They're the new Right. Back in the 1980s and early 90s, the Right was the force for censorship and mass surveillance. They were the ones inveighing against Beavis and Butthead and MTV in general. They were the ones who worshipped Dick Cheney and who installed Bush junior in the White House. They were the Koch brothers. The Left is everything they used to despise: they're warmongers and censorious pearl-clutchers. Instead of the Koch brothers, the names have changed to Gates, Harari, Schwab, Fauci. They have inordinate amounts of power just as the religious Right used to have. I remember it seemed the power of the religious Right could not possibly come to an end, but now it is in the hands of insane leftists and their zombie minions.
