A few years ago I found a clip on YouTube where Dick Clark has a very short interview with Madonna. He asked what her plans were for the future, for 1984 (this clip is from 1983) and she said, "To rule the world." I found that a bit creepy. But that's a common phrase for many young adults, so maybe I'm just putting too much into it.
