Hi Everyone,
I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.
Please note I will be taking off the weeks of December 24, 2023 and December 31, 2023. Readings will resume as usual January 7, 2024.

For the You card, they give you Oír or Epiphany well-dignified. Oír is a card of lightning flash realizations from spirit -- not always pleasant ones. Delve deep into any sudden realizations you get because those meditations will help you later. I often meditate on topics that my husband and I disagree over. My meditations have taught me a great deal about myself, him, and our relationship.
For the Situation, you drew Gort or Perseverance well-dignified. This looks like a long-haul relationship for you. Always look on the bright side when you are struggling and invoke your sense of humor unless it is mean-spirited. Many long term relationships have been saved by humor, including mine.
For the Outcome, the card given is Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. As I have said in my past articles many times, an overflow of generosity and gratitude makes you more lovable and far more likely to have quality and long term bonds with other beings, including inanimate objects and places. Everybody wants the grateful and generous one. Of course they do, because we all want to feel appreciated and that we are doing something right, and of course we love those who reciprocate gifts.

For the You position, you drew Eadha or Limits ill-dignified. The Ogham caution you that you face two potentials of imbalance: one is trying to push past your limits or expecting unrealistic results when you should be thinking more deeply about your expectations in general. The other is staying in your lane so hard you forget that life needs to be lived and enjoyed; Sartre called this "bad faith" and used it to describe a self-imposed prison.
For the Situation, you drew Straif or Resilience ill-dignified. Worrying about the future can go septic very quickly because it is often a sneaky way of putting a thought-stopper in the way of constructive action right now. Think of all those people who fetishize the Apocalypse or the coming of a new, enlightened age. They do that out of mental laziness because they don't want to face or correct their own childishness, addictive behaviors, and propensity to treat others like s**t.
There is an old country song that says "All I got to do is live and die but I'm in a hurry and I don't know why". Instead of worrying about the future, imagine that you are going to die tomorrow. What piles of junk would you leave behind? What would have been the last words you said to your loved ones? What projects that meant a great deal to you would remain unfinished? Then take that information and get rid of the junk, tell your loved ones that you are grateful for them and you love them, and get working on those projects like there is a fire under your butt.
For the Outcome, you drew Ruis or Regret well-dignified. By using your own regret over the past, you can power your outlook so that you don't fall into the same traps again. This is not about beating yourself up. Instead, it is about saying "I am not proud of that, so that is why I don't do that anymore" and picking yourself up and dusting yourself off.
For A or B, they give B. They provide Koad or Confluence ill-dignified.

They give you three cards.
For the You card, they give Ngetal or Hygiene well-dignified. Ngetal is a card of cleaning up and rooting out the rot. Today I had a nasty encounter with some ancient, festering cat food my parents had left out for their finicky kitty. It stank like hell and was ((thisclose)) to being infested with maggots. I flushed it down the toilet and then cleaned the toilet because of the insult... yuck. This is the sort of thing you face this week, hopefully not literally but figuratively. Sanitation can also be a state of mind: minding your own business, giving others the benefit of the doubt, and refusing to be embroiled in petty dramas are all ways to keep your nose clean.
For the Situation, you drew Straif or Resilience ill-dignified. Either someone is too worried, not worried enough, or a combination of both imbalances where they are worried about the wrong things while the truly bad stuff is about to knock on their door because they did not think to address it. The "someone" in question may be you but because it is in Situation, it could also be talking about someone who is affecting your life.
For the Outcome, you drew Luis or Protection well-dignified. Whenever this card shows up, it can mean physical danger, so here comes my usual warning about not running in flip-flops or climbing improperly-stabilized ladders. Just... don't. Safety first. With that out of the way, this card points to you invoking your higher self and taking a very, very macro view of the whole situation like an angel looking down at it from above. This too shall pass, and since it is probably all an illusion, what matters most is that you be your best self -- brave, kind, thoughtful, generous, and grateful -- and let the rest of it sort itself out.

