, he likes people who can truly keep a secret, so if you do get an answer from him, he may expect you not to say a word about it!
