Hi Anon,

This week, they give me three cards for you.

The first tree letter in the You or most immediate position is Gort, Bindweed or Ivy, ill-dignified. This means that you are being warned of extremes in one or more directions when it comes to the notion of Perseverance. For instance, too much perseverance could mean the Ogham are warning you of coming on too strong or being too pushy. The opposite imbalance would be the classic Elmer Milquetoast who doesn't get the girl because he's not bold enough about stating his feelings.

For the Situation position, which often talks about what you cannot directly control or major events in the lives of others around you, you drew Ur or Intimacy well-dignified. Ur is symbolized by Gorse in the old Ogham and Goldenrod in mine. For me, Ur is usually talking about my closest relationships: my husband, my cat, my parents and/or it is talking about keeping secrets. There can and should be limits to what you tell others. Learning how to keep a secret, including things you know about yourself that nobody else in the world knows, is one of the most powerful magical acts you can do.

For the final or Karma position, you drew Tinne or Defense (Holly or Eastern Cedar) ill-dignified. This means that your defenses are at risk. Because you also drew Gort ill-dignified, I would be on the lookout for a financial hit. Tinne also can mean physical health being in danger, so definitely take the slow and easy roads and practice good self-care this week.

I drew three cards for you this week.

In the You position, the card is Straif (Honey Locust) ill-dignified. Straif points to hardship and difficulty, but because it is ill-dignified, it could also mean things are too easy or that you don't get a whole lot done this week. Either way, the Ogham are saying try to strike a balance instead of A. Being too hard on yourself or B. Throwing in the towel too early.

In the Situation position, you drew Ur or Intimacy ill-dignified. This means your closest relations probably will have a setback this week, or that a negative influence could come knocking from the outside. For me, Ur being ill-dignified often means I reveal too much about myself... unless the Ogham warn me! The Ogham are trying to give you a hidden advantage.

For the final Karma position, you drew Onn or Community well-dignified. This means your community -- family, friends, townspeople, members of groups you are in, will be your rock this week. For me, Onn being well-dignified means my latent socialite impulses are coming out or I manage to say the right thing at the right time.

For your You position, you got Koad or Grove, which means there is an opportunity to take a bird's eye view of your current karma. The Ogham suggest you look at the things which you can and cannot control and pinpoint your mental, spiritual, and physical state for intense examination this week.

For the Situation position, you got Luis or Protection well-dignified. Right now, you are being protected by either your higher self or a god or both, and that is what is keeping the s**tstorm at bay.

This week, your reading is a unique one. All of your cards were well-dignified and two out of three were the Ogham equivalent of tarot trumps (the Forfedha), so I would say it will be an epic week for you.

Hi Kim,

For this week, I'd like to ask the ogham, "What potential side gig/work opportunities should I look for to reach my financial goals this year?"

I'm looking to get out of student loan debt over the long term and get a 3 to 6 month cash reserve for the short term. Currently I'm doing some delivery work and blood donation on the side, outside of my career work, but I'm curious if there are better options I may be blind to at the moment.

Hi Tamanous,

The Ogham give me Ngetal or Hygiene, well-dignified. Hmmm. This could mean a lot of things. The first thing that springs to mind for me is teaching a banishing ritual or discursive meditation via group classes locally and online. One idea I had for a business that you are welcome to take as I'll never do anything with it is going to people's homes and doing hoodoo floor washes or vacuums. Personally, if I had time to act on such an idea, I would charge a tidy $150 to hoodoo floor wash a two bedroom apartment. It could mean that you might search the want ads for janitor jobs. Lots of possibilities. I always have a million ideas I cannot use, so PM me if you want to brainstorm about it.

Related to Kimberly's idea about hoodoo washes, my friend EG (mentioned below, actually!) does a ton of side gigs and one of her most lucrative is cleaning out people's houses who are getting ready to sell. She does this a lot for people downsizing or moving into retirement homes. One of the key services is that she doesn't just dump everything--she finds ways to recycle as much as possible, donate or rehome items, keeping stuff out of landfills. If you know any realtors, that can be a good way to spread the word about your services. A lot of times older people can't manage the work of going through everything--emotionally or physically--and their adult children often don't want to or don't have the time.

