Hi Everyone,
I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills. I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.

I've had a really weird few months with lots of people misunderstanding me or taking what I've said in the wrong way, and many transport and machine-related issues.
I usually consider myself to be under the general protectorate of Hermes and felt I was on quite good terms with him. However, this has left me wondering if I've offended him in some way - it doesn't feel like I'm being explicitly punished, more like my usual protection has been removed. Equally, someone on Magic Mondays a few weeks ago posted about it being an afflicted period for Mercury.
Could you ask the Ogham if I have offended Hermes/Mercury in some way, or whether it's just a rough patch for the Mercurial forces?

For the You position, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. You begin to let go of what is not meant to be, what is past its prime, and/ or what is not meant for you this week in a way you have not been able to do before. We live in a culture that is terrified of the aging process, but the sanest among us are the elders who have accepted getting older with cool and level heads. Make a note of the traction you've made with letting go of old relationships, objects, roles, habits, and ways of life this week.
For the Situation ,you drew Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified. It is going to be tempting to say everything that pops into your head this week; the Ogham are giving you forewarning so you know in advance to mercilessly edit your speech. Because this is in Situation, it can be talking about someone else in your circle who spills secrets in an unfortunate way.
For the Outcome, you drew Straif or Resilience ill-dignified. Doom has always been around the corner and about to arrive any day now -- just ask a random Evangelist and they will assure you God is coming sometime next week, even though they've been saying the same line their entire lives. Worrying about it can turn into a fetish and an expensive and unproductive one at that. Better to only worry about the most immediate threats and not to take diminished circumstances as a sign the End is about to arrive. That said, sometimes this card is not one of worry and presumptions about the future but of strained finances. Either way, the Ogham suggest detaching from the emotional nature of the topic... it's going to be fine, just live your life and try not to worry too much.
As for your most fixable character defect, they give Koad or Confluence well-dignified. This is to say that when you understand you are at a crossroads, it can be difficult to know you are making the correct choice. Of course every moment of our lives is a kind of crossroads. The Ogham say: don't panic, when faced with decisions of this nature, spend time on each choice and potential outcome in discursive meditation, and take a Stoic attitude of being the best possible person you can be no matter what happens down the line.

Date: 2023-04-16 07:36 pm (UTC)This looks like an overall balanced week for you -- all three cards are well-dignified. That said, I have had some doozy days on all well-dig readings, so be prepared as sometimes the well-dig cards merely indicate a strong potential for triumph over dire challenges.
For the You position, you drew Fearn or Bridge well-dignified. The Ogham commend you for having the maturity to pluck the good from the dumpster fire that is humanity right now: it's all too easy to wallow in the negative and hate on people (because they're generally dumb) but you find a way to take what shines and make the most of it.
For the Situation, you drew Straif or Resilience well-dignified. While preparing adequately for the worst, you continue hoping for the best, and that is the sanest, most balanced attitude one can take. This being in Situation means that you are positively influencing those around you with your sanguine vibe about what is worth worrying about and what needs to be ignored.

If thoughts become actions, actions become habits, habits become character, and character becomes destiny, you are having the right thoughts and actions this week. For the You position, you drew Ngetal or Hygiene ill-dignified. This week could present a health risk, so be warned. That said, Ngetal can also be talking about attitude towards health being out of whack. The problem with complaining too much about one's own health is you become what you behold: by speaking of pain and suffering all the time and focusing on it, you end up obsessed. If you complain and focus too little, you can end up nearly wasting yourself and dying without cause because you ignored what was going on in your body. The best approach, of course, is to complain when necessary but to otherwise not allow worry about health to take over your existence.
For the Situation, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. Perhaps you are the recipient of a gift or a privilege; whether it is great or small, be grateful for it and do your best to pay it forward. Another aspect of this card is the potential of you being generous and gifting some part of your energy (this does not have to mean money or possessions, but it can mean that) and in that case, you can count on the gifts returning to you seven times over.
For the Outcome, you drew Eadha or Limits well-dignified. There is great benefit to knowing your limits this week, staying in your lane when necessary, and gracefully accepting that which you cannot do. By eliminating that which is not appropriate to you, you will fortify that which you truly love and want to do.

For the You position, you drew Beith or Beginnings well-dignified. Your energy is in the right place this week, but more importantly, you are not easily distracted from that right place. It's a good week to understand which projects and trajectories you are instinctively pulled towards, because this week the Ogham says the worthwhile ones stand out.
For the Situation, you drew Saille or Sensitivity well-dignified. This is another card of putting your energy where it belongs, but this time it has to do with ruthlessly pruning out that which does not suit you, that which you do not love, or that which you feel only lukewarm about. Despite its dignity being upright, this could be a painful process this week.
For the Outcome, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. It's difficult for Duir to be negative even when well-dignified, because at its worst it speaks about feeling entitled to privileges or behaving a bit like a spoiled child or being tempted to behave that way. The best way to deal with overflowing gifts is to pay them forward. Every time you do, you will receive them back through all seven planes of existence to the power of seven, but when, where, and how that will happen is something only the gods know.

