I have another trip overseas coming up, how will it go? Will It take more than a month?

Is the plan I have for the farm possible without taking on debt?

Hi Anon,

My Ogham have four answers for you.

To your first question, they provide Onn or Community ill-dignified. Since Onn concerns people who you know on an acquaintance or friendly level such as co-workers, it does not bode well. They are saying you'll have trouble with acquaintances and that those people may be particularly asinine and unwilling to be helpful or fulfill their roles/bargains.

My Ogham seem to think the next overseas trip will last longer than a month. They provide Gort or Perseverance well-dignified, so be prepared to persevere through the next trip.

For the question, "Is the plan for the farm possible without taking on debt?" They provide Coll or Wisdom well-dignified. That's a yes, but with the caveat that you'll have to put in a great deal of steady, hard work to achieve that goal.

For the final question, "Will I find a trustworthy administrator by trip's end?" My Ogham do not think so. They provide Tinne or Defense ill-dignified, meaning that trust will be a difficult thing to come by in the current circumstances.

My Ogham give you three cards this week.

For the You card, they provide Tinne or Defense well-dignified. Your worries are appropriate this week: neither unfounded nor insufficient. Too many people make worry into a pastime: the root of this is a lack of (discursive) meditation on the roots of your worries. Since your defenses are balanced this week, it's a good week to look at what you tend to be preoccupied with and save that knowledge for a less-than-balanced week in the future.

For the Situation, they provide Luis or Protection ill-dignified. Though it seems you are well-settled, there will be threats coming at you or at someone near and dear to you from the outside world this week. Take care not to overreact or to become paranoid, as this often worsens the problem it is meant to solve.

For the Outcome, you drew Uilleand or Generosity ill-dignified. Beware of smothering influence, whether it comes out of you going towards someone else or from someone else onto you. Also, be wary of the tendency to take the good things, situations, and people for granted because of a pissy mood or some drama elsewhere in your life.

For the You card, you drew Nuin or Communication ill-dignified. This signifies some unpleasantness from the world of strangers. It can also mean that you feel like withdrawing and doing the hermit thing when you have no time or place for it or the opposite, feeling that you're "all dressed up with no place to go".

For the Situation, you drew Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified. Huath talks about wanting to force a solution or an outcome when doing so will break it or simply not work. It can also be talking about an opposite imbalance of lacking fire energy; one of those weeks where you feel like a wet rag. If this is the case, I suggest praying to a war god such as Ares and of course doing discursive meditation on your own levels of fire and how fire energy shapes your life. I myself tend to be extremely fiery, which is not necessarily good. It all depends on whatever I'm going through at the time.

For the Outcome, you drew Mór or Sea Change well-dignified. Factors beyond your control go your way this week, and that is a rising tide that can lift your ship now that you have been made aware of it. It's a good week to investigate opportunities and avenues that aren't possible if you're not having a lucky streak.

Blessings to you. A general question about embarking on magical training. Should I make a start? Or is it best left to others? I read with interest your posts recently about spirits of the land, because I have felt something very extraordinary since moving to my current home 4 years ago, and it feels as if something is being woken up in me. Should I act on it?

My Ogham seem to think you should take up actual ritual magic. They provide Straif or Resilience well-dignified to the question "Should Miow begin studying ritual magic?" Straif indicates there will be strife -- in my case, upon taking up Druidry in the form of the Druid Magic Handbook, I ended up rescuing my aunt's two cats and a baby tree (not at the same time, thank goodness) as a form of karmic culmination. So be prepared for some kind of personal test once you begin magical practices would be my advice. What form that will take is anyone's guess.

I asked what your biggest challenge would be when studying magic and they said Tinne or Defense. That indicates that you are like I was, largely undefended against astral attacks. A daily banishing ritual as part of a ritual magic system will be of great help to you.

If it is unfavourable would the Ogham advise abandoning thoughts of B?

You phrased your questions well so thanks for that.

My Ogham think you shouldn't move to B this year, however, you need to keep thinking about it and don't abandon your ruminations concerning it. You should definitely ask about it in the future.

For moving to B this year, they specifically gave you Nuin or Communication ill-dignified. Bluntly, B is too "strange" at this point and you need to get to know it better. Maybe go there on a visit, talk to lots of people who live there, and even reach out to strangers who know a thing or two about it.

For "abandoning thoughts of B" they give you Coll or Wisdom ill-dignified. The Ogham want you to think long and hard why you want to move to B. What are your real motivations under the surface? Once you have given those reasons some deep thought, the Ogham think you should ask again about moving to B.

Ukraine

My Ogham don't feel like doing a reading on the Ukraine at this time. They provide Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. For the record, they predicted last week that Russia would win. Unfortunately for Ukraine, Michael Hughes has thrown his hat into the ring and has pieced together another one of his high school poetry slam Frankenhexes. This time he's targeting Putin. His record of failure after failure speaks for itself, so if you want Ukraine to win, pray for them to be blessed and steer clear of anything even remotely Hughes-like in thought or action.

This month isn't too shabby for you, all things considered.

For the You position, they give Mór or Sea Change well-dignified. You have a bit of good luck this month. It's pure luck in the sense that it would be there with or without you, but being made aware of it means you can take advantage of it.

For the Situation position, you drew Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified. A force from the outside gets belligerent and you'll have to handle it. Another possibility here is not wanting to deal with a hassle that you really have no choice but to process. Just do your best with it is the Ogham's advice.

Hello, a while back I asked about an unorthodox strategy to deal with an impending vax mandate from my employer. The response was Defense Ill Dignified. I did more research, after fortuitously discovering a local group that has been fighting employer mandates and supplying workers with documents and guidance on how to proceed with their own situations to get the best outcome possible for their own situations.

