Ogham Readings on Sundays

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills -- but if you want to donate for it, I'll happily buy myself a book, a snack, or a cup of tea while on the town. Please only donate if you can absolutely afford it. I've been there. Your prayers for my continued success are welcome whether you donate or not! I take reading requests until 8pm Central Time (Chicago Illinois USA) on Sunday night. Though I am flattered that people want readings after the deadline, I decline reading requests made after 8pm Central Time on Sunday night without exception.
I will be taking August 28 off, so please keep in mind I will not be reading the last Sunday in August. I will be back the following week.

Week 30 (version 2)

I have possibly 2 questions this week:
1. What do I need to know in order to make the best out of this week?
2. I'm not sure if this question is out-of-bounds or too vague, so I understand if it won't be answered. I'm trying to model the template time-wise on your previous readings regarding the vacked and not-vacked (spelling choice is deliberate :-) )
What does the Ogham have to say about my present and future? I would prefer to be vague as to what time in the future I'm asking about, but if some specificity is recommended, I'd say in the next 5 years.

Move out week

Recently I began a romantic affair with O.E. - I'm moving out of town in a few months and this person is recently single from a long term relationship, so I don't think the two of us will be together for a very long time, but what do you Ogham say will be the outcome if I keep things going with her for now?
3. I was recently contacted about a couple concerts with a bandleader I work with somewhat regularly, but I've lately been feeling like putting that part of my life behind me. What would be the outcome if I were to bail on these shows and get on with things now?

Weekly update and reading
Date: 2022-07-24 08:08 pm (UTC)Well my first week of training was interesting. Had a trainer that loved going on about how strict she was, worked three jobs at sixteen, I'm sure you've seen the type, even boasted about often not taking any breaks at all during a shift, makes me wonder what the actual job will be like.
The training was a bunch of videos and a simulator that was down more often than up, tomorrow I start taking live calls and still not too sure what to do, I've been told this is normal, I rate the training 4/10.
As for the at war thing this gets interesting. I write fan stories for a series called Loud House, my fanfic isn't well called out because it calls out some of the more loved characters for their negative actions, like a girl threatening her brother with a baseball bat. Other than that it was a good week, got a lot accomplished, had some good food, looks like soon enough I'll be moving into a better place that is NOT falling apart and actually have room in my room!

For the You position, you drew Muin or Harvest ill-dignified. This indicates a personal propensity towards imbalance. It could be a psychology of previous investment where you're sinking into old ruts and habits out of convenience. It could also mean that you're impatient about some part of your life or that something isn't going to turn out the way you want it to.
For the Situation, you drew Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified. Someone comes to a realization or makes a judgement that paints a situation in the wrong light. Hopefully the "someone" is not you, if so, be ready to open up your mind a bit more. If it is someone else, it's probably best to forgive them and move on.
For the Outcome, you drew Tinne or Defense well-dignified. Being alert and prepared this week helps you to fend off bad luck and unhappiness; that said, be on the lookout and be diligent this week about health and orderliness.
For your question about your present, they provide Quert or Delight well-dignified. Quert is the appreciation of little things that makes life worth living. Your best strategy is to focus on the small things and courtesies with those you have disagreements with and avoid the topic of disagreement. I do this with family and friends with whom I disagree, usually on politics, veganism, or some other touchy angle. Life is very short. Too short to lose friends and family because I can't manage to keep my more controversial opinions to myself for a few hours.
For your question about the future, they give Luis or Protection ill-dignified. There is danger close by where you are concerned. We live in dangerous times.

For the You position, they provide Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified. There is a temptation to either share too much information or to scuttle away like a hermit crab... try to find a more reasonable medium between the two extremes. If there is a person you are very close to, feelings may be rocky this week.
For the Situation, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. There isn't a bad side to Duir, which implies a state of generosity. Gifts come your way that you can be grateful for. Use them to transform yourself into a more generous person in every moment.
For the Outcome, you drew Ailm or Transcendence well-dignified. The rough era is passing and you are going to make it. The old trifling jerks and bad situations no longer have the power to drag you down.

You put regret in its proper place this week and use it as a learning tool instead of beating yourself up unnecessarily or vainly telling yourself "I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken." Regret is powerful when you treat it right. You can avoid lots of drama.

