Hello Kimberly,
I have in mind some questions related to my local lodges. I'm not a freemason, but JMG made me reconsider my prior decision to not join one. I'd like to ask Ogham some help to pick the best option or stay away from them. I guess asking a question for each lodge, something like "what would be the outcome of joining X lodge?", and "Would be a better idea to not join any of those five?"
The lodges in my town are:
1. Estrella de Magallanes
2. Strait of Magellan
3. Aurora Polar
4. Cabo de Hornos
5. Hain

Update:

On Sunday, my elderly parents both got their second dose of the Moderna vaccine.

On Monday, I asked you about my week, my path and Thor. Your Ogham predicted a bad week and suggested prayers to Thor, which I began on Tuesday.

Also on Monday (I later learned), my parents had the expected "day of feeling awful." But while my dad then began feeling better, my mom kept feeling worse. She became more and more confused, and had difficulty with motor planning.

On Thursday, my mom fell. She was so weak that two friends, a neighbor, and my dad working together couldn't get her off the floor and they had to call the paramedics. No injuries from the fall though.

On Friday she remained confused. I thought it was interesting that when we put her symptoms, and that she's had the Moderna vaccine, into WebMD, possibility #4 was the rare type of blood clot (CVST) that so far is associated only with the AstraZeneca (and, I saw in one article, also maybe the Pfizer) vaccine. I wouldn't be surprised if it's really just associated with the spike protein in general. Dad and I were very concerned, but she refused to go to the ER to get checked out. (Maybe she was right since vaccine-related CVST seems to be worsened by the heparin treatment they seem to normally use on clots.)

She has since seemed to improve, but planned to see the doctor today.

It's interesting that her fall happened on Thor's day.

My parents and I have drifted apart politically since 2010 or so. I haven't tried very hard to dissuade them from things like the vaccine. I have been unsure what I want to do myself, never mind what I think they should do! In the end people have their bodily autonomy...I don't know. I'll have to keep thinking about this.

I have kept up the prayer and it has continued to tend to result in dizziness.

So, my question:

What's up this week?

I'm not exactly sure how to phrase this... my parents are going through a rough time and have been for the past several years (major health issues, their insane siblings becoming more insane due to COVID, challenges with their aging parents/my grandparents). Should I be doing something more to help than I already have been? Any insights on how I could help?

Duir, Gifts, White Oak, and Doorway

Thank you again for that epic reading last week! I have it memorized and am studying it closely. My question this week relates to your drawing Duir:

For the Situation position, they give you Duir, Gifts (White Oak) which also means Doorway. You are crossing over into their "land", so to speak, and they'll be using you to spread their gifts to those who need them. This one also says that as the recipient of gifts, your duty will be to pay them forward.

My question is what can I do to prepare for this? I want to be in the right place at the right time, and to have done my homework! Alternatively, this could be a "wait and pay attention" thing, but I figure it's worth it to ask.

2) For my apartment hunting, I did not get the apartment I was looking at, but the company which offered it has other apartments which look promising. Is Brigil a good company for me to rent from? I'm not asking about any particular apartment, but are they a good place to look, or would I be better off looking elsewhere?

Hi Lady CK,

My Ogham say you are going to have a pretty good week, all things considered. All three cards were well dignified.

For the You position, they give me Ailm (Elm) or Transcendence, which means you will have a genuine moment of knowing you can handle what life throws at you this week.

For the Situation position, and this remember is the card of outside influences and other people, you have Luis (Maple) or Protection. Luis often signals the presence of your Holy Guardian Angel. The right amount of protection can feel like a lucky streak, but it isn't just plain luck, it is actual protection from a guardian spirit and/or a series of good decisions that lead to a protected status.

For the final Outcome position, you drew Onn which means Community. Community means people outside your inner circle. This week, your community falls into balance. You will strike the right chord where your outer circle is concerned.

My Ogham say No, and they say it fairly emphatically. They give me Huath or Obstacles (American Sycamore) ill-dignified. This means that they think CGD is wrong for you and they strongly recommend a different path.

They say you will renew your lease this fall. They give me Coll (Burr Oak) well-dignified when I ask that question. Coll means Wisdom, so it seems they are saying it would be wise to renew your lease.

Thanks for the feedback! Sometimes inaccuracies are because of me being flawed, not them, so when you receive a reading that doesn't jibe, please check out my website at http://druidogham.wordpress.com to see if it is more accurate.

For this week, they give me Koad (Grove) in the You position, which means you will feel like you are living out the destiny of factors put into play long ago. Koad is a card of karmic culmination, so whether that karma is good, bad, or somewhere in between is entirely an individual matter.

For the middle position, they give me Coll (Burr Oak) or Wisdom ill-dignified. The middle position is a Situation area and often refers to someone else or someone else's influence on you. Coll means that someone might royally put their foot in their mouth, and if that's you, you can prevent such a fate by keeping silent and if it's someone else, you'll know it is going to happen ahead of time. Coll ill-dignified can also mean the feeling of not knowing enough information and being frustrated about it.