Date: 2023-09-25 02:46 pm (UTC)I am waiting to hear from the doctor on the PET Scan on Friday. Fifteen years ago, I got the cancer diagnosis at just about this time in September. I appear to have another on the other side of my mouth! We'll muddle through the way we did the last time.

My question this week:
I have once again been asked to do a bit of community-service type consulting work for a small honorarium. I am conflicted about doing it. On one hand, I feel bad letting the organizer down, and I realize that they probably do need my help, and frankly I could use a little extra money....on the other hand, the work is a bit tedious and I'm rather busy with other things these days and maybe it's time they found another anyway.
It's hardly a life-or-death decision, but I'm wondering what your Ogham thinks. Should I do it or say no?

The first question I asked them on your behalf was to give me one card that would be well-dignified for Yes and ill-dignified for No. They provided Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified, which tells me the honorarium people wish to take advantage of your generosity because they know you are a generous person. I was once embroiled with an organization that took advantage of my generosity for several years and it became a living hell. There was a month when I was working 50 hours a week for them with no pay additional to my normal full teaching schedule. I had to extract myself forcibly in the end and it was not pretty, so I can see why my Ogham are telling you to just say No.
For the second question, I asked what the repercussions would be for saying No. They provide Muin or Harvest ill-dignified, which is to say that yeah, money is tight and that isn't getting better soon. As someone who is quite familiar with a scanty bank account, play it close to the vest financially and keep it all buckled down tight until this era passes. No big purchases, keep the perks to a minimum, and perhaps seek other ways of temporarily bringing in extra cash.

My Ogham give you three cards for the cycle.
For the You position, you drew Beith or Beginnings ill-dignified. This points to a couple of imbalanced potentials. One is that there isn't enough of you to go around for all of the things you want to do plus the things that need to get done. This could be due to you needing a breather and/or it could be because you've got too many irons in the fire. Severely question any new projects or bright ideas in meditation and consider slamming down some limits where needed.
For the Situation, you drew Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. This one points to needing more rest and letting go of that which you cannot change or control. As I have said many times on this blog, this civilization has major troubles with the concept of Grace. All good things come to an end and this is the way it should be. Sleep is a holy pastime despite our culture undervaluing it or mistakenly presuming it is all about physical health when it is also crucial for the spirit and the mind.
For the Outcome or Karma, you drew Duir or Gifts well-dignified. As bad as this cycle gets, it does offer one thing: the opportunity to use your unique gifts to raise yourself (and others) up to a higher vibration. The Ogham don't tell me exactly what these talents of yours are, only that others are eager for you to share them and that they uplift you out of the humdrum.

Concerning the molly-coddling, whether or not I am guilty of that, I am (slowly, as time and energy and will allow) learning more about myself and the world around me, including other people. I hope to have that (and/or related issues) dealt with sooner than later.
Towards the end of our marriage my ex talked about her mother being a devouring mother and would say things implying that she wanted to escape from that. The divorce might have been part of that. I wonder what your Ogham have to say about any of this, particularly as it relates to me learning from my mistakes and moving on.
Also, could your Ogham shed more light as to what to keep an eye out for if and when I decide to move closer to work?
Finally, what is your opinion of doing the Qabalistic Cross and Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram on a daily basis. I have been doing this for over a year now.

