Hi Everyone,
I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.
Please note I will be taking off the weeks of December 24, 2023 and December 31, 2023. Readings will resume as usual January 7, 2024.

Date: 2023-10-29 07:48 pm (UTC)For language J, they provide Duir or Gifts ill-dignified, meaning that your gifts for language are best used elsewhere. Though learning a new language is always worthwhile, language J isn't the best one in your particular case. There may be a more pragmatic or useful language for your particular circumstances that the Ogham think you should prioritize above language J.
For working in country J, my Ogham don't care for it. They give Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified, signifying an inability to overcome cultural barriers and possible self-delusion that it will work out for the best when that is not true.

The Ogham give you three cards this week, all well-dignified. Though such a reading seems at first glance to predict a perfect week, be warned that it actually means that you may be faced with harsh challenges that you have a very good chance of overcoming -- but any week where you have harsh challenges cannot be called fun or easy!
For the You position, you drew Ioho or Grace. Ioho is a card of endings, and for the record, it can even indicate death as it did in the successful prediction of the death of my Dad this week. At any rate, under more normal circumstances, it talks about knowing when to walk away and letting things come to a sensible and natural end. I like using the vestiges of youth as a good example here: we have all seen those people of a certain age who take great pains to wear what young people are wearing. Far easier on the eye and mind is the guy or gal who leans into their age and dresses/acts appropriately.
For the Situation, you drew Ailm or Transcendence. Here is another card of letting go but this time it is of being the bigger person and acting in accordance to your best and highest self. It can also mean trolls trying (hopefully unsuccessfully) to drag you down or to embroil you in their dramatic dramas. A metered "not my circus, not my monkeys" attitude will get you through this week. Only take on a challenge if you are absolutely called to do so.
For the Outcome, you drew Tinne or Defense. Even when well-dignified, Tinne can indicate danger in the Ogham, so be careful and don't take risks this week. Overall, your balance of Martial force and your sane defensive strategies pay off. Defense, I would argue, is mainly an astral activity, and those who do not defend themselves on the astral are the most vulnerable of all sitting ducks.
For the Ogham letter to contemplate, they give you Gort or Perseverance, also well-dignified.
As for the friend meeting, they don't like it at all. They give Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified, which means actual danger and/or conflict that is likely to be highly unpleasant.

They are trying to point out weaknesses you have that if you are forewarned, you will be forearmed and potentially able to avoid trouble.
For the You position, you drew Ailm or Transcendence. You may be straight up depressed or blue this week, or there could be a setback that doesn't have you in the best of moods. Another potential is that trolls make an attempt to draw you into their drama. Yet a third possibility is that of false transcendence -- that insistence to yourself and sometimes others that everything is absolutely fine when the truth does not measure up.
For the Situation, you drew Oir or Epiphany. There may be a realization that you or someone close to you is putting off or avoiding -- the Ogham tell you to get ahead of it and think about it now. Another potential here is the realization of what you cannot change being a bit of a bummer, but of course that is valuable and necessary information.
For the Outcome, you drew Koad or Confluence. Factors convene to prevent you from doing something you'd like to do and you may have to postpone it or scrap it. Some of this is your own fault, but much of it is sheer luck of the draw, so just work it out on your own end and make the best of whatever happens.

For the You position, you drew Beith or Intention/Birth well-dignified. Good ideas are born and/or are put on a straight and narrow track towards success this week. You can move with this current by postponing or even eliminating that which you are not completely in love with.
For the Situation, you drew Onn or Community well-dignified. This one represents a harmonious fit between you and your local world of semi-strangers. You are likely to feel valued and appreciated -- the only true security in this world is trust networks of this sort, which is why I have always been mystified by certain cultures where being kind, considerate, and neighborly to semi-strangers is considered freakish and/or stupid.
For the Outcome, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. There is no true bad side of Duir, and when it is ill-dignified, at its worst it means either feeling guilt about your gifts and privileges or being made to feel guilty about them. At any rate, whenever I get Duir ill-dignified, I see it as a reminder to be generous to a fault, to give others the benefit of the doubt, and to keep my sense of humor above all other senses.

I've been dabbling in tarot for a few years now and (a bit to my chagrin) I have used them to see if there are any women around me for which there might be a mutual interest. I have identified 4 women: T, I, Y, and M.
I currently like "T" quite a bit. The cards seem to suggests she likes me, too, but she seems a bit "above my league." Maybe she just thinks I'm a swell guy.
I barely know "I," but the cards seem to suggest that she would like to get to know me better.
I'm not sure about the character, motives, etc. of "Y" and "M." Maybe they're more focused on satisfying lust and starting a family before it's too late for them, and less focused on finding someone who they can sincerely love and respect. (This kinda reminds me of my ex, by the way.)
I'm wondering what your Ogham have to say about each of them. Is there anyone else that I could be missing?
I'm also wondering about the ethics of using tarot in this situation. I am still a novice in this type of stuff, so any warnings and/or enlightenment would be appreciated.
Please feel free to just give me the warnings and/or enlightenment if that's all you feel comfortable doing.

