My guess is that a lot of them think it's fine once the younger partner hits puberty, but can't admit to it, either to themselves or to the world; so you did falsely accuse someone of pedophilia, because there's very few who actually seem to be into prepubescents.
And if your bar is "Better than CNN" I hate to say it but it'll be hard to find anyone who can't top that!