That's a very interesting idea as well! My area has quite a few retirees and I haven't heard of people offering that type of service before. I appreciate the advice and my best wishes in regards to your friend and the vaccine issue. It's tough out there being a hold out when friends, family and jobs are all pressuring you in one way or another.

My Ogham are all in on telling EG the truth. They give me Ruis or Regret (Black Walnut) for telling EG in person. Since it is well-dignified, Ruis means the benefits of regret. Think of how many times "knowing better" or having been around that block before has saved your butt and you will know the good side of Ruis.

In writing they give me Quert (Apple) or Delight. They are saying that writing would be equally good to in person because it gives you lots of time to think over exactly what you want to say. That's the plus about old-fashioned methods.

Thank you, this is very helpful. I wanted a second opinion/confirmation to my rune drawings, which were along the lines of "short term happiness from being deceitful, long term benefits from being honest" aka "just tell the darn truth." EG is the admin assistant in my office and the one coworker who is also a friend outside of work. She's also the only coworker who knows about my vaccination status. She finally decided to get vaccinated and is asking me if I have changed my mind... Based on knowing her as a friend, I would tell her the truth with no qualms. It's just the concern about telling someone who is also a coworker that had me holding back; especially since the big boss (to whom EG is the assistant) is a vaccine fanatic.

You're welcome! It sounds like a tough situation. The vaccine is incredibly scary -- I mean it when I say I would rather die by firing squad than get it. At least death by firing squad is quick. The guy who discovered HIV and won the Nobel Prize for it, Luc Montagnier, says that people who have had the vaccine will probably have immune system breakdowns when exposed to common flu viruses in flu season. The people pushing vaccines should be held accountable for war crimes, in my opinion.

Yeah, I am so frustrated that they approved it for 12-15 year olds. It makes me sick to my stomach to see people flaunting how they immediately signed their kid up for their "jab." If adults want to experiment on themselves, have at it. But kids? Ugh. And my daughter (13, almost 14) is facing really intense peer pressure about getting the vaccine. Which is insane; I never in a million years would have thought one day I'd have to help my kid navigate peer pressure about shots!

My husband did end up getting the vaccine but my divinations strongly indicated he should get Pfizer rather than Moderna. I'm not sure why that would be the case, but I'm following closely to see if one ends up having more issues than the other down the road.

If I recall Kim, JMG was fairly concerned with how the US's 6th house was looking, potentially indicative of a health crisis. Not sure if it'll be the vaccine related issues rising to the fore, a new "variant" that gives govt the incentive to relockdown or something from left field.

On the other hand, recent media on the lab leak being a potential origination and Fauci being thrown under the bus seem like the elites are initiating damage control at the moment.

This week, for the You position, you drew Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified. This points to some kind of pain in the @$$ that you have to deal with that you'll either be tempted to blunder through or will want to just throw in the towel on. They are saying that you'll have to put your thinking cap on and try to be as aware as possible of the best solution.

For the Situation position, they give me Straif or Hardship well-dignified, which says that which does not kill you makes you stronger. This might be a week to divide the rhubarb or clear out the junk pile, that sort of thing.

For the Karma or Outcome, they give me Eadha or Limits well-dignified. You will know your boundaries as well as the limits of the world you have to work with this week and that is good as well as powerful.

This week you drew three well-dignified cards. From my experience, it does not mean everything will come up roses, however, what does come up, you will handle with grace and aplomb, or at least that's what my Ogham think.

This week, in the You position, you drew Saille or Sensitivity/Flexibility well-dignified. This is a card of saying the right thing at the right time and more importantly NOT saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. This also shows a willingness on your part to set decent boundaries without being too much of a stick in the mud.

For the Situation position, they give me Huath or Obstacles, which is to say you or someone close to you will have to deal with one of life's roadblocks this week. Because it is well-dignified, it implies the situation will be handled in the best way possible.

For the final Karma or Outcome position, they give me Straif or Strife, which is the card of an ugly but needed truth. What does not kill you will make you stronger. They are suggesting to be brave in both Huath and Straif.