Date: 2023-10-29 09:10 pm (UTC)I don't find using divination or Tarot unethical in this case. My advice is you seem to like T the best, so I asked my Ogham about your chances with her. They say go for it. The worst thing that happens is that she turns you down, and if so, it wasn't meant to be, c'est la vie. They give you Gort or Perseverance well-dignified, which at its very worst could mean she will teach you about who you cannot be with for an extended period of time! And yeah, if a woman is out to find a father for her existing and future children, that's scary. If I were a guy, I would steer clear of that sort if there was any doubt. From what I have seen, women who force the family paradigm on a man who has never made it clear he wants to become a father always end up divorcing the guy once the kids are about 12. They want Mr. Right but they will hastily settle for Mr. Right Now, who will quickly become their whipping boy. Nope. Better to be Forever Alone MGTOW than to be the ex-husband some aging harpy once settled for.

Regardless of your level of "busy", you will take the time to appreciate and sublimate the little things. Quert is a card of Aphrodite in my Ogham, so look for synchronicities that have to do with that mighty goddess.
For the Situation, you drew Koad or Confluence ill-dignified. Despite the good fortune and overall niceness of your sojourn through Taurus, there may come an unfortunate meeting or a time when you are tempted to force a situation. Like the Kenny Rogers song says, you've got to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. Hopefully this card gives you enough warning to know when the sticky situation arises.
For the Outcome, you drew Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. Close relationships draw closer. Along with Quert, this card has you connecting with the people around you and finding a great deal of common interest and common ground. Learning to curate what you say according to both the situation and the person or people you are with gets a little easier when Jupiter and Uranus are in Taurus. In this civilization, we are often taught to speak whatever is on our mind, but that's actually not how you make friends. It's what you do not say that matters most of all.

They give Eadha or Limits ill-dignified, which means that the distance between you and any number of other factors from her past/your past to emotional baggage are going to make it difficult of cultivating a lasting bond with her.

For the You card, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. Ioho is karma being resolved and accepted, letting go of what was not meant for you or not meant to be, and letting the processes of Nature do their thing instead of working against them. It is a card of serenity and beauty.
For the Situation, you drew Straif or Resilience well-dignified. You have a solid set of plans in place and an attitude that makes you strong in the face of life's storms. Though this card does not say you can rest upon your laurels, it does reassure you that you are tougher than you think and that you have what it takes to make it over the long haul.
For the Outcome, you drew Luis or Protection ill-dignified. In any dignity, this is one of the physical danger cards of my Ogham, but when it is ill-dignified, I suggest being even more aware and not taking any risks. When I get this card or Tinne (Defense) or Huath (Obstacles) ill-dignified, I wear my red bag & salt amulet the moment I am done with my daily Sphere of Protection. Other than that, it can be talking about not listening to your best, highest self or thinking that you are insulated from harm when the entire lower astral plane is gunning for you as tends to happen in our modern age.

For the You card, you drew Beith or Beginnings ill-dignified. You may feel your get up and go got up and went in the coming month -- don't miss a daily exercise routine and multivitamin! Another issue could be taking on too many projects or having too much to do... you are going to have to find a way to pare it down. Yet a third potential snafu is going hard in the wrong direction. Discursive meditation is your best tool for that now that divination has warned you about it; find what you are doing wrong and gently self-correct.
For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. This is one of the danger cards of my Ogham, so don't take any chances, leave the dangerous stuff to others who are better suited for it, and be on your guard because as this is in Situation, it could be talking about loved ones or friends. That said, being too defensive and retreating into a bubble is one of those "this bad thing is just as horrible as the opposite bad thing". Molly-coddling, whether it is on yourself or others, lays waste to potential and it isn't nearly as safe as it is cracked up to be.
For the Outcome, you drew Huath or Obstacles. Once again, this is a danger card in my Ogham, so heed the same warning as Tinne. Overall, it can be talking about overuse or underuse of Martial force. You may be called upon to stand up to injustice or to rescue someone who needs your help. This is a very tricky thing to navigate and decisions might have to be split second. It's a good month to explore in meditation a bunch of "What would I do if Dramatic Situation X happened?" - Background to the trip - It was booked 3 years ago and the pandemic cancelled/postponed it. Somehow I haven't been too keen to go but last minute health issues out of the blue - my back pain got worse the past 2 weeks, just now feeling better... But 2 nights ago I woke up with vertigo out of the blue in the middle of the night and that has scared me very much...I've had very strange dreams recently as well...I feel bad about wasting the money for the trip but don't fancy being suddenly ill in a strange place...I'm torn, because I feel I'm ruining the holiday for my husband on top of everything else

The Ogham suggest looking to the Divine for guidance, i.e. praying, which will both assist you in actually knowing what you are talking about and give you the patience it takes to deal with Know-It-Alls.
For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense well-dignified. In any dignity, Tinne can indicate physical danger in my Ogham system, so be on the lookout and don't take unnecessary risks. Other than that, the Ogham may be showing you the truth of what is ineffective and effective concerning defense: when someone is being too defensive, he imagines threats that aren't there, gets excited over nothing, and presumes that everyone is a potential enemy. True defense incorporates an earthy approach -- it is through allies, knowing human nature, and pragmatic measures that a good defense is achieved.