As to your inquiry about what the Ogham have to say about your ex's escape from her own devouring mother having something to do with the divorce, they say No, it was not a major influence. They give Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified, meaning that she had many epiphanies that led to your breakup but that was not one of them, or at least it was not the big one. As painful as this is, many women these days have trouble staying married because the role of man as provider has been broken in Western civilization, which means there is no reason to respect one's man or hold on to him anymore. Even if you are a good provider, women now largely believe the programming that a good provider is worthless unless he is handsome, super-wealthy, and healthy. Heaven forbid one of those factors is missing. Most women have gotten it in their heads that they are better off alone, and every now and then they are correct. You really have to leave her to her chosen destiny.
For the pitfalls of moving closer to work, my Ogham say you will probably need to move before it feels right because the "right" time is always going to be troublesome. They give you Koad or Confluence ill-dignified, which is to say the s**tstorm is what it is. Grab your sturdiest umbrella and galoshes and go forward with low expectations and the best of hopes.
For the rituals, they say it may not feel like it's working, but you have to hang in there. They provide Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified, meaning that there is at least one deity paying attention to you and helping you despite your lack of sensitivity. That entity is ready to share its gifts with you but you have to continue what may feel like a slog before it becomes apparent. For what it is worth, I had to slog away for two years before I started truly feeling the Sphere of Protection. Lately I have been noticing it goes very, very deep and it does clear up the connection so I can talk to various entities in the spiritual ecosystem, but man, does it take a long time!

I did that for many months and it seems to be gone.I just wanted to thank you . I also wanted to thank you for the posts on the Ouija board. I experimented a s a teenager, it did not go well. I was smart enough to end it. If I had a question for the ogham it would be along the lines of do I somehow invite demons.

As for demons, again from my own limited understanding, demonic obsession is a slow process of little degradations. What people think of as "selling one's soul" is not something that can be done in a magic circle with the right invocations. It is more of a gradual digging of a pit. For instance, let's take a girl who is cursed with a chronic disease from birth and who marinates in self pity as a teenager, frequently bingeing on alcohol, LSD, and marijuana/hashish in order to escape her chronic pain and anxiety about the future. By her early 20s, she is a full blown heroin addict who flits from relationship to relationship with various drug dealers. At some point, this woman has a good chance of having sold her soul to demons whether or not she believes in them. As JMG likes to say, you don't have to believe in demons; they believe in you.
My Ogham say No, you have not invited any demons by mistake or on purpose. They provide Gort or Perseverance ill-dignified, meaning that you did not have it within you to sink to the levels of depravity being infested by demons requires. Often if you have a strong sense of your Holy Guardian Angel and you tend to listen to that being (again by accident or on purpose) you cannot be infested by demons. There is too much generosity and gratitude guarding the door. Demons hate generosity, but they hate gratitude most of all.

For the Situation, you drew Fearn or Bridge ill-dignified. The trouble with waiting for "something" to happen is nothing ever happens, or at least not in the way you would like it to happen. Corporations (and I would argue the evil powers behind them) have a vested interest in keeping people bored, dependent, sick, and unhappy -- productive, independent, well, happy people are terrible customers. The question is not when/if the ship will come in but how you can make the most of a life where it never comes in.
For the Outcome, you drew Mór or Sea Change ill-dignified. It's one of those nasty astral weather weeks again. The astral weather has been awful in my area despite some beautiful 73 degree days that would make Eden-dwellers a little jealous. This nasty weather, just like good weather, is not your fault. Now that you know about it, cut yourself and others some slack and keep expectations low. Big decisions and purchases should be put off. Keep it simple and mostly quiet.

You do a good job of keeping what needs to be kept to yourself a secret and speaking your mind in an articulate way if/when the time is right. That said, any presence of this card is a warning to potentially keep your mouth shut in case you accidentally stick your foot in it.
For the Situation, you drew Ngetal or Hygiene ill-dignified. This one can be a warning about ill-health, so eat your beans and nuts, take a good quality multivitamin religiously, and get enough sleep during the coming week. And bathe -- this refreshes the etheric layer, especially when you wash your head/hair. Ill-dig Ngetal can indicate physical danger too, so be wary of it this week. Other than that, Ngetal in a bad dignity can indicate people and influences of questionable physical or spiritual hygiene getting too close and is a recommendation to keep your defenses up.

