When JMG wrote his essay I read and re-read it and read every single comment carefully. I have returned to it a few times since then.
For many years I had a regular masturbation habit. It went up and down a bit over the years as my health changed (mostly diet driven), but essentially it was something I felt I needed to do on a regular basis or I would go a bit sex crazy.
And then I started a relationship with an etherically male and beautiful woman...... The change started immediately and progressed quickly. I suspect I am also recovering from years of being tired & wired - using masturbation like the busy and stressed will eat junk food alone in the absence of a loving meal with those one loves.