The astral weather is unusually clear in your corner of the world this week, and hallelujah for that, because it has been absolute trash where I am. Hopefully this clear view gives you the opportunity to think about your long term future, to consider and even make large purchases, and to reflect productively on the past.
For the Situation, you drew Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. Because this is in Situation, it can mean you have to suffer someone who is acting the fool. There are many types of fool from the Know-It-All fool mentioned several times in above threads to the buffoon to the self-destructive nihilist. You may have to avoid those people. If the Ogham are warning you of your own foolishness, take a watchful and contemplative eye to your own actions. Edit your speech with severity and spend a bit extra time in the meditation chair.
For the Outcome, you drew Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. Ioho is the equivalent of the Death card in the Ogham deck and when it's ill-dignified, it isn't necessarily literal (though it could be, so be exceedly careful and risk-averse this week) but it usually means you need to let go of what no longer is useful or good. This could be anything from letting go of material possessions to habits to actual people. It could also be a simple admonition that you need to prioritize rest for yourself this week and that you are driving yourself too hard.

For the You position, you drew Ngetal or Hygiene well-dignified. Hopefully this card is an indication of better than usual health for you -- though at any rate, I always suggest a good quality multivitamin taken every day plus moderate exercise for 5-40 minutes per day depending on what you can stand. Hygiene is also mental. Diets are better suited to the astral plane than the physical one and limiting what you see with your eyes and hear with your ears is one of the easiest and most sensible ways of improving your life virtually overnight.
For the Situation, you drew Saille or Sensitivity ill-dignified. I notice this one tends to come up a great deal in your readings and my guess is the Ogham are once again telling you to pare down your material excess. They may also be trying to remind you to appreciate the world around you and that you cannot do all the things you are interested in... there is not enough time.
For the Outcome, you drew Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified. In this dignity, the Ogham are hinting that you need to face a truth you have been avoiding or dodging. The karma you find torturous will not resolve until you are an honest broker concerning one or more truths.
For your sexual desires, the Ogham give you Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified. This indicates one or more imbalances of Martial force where sex is concerned. An excess of Martial force could have you thinking about sex far too much, putting too much importance into what is, all things considered, a biological function that is only exciting to those directly involved in the act. Too little Martial force and you have no way of getting what you desire, only vague hopelessness. Working with and propitiating to Ares and Aphrodite is what I would suggest here.
Saturn in Pisces transit
Date: 2023-10-29 11:42 pm (UTC)As you're probably aware, Saturn entered Pisces in March of this year. This transit forms a boatload of squares and oppositions to my natal chart. . [I suspect this contributed to my job loss in May and very much plays a role in my care of the elders that I'm going through now].
Do the Ogham have any thoughts about how best to navigate this Saturn transit? I'm sure there are some valuable lessons to be learned, but I'd also like to move through this period as gracefully and graciously as possible.

You drew three cards for navigating the Saturn transit. All were well-dignified, which I think is Saturn's way of saying "THANKS FOR ASKING".
For the You card, you drew Uilleand or Generosity. The ultimate way out of this is to turn your inner Scrooge into Santa Claus and to give, give, give from your heart. This is far deeper than money, though your attitude towards money may benefit from adjustment. Sometimes you just have to let go of money, and that includes literally, as in buying nice things for people and yourself. Generosity also means giving others the benefit of the doubt and maintaining your sense of humor even when you feel like dog barf.
For the Situation, you drew Ur or Intimacy. I imagine this one is referring to the elders you are dealing with, and this is the Ogham's way of suggesting the secret of dealing with old people is to both give them the "you" they want but to also be unflinchingly honest and fearless about certain things, especially things that have to do with death and dying.
For the Outcome, you drew Coll or Wisdom. Saturn's wisdom is the kind that is learned the hard way -- through deprivation, poverty, turmoil, and hard living in general. Every one of us human souls will have to undergo his trials at some point, and it is the grace with which we accept our circumstances that propels our souls to evolve. So many people, including comfortable and rich people, live in fear of poverty their entire lives, especially if they have suffered it in the past. Meat World poverty, even the kind that causes you to starve and die, is temporary though; nothing lasts in Meat World. It is poverty of the spirit that is the real menace, and if you are always full of generosity, grace, and love and relentless about living those values, you will never suffer true poverty no matter how many lifetimes you put in on Earth.

Since you go to war with the army you have instead of the army you want, I went in with L who wasn't *quite* the right choice for things like this and that was true... but at the same time L was how it even got to the point it did in the first place and without L I'm not sure it would have been a starter at all.