Usually the Ogham are just gently warning you of where to look for imbalance so you can head it off at the pass.
For the You position, you drew Nuin or Communication. This one can often talk about too much time spent in front of a screen, difficulties with technology and transportation, and the world of strangers acting crappily. Keep your expectations low for all of the above this week and create lots of backup plans and you'll come out OK.
For the Situation, you drew Onn or Community ill-dignified. Community is your world of semi-strangers, and this week has the world of semi-strangers (this can include relatives you don't see or interact with very often) is not on its best behavior. Because it is in Situation, it is very possible this lack of community affects someone close to you. As you might know, in my readings there can be an "excess" of Community, and in this case it means the community asking far too much of you and/or you asking far too much of it.
For the Outcome, you drew Saille or Sensitivity. There is a chance of sticking your foot in your mouth or behaving like an ass this week, so keep yourself in check and don't indulge your own motormouth and take special care to be considerate of others if they deserve that from you. The opposite problem could also happen, and that will mean you are oversensitive and clingy, treating that which you are lukewarm or disdainful towards as if you loved it. In that case, get some distance and don't be afraid of excluding, avoiding, and eliminating what you don't care for.

They provide Straif or Resilience, which hints that the hullaballoo around AI has to do with the Long Descent more than it has to do with a race of digital superbeings commandeering the planet a la the Matrix films. So while the Ogham think people should be concerned about AI stealing data, elections, and the legitimacy of any given university term paper, the anxiety surrounding it is yet another Apocalypse meme meant to distract from actually getting down to the work of Resilience. It's the Ogham's way of saying forget about it and go outside and tend the garden.
My Ogham think that the right response would be learning to pay attention to the etheric plane. They provide Quert or Delight ill-dignified, which is to say it is automation, an abandonment of everyday courtesy, and the overall lack of a human touch in everyday interaction that fueled the AI beast to begin with. Anyone who wishes to cut the knees out from under that beast (and I do) can combat it in their everyday actions. Refuse to treat any of your fellow human beings as a means to an end, including the surly customer service person you waited an hour for on the annoying phone tree. Thank everyone and everything for their gifts, including AI itself. I thank my iPhone's SIRI every night for her service and hard work. If AI is truly demonic, it will begin to suffer the death of a thousand cuts when you thank it, bless it, and feed it prayers to the gods.

You drew three cards this week. All were well-dignified. That said, an all-well-dignified reading can still mean a doozy of a week; all that it indicates is that you have a high chance at overcoming the week's challenges and coming through in style.
For the You position, you drew Ruis or Regret. When it is well-dignified, Ruis is the beneficial side of Regret. You avoid potentially terrible mistakes this week via a combination of knowing better and not putting yourself in situations where terrible mistakes are likely to be made. That said, be on the lookout for people who try to make you feel ashamed without just cause, which is sadly very common in this era of race-baiting and privilege guilt.
For the Situation, you drew Duir or Gifts. This is one of the best cards in the deck and I hope it is as fortuitous for you as it sounds. Being able to share your gifts (or having gifts shared with you) is a tremendous event and not all of us get to do it. This tree card points to a full flow of generosity both in and out of your life this week.
For the Outcome, you drew Fearn or Bridge. Gathering good advice is one thing -- being able to use it is quite a step up. Fearn talks about the strength gained via new and old friends, great knowledge learned from old masters and old books, and being able to negotiate with people you disagree with and thereby making the best out of an iffy situation.

Date: 2023-04-16 11:49 pm (UTC)A while back (sometime in February), I asked about a job opportunity with a middle-eastern company; your ogham said I should go for it, and would strongly regret it if I didn't take it. I then failed to get the position. That was actually a blessing as certain things happened in my personal life that would have made moving a challenge at best. However, I got excited for the job, and thought about keeping an eye out for another chance. I asked your ogham about this, and they said this was not a good thing to do, so I put it aside until recently. The various issues which would have made leaving Canada a problem have resolved, and I'm as ready to go as I'll ever be.
There will be another interview with the company in just over a week in Montreal, which is a trip I can make in a day. I've also noticed a huge number of synchronicites around the company, city, country, etc., all of which have caught my attention. I have everything organized from the last attempt, and it feels right to me to go and try again.
a) Could I check with your ogham whether I'm right that their earlier advice not to reapply was meant as a "not right now", and not as advice to never try again?
b) If this is the case, do they like the prospects for the interview in Montreal?

I'd been wondering about how to square the circle here: How could it have been a good opportunity, but not worth following up on it? "Not right now" makes a lot more sense.

You have a good grasp of what it is to be healthy this week, which of course is more than physical, even if perfect health itself is out of reach. For the Situation, you drew Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified, and as this is in Situation, I would warn that it could indicate creeps or predators seeking to disturb your family's equilibrium as they would have a foul and warped view of the concept of intimacy. In a less dramatic sense, this is the Ogham's gentle warning to tell people outside the family only what they absolutely need to know; the rest is none of their business.
For the Outcome, you drew Coll or Wisdom well-dignified. This is another card of keeping one's mouth shut when the time is right. It also means potential help from benevolent non-embodied beings to those who show a willingness to persevere and to do hard work without complaining when it comes to attaining a desired goal.
For the Topic A group, my Ogham do not care for them. They give Beith or Intention ill-dignified, which is to say these people either suffer from having a bunch of differing intentions/directions or that they are unified in their intention, and it's a lousy and misguided one that should go back to the drawing board.
