It sounds like a wonderful childhood! We are lucky in this country to be free to homeschool. I have a friend with five unvaxxed, homeschooled children plus I have met quite a few homeschooled children in my line of work as a private music teacher. They almost always have a considerable level up intellectually and the only one I have run into who was unhappy was homeschooled in name only. His mother was negligent and lazy, allowing him to run free through the neighborhood. He went through his teens illiterate and ended up in juvie. The ones with parents who actually try end up with children of extremely advanced abilities in many subjects. One of my piano students is a homeschooled 6 year old who is quickly turning into a piano prodigy.