Does the route offered via this new route offer a better option to get one among several of my possible desirable outcomes?

Unfortunately, no, it does not offer what you want, however, don't give up. You got Tinne or Defense ill-dignified AGAIN, which means your employer is going to worry this issue like a dog worries a bone. Lots of people in my Speakeasy group are dealing with similar situations. Many have had to walk away not just from jobs but careers and livelihoods over this. I wish you the best of luck.

I recently received criticism from a person in my life who thinks that I'm selfish, unkind, unreflective and just a "taker" in general. In my opinion, that doesn't really add up, but I know how easy it is for self-deception to be a problem, especially if it involves aspects of ourselves that are our shadow. Is this legitimate criticism that I should take to heart?

My Ogham seem to think the answer is Yes, the criticism is at least partially legitimate. They provide Straif or Strife well-dignified, which tells me they think you can handle constructive criticism. It's a good time to look at how you have acted as an opportunist in the past. Have you ever had to step on someone else to get where you are or to get something you want? I know I have done it and there are many times I've had to acknowledge what I took to understand why I don't do that anymore.

I asked the Ogham a second question: Is the person calling Tamanous a "taker" projecting the shadow? The Ogham say Yes. They provide Onn or Community well-dignified, indicating that this person doesn't do a great job of thinking for herself or himself. This person's thoughts are more of a product of what nearby influences tell her or him to think than well-thought out philosophies.

Thank you for doing this. This is my first time posting here but I've followed you posting on Ecosophia and really appreciate the information you share. We seem to be like minded on several things - and I'm sure opposed in others. Anyways...

I currently run a business and am thinking about adding personnel and expanding the business. Given the uncertainty ahead I would like to ask the Ogham if this is a good idea to do now or if I should wait. For simplicity's sake let's just ask if now is a good time to hire more people.

You're welcome... happy to be of service. My Ogham say Yes, you should both add personnel and expand your business. They provide Onn or Community, which is pretty much the card for employee relationships. My Ogham think it's an auspicious time to hire more employees and to expand your business. If you can put your ads out on a Thursday or a Friday during a waxing moon, it's good magical timing. If you want to get super technical, publishing them during the planetary hour of Jupiter, Venus, or the Moon will add extra magical potency, but anytime on those days will suffice. Good luck!

May I ask two questions? If only one is allowed, then please go with the one about the job (unless the other feels more important to you...i suspect you are better able to sense such things than I)
(1) I am currently taking music lessons from a teacher who is an excellent musician, but suffers from emotional issues (to put it mildly). Today she proceeded to dump on me every complaint about wrongs done to her for her entire life. I very much wanted to point out that I’m her student, not her therapist, but instead apologized (once she finally told me what she wanted to hear). I am trying to decide if continuing to work with her, and the walking on eggshells that is required, is worth it.
(2) there is a small but nonzero chance I will be relocating soon due to work. Would this be good for me and for the company.

I'm a professional music teacher and it's absolutely uncalled for when a teacher unloads her psychological baggage on a student. I have taught for 25 years. There isn't time during a lesson to have so much talk about life, the universe, and everything. My Ogham seem to think you should keep her -- they give Ailm or Transcendence -- but I strongly disagree with them. If she wants to be your friend, that's a different relationship. When the rare student of mine becomes a friend, we have our lesson and then later we go out for a meal and talk our hearts out over tea, bread, and soup. Lesson time is sacred. We only do music during lesson time. If she wants you to be her counselor, then maybe she should be paying you. It's all too common that good musical performers make lousy teachers. Please find a music instructor who won't waste your lesson time with psychological garbage and manipulation. You deserve better.

To your work questions, my Ogham don't think it would be good for you if you relocate. They give Beith or Birth ill-dignified, meaning it would not be easy to begin in a new place at all. They do say it would be good for the company though. They give Luis or Protection to answer that question, meaning the company would be making a good decision if they do the relocation scheme they've been considering.

My Ogham recommend cutting RB loose. They provide Luis or Protection ill-dignified, meaning that RB is too costly where your business's reputation is concerned. There's a rule in business that 10% of your clients will cause 90% of your problems; I think that may apply here.

For A, they give Saille or Flexibility ill-dignified, which means that won't be the best solution because it will be harder to improvise as you go along, which you will need to do.

For B, they provide Eadha or Limits well-dignified, which means they like that one because it expands the limits of what you can do during the move.

For C, they think it will work out. They provide Koad or Confluence, which means that the hired party will do a good job and you can relax because of it.

Hey, Miss Lady Kimberly!

so i've been all day on substack because they have podcast abilities. now i know the Ogham, James, and i are all "meh" about podcast vs. live streaming, but it'll just be a way of getting back in the game after being out 11 years.

i chose substack because anywhere else i don't trust not getting kicked off and i read substack's bylaws and even if i get canned i can get my content back out unlike elsewhere.

in the meantime we'll see how it goes and then i can figure out how to get video good video because i'm hella vain if i'm gonna have to be seen even though i don't want to but Wolf (wolfstreet.com) said it'd show my soul and that's necessary because i scare everyone so ... this'll be the toe.

i saw cartoonists on there so it doesn't seem as boring if i can put art, too.

i looove the idea about house concerts. and you don't need rich people with big houses! oh no! some fans of mine with a small ranch house and a tiny pool did a whole tiki barbecue with a small party of people and it was sooo fun and i've been in back yards.

we may have to take over parking lots a la hip hop breakdancing beginnings... make the ugly beautiful by taking over an ignored space... just trying to incite ideas because everything's illegal now.