You or someone close to you would do well to be careful this week about health, wellness, and ordinary precautions that are easy to lose track of. For the You position, you drew Huath or Obstacles. When Huath is ill-dignified, it means you're in danger of committing an overreach, trying to force an outcome, or generally applying too much willpower bull in a china shop style. On the other side of imbalance, it can mean running away when you need to stand up and fight.
For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense. There will be a reason to draw up your defenses, hopefully not physical ones. Try to reasonably assess risks. Understand that acting too harshly in defense is unhelpful and counterproductive, for instance the paranoid health freak who ends up jogging herself into anorexia, or my pet example of the family who moves to the suburbs "for the kids" and ends up in a car accident because there is almost no such thing as a walkable suburb.
For the Outcome, you drew Koad or Grove ill-dignified, which points to some matters being out of your control but others caused by you and therefore within your ability to change. Overall, look at all the factors this (crappy) week and be very specific about what you are culpable for and what you are not.
For Question 2 about O.E., they provide Coll or Wisdom ill-dignified. The Ogham seem to think you are unmatched intellectually with O.E. and that will be the primary reason it won't work out.
For Question 3, they don't think it's a good idea to bail on the shows. They provide Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified, meaning that it's not an appropriate time to give up on that part of yourself.

Perhaps you or your dependent is a bit of a spendthrift or its opposite, parsimonious and always fretting about a rainy day. I think the Ogham are saying it's OK to relax a bit but don't go crazy with it. Neither should you go all Scrooge McDuck nor should you build the deluxe solar heated in-ground pool. There is a balance to be had and I'm going to guess it involves moderate amounts of relaxation, beer, (if that's your thing) and laughs.
For the Situation, they provide Ioho or Grace ill-dignified. You are still letting go of an old modality that needs to be left behind. There may be a tendency to overwork or to be overworked. It is possible those close to you are the ones not letting go of old ways of life.
For the Outcome, you drew Saille or Sensitivity. When ill-dig, it means there is a need to let go of psychological and physical baggage. The material often reflects the mental state. On the opposite side, there could be a lack of compassion or sensitivity necessary or brittleness in not being able to move with the time and the situation.

The psychology of previous investment may be at play, so be aware so you can extricate yourself from a rut or at the very least, stop digging the hole. I often draw it when my finances are thin. Another possibility is that you are chasing the wrong thing/person/goal and the Ogham are trying to get you to consider it.
For the Situation, you drew Ngetal or Hygiene ill-dignified. Ngetal can easily refer to health, and in Situation it also affects those around you or comes from those around you. Take extra health precautions, but don't go overboard into the opposite imbalance, which involves the other extreme of chasing a "perfect" diet or appearance or puts faith in miracle cures.
For the Outcome, you drew Fearn or Bridge well-dignified. You will find you have someone to lean on this week, though the Ogham are not sharing with me if the mentor is human or non-corporeal and divine. This good karma you have earned because you have lended a helping hand to others in the past.

You are prepared mentally for their crap and that's no small thing: you can deflect a great deal of their projection by keeping your expectations low. Personally, when I have dealt with difficult people, refusing to react and keeping a perfectly calm poker face tends to work very well.
For the Situation, you drew Nuin or Communication well-dignified. Knowing your way around technology helps you during your trip, and the world of strangers is helpful as well. Deflecting their dissonance with humor (and maintaining your sense of humor at all times) will be a potent defense.

Date: 2022-07-26 02:59 am (UTC)Regarding the job, it's at a startup I recently found that a friend of mine is doing trying to build wood powered steam engines to as an alternative to diesel, e.g. for tractors. So in theory as oil becomes less available this will become better by comparison.
And regarding the young lady, it's good to get a reinforcement of my own divination's and understanding. We're both Virgo sun (conjunct) and she's Virgo Venus too. Virgo's definitely appreciate health and like to think things through before committing!
So I'll continue with slowly and steadily waiting for friendship to evolve into more. My Venus is in Leo and moon in Pisces so patience is annoying, oh well.
The fitness tip is helpful, I'll continue trying to incrementally improve that.
Did you get any idea of a timescale? I'm hoping I'll get a confirmation before the end of the year that I'm not the only one thinking of something more! (Saturn in my 7th, these things go slow)

We have a relationship with one such specialist, but the one that went south was the new one the pediatrician had referred our baby to. Maybe we should quit trying with this doc and take the baby to the one we already know and like. I spent Monday pushing the new practice and not the old. Hmm...
Before I saw this we ended up getting a new appointment with this practice's other office. I guess we'll see what happens.

The schedule we were told our child needed has not happened and probably will not. It's frustrating to be told "Your child needs this appointment within 2 months" and that not happen (that deadline arrives next week). I should probably chill out about both things (the necessity of this exact schedule and their ability to provide it).
Meanwhile...
A while back I read a doctor's book about malpractice cases he'd been an expert witness in.
The mistake that led to Monday's situation *is* something I could've noticed too. And the office blamed me for it and I apologized. And I will try harder to catch such mistakes in the future, since when they happen, it's the patient who lives with the consequences.
But...it's the same mistake that features in one of the cases in that book. It's something that maybe the patient / patient's parent *could* catch, but is really the doctor's office's responsibility to catch--well, according to the court in the case in the book, anyway.
(We're just lucky the consequences were nowhere near as bad for us as for the case in the book!)