Bridge indicates that those who are spiritually inclined can get ahead of this now by praying for the god's help and generally living the Word instead of just preaching some watered-down version of it. Isn't Joel Osteen's church in Texas? Osteen is the worst of hypocrites -- to my mind, he is worshipping Satan, a.k.a. a mockery of Christianity, not Jesus. His church is proof of the diminished influence of the Christian god in our era. Osteen's and Texas's problem is not so muchthe disinterest of his own ostensible god, Yahweh, but the potential consequences brought on by other forces outside that god's boundaries.

Date: 2023-09-25 04:18 am (UTC)As to what you are missing, my Ogham give you Nuin or Communication well-dignified. This is to say you have to realize communication with entities is a two way street. You must be patient and look for signs and listen for answers. You don't understand enough at this point to interpret the results you got. Nuin is an indication that you need to continue the dialogue with the Divine so they can inform you as to why you got the unexpected result. This may be a test; that is not unusual at all. Ask yourself in what ways this could be a test? Are they checking you to see if you'll persevere? What would a stupider, more arrogant or more timid, previous version of yourself have done? How are you different than you were ten or twenty years ago?

Potential job opportunities

I have been visualizing specific characteristics of jobs and basically have arrived at two general buckets. One bucket would be financially better, the other bucket has other benefits, but definitely not as financially rewarding. Wondering if the Ogham have an opinion about where to put my energy as a priority.

My Ogham clearly like 1a, opportunity bucket "R". For it, they give the only well-dignified card in the bunch. They give Gort or Perseverance well-dignified, which means the 1a opportunity is the most sustainable, sanest, long-term choice.
For the other ones, they are all ill-dignified.
For 1b, they provide Ngetal or Hygiene ill-dignified. Ngetal in this dignity can indicate toxic people, a toxic environment, or other health hazards such as anxiety and lack of sleep/rest.
For 2a, they provide Beith or Beginnings ill-dignified, which means a rough start. This one could turn out OK though, but if you choose it, ask the Ogham to look further than the "rough start".
For 2b, they provide Tinne or Defense ill-dignified. This one indicates potential physical danger, vulnerability, and a false sense of security. It is the worst one, so I would skip it altogether if you can.

Date: 2023-09-25 04:32 am (UTC)My Ogham say No, they do not think it is a good idea to learn geomancy at this time. They provide Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified, meaning that it will be an uphill battle that is not worth fighting. You might want to look into other methods of divination.
They do not believe you could be discreet enough to practice geomancy in a country with severe anti-witchcraft laws. They give you Fearn or Bridge ill-dignified, which means that you would find it to be far more of a hindrance than a helper to divine that way. Better to learn an undetectable means of divination, such as the Druid tree energy exchange or reading tea leaves.
For your question about getting out of Canada by end of year, they say yes, you can do that, meaning you will be able to do that regardless of what you actually choose to do. They provide Beith or Intention well-dignified, meaning the intention is strong enough to make that image a reality.

For the You position, you drew Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. The close bonds within your tight-knit family are your saving grace this week. What makes a home sacred is not the harmonious arrangement of furniture, the amount of time the family spends in worship, or the sturdiness of the walls themselves. What elevates a home to a transcendent level is the people, companion animals, and I would argue the spaces and spirits of objects within it knowing they are loved and appreciated.
For the Situation, you drew Beith or Beginnings ill-dignified. I would expect a lack of energy this week. One or more members of the fam may feel their get up and go got up and went. It's a good week to take it down a notch, relax, rest, and generally chill out. Fighting this trend is certainly a potential but not a good idea; think spitting in the wind in the wrong direction.
For the Outcome, you drew Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. A couple of things can be going on here: the first is suffering a fool. When somebody who claims to have knowledge cannot back it up and is arrogant even after being owned on it, boy, that is insufferable. Or sometimes Phagos can be talking about the frustration of not knowing and not being able to know. "Trust in the Divine"... yeah, easier said than done.