For the Outcome, they give me Muin (Nightshade) or Harvest ill-dignified. This means that you might be tempted to push an outcome you want too early, that you could be forcing your will, or that you suffer a lack of fortitude to "get to the end".

Hi Edu,

For whatever reason, when I ask "Should he join a lodge?" They say No, and they give me Ailm or Transcendence ill-dignified in response.

Nevertheless, this is the outcome for joining each lodge:

1. Estrella de Magallanes. They give me Eadha, or Limits ill-dignified. This is to say this one will feature an imbalance of limits.

2. Strait of Magellan. They give me Ruis, or Regret ill-dignified. Another doozy. Joining it causes regret, and not in the positive sense.

3. Aurora Polar. Luis, ill-dignified. Luis means Protection and Protection would be compromised by joining Aurora Polar.

4. Cabo de Hornos. Mór or Change. Joining this one causes great change, and whether that is for good or bad is undetermined.

5. Hain. This was the only truly OK one, so if you go for a lodge, I'd pick this one. This one is Tinne or Defense and it is well-dignified.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It must be awful. Thank you for the feedback on last week's reading.

For this week, they give me three cards.

For the first position, they give me Tinne (Eastern Cedar) or Defense. This is to say that your prayers are working and they are acting to defend you... unfortunately, the karma of others, otherwise known as the outcome of their decisions, isn't something you can control.

For the middle position, or the Situation that often refers to other people, they give me Huath well-dignified. Huath means Obstacles, specifically obstacles of the type you cannot evade. The only way out is through.

For the final position, they give me Muin or Harvest ill-dignified. This points to a bad harvest or a seed that is not yet developed. When ill-dignified, it can indicate an overreaction of being too stringent: meaning you try to control all the anxieties in your life by cutting out every pleasure and disciplining yourself too much, and/or you drown your sorrows with an excess of whatever floats your cork: alcohol, shopping, eating. They're essentially suggesting you blow off some steam this week, but exercise moderation. Happy medium of relaxation for the win!

I did a three card reading for you on this one.

I asked three questions:

What should LP be doing for LP? They said Fearn (Alder) or Bridge. Fearn means looking to the gods for help as well as looking at good decisions you've made in your own past. They are telling me you need to meditate on the good things you've done in the past this week to figure out what to do in the future.

Can LP do anything more that they haven't already done for their parents? They say No and they give me Nuin or Communication ill-dignified. In this position, this seems to say your parents and their siblings are easy prey for the mainstream media and its nefarious agendas. The reason I say this is it is that it normally indicates communication from far away strangers and the media ticks that box. There isn't anything you can do, nor should you feel responsible.

For the Outcome, they give me Ngetal or Hygiene. They say that keeping it clean is the best strategy. When Ngetal is talking about physical health, it indicates a robust immune system. Though I shouldn't have to say this, the only way to maintain a healthy immune system is to expose oneself to pathogens, i.e. other humans in close proximity, on a regular basis. Ngetal often talks of being spiritually and mentally clean, and I think this is what it is getting at in your case in this particular reading.

They give me Beith, well-dignified. Beith means Beginnings and is symbolized by the Birch tree. I personally associate it with Brigid. This seems to say you'll need to be brave and think well outside the box. Beith indicates forging one's own path, to the extreme if necessary.

Brigil is a good one. When I say, "Will Brigil help find a good apartment?" They say Yes, and they give me Mór or Change well-dignified. Brigil can help you make a big change for the better.

My Ogham say No. They give me Phagos, ill-dignified. Phagos means Teaching. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. Remember this is just the Ogham's opinion... it's not even my opinion. It's the "whatever entity is being channeled by the Ogham"'s opinion.

Thanks for your feedback! This week, for the You position, you drew Eadha well-dignified. Eadha means Limits and drawing it well-dignified means that you'll understand the power of limits enough this week to make good use of that power.

For the middle or Situation position, they give me Oír, which means Epiphany. Oír can mean a few things. It might mean having that sudden burst of inspiration that allows you to go quietly around the stupid people. It could mean that you realize how much of a jerk you were in some past episode so you can finally get closure (not necessarily pleasant). Those are just two random examples; I'm not sure what epiphany you will have. It is in the Situation position, so this epiphany could be happening to someone close to you.

For the Outcome position, you drew Koad which means Grove. Like it or not, you will have to truly focus on yourself sometime this week. It really is about you, at least this week it is, and the two Forfedha (Oír is the other one) indicate a round of karmic culmination for you this week. It's too complicated and personal to you for me to know whether it will be good or bad. When I draw Forfedha for myself, it's always too deep to say it's entirely positive or negative.

They say it may be rough sailing. They give me Ruis or Regret ill-dignified, which is almost always (in my case) a warning not to prattle on and give out information other people do not need to know. Definitely plan on getting there with plenty of time to spare, pack a just-in-case lunch, and I'd even wear a dark color so if you squirt ketchup on your shirt, it's not noticeable. And maybe wear a protection amulet. Best of luck!

The problem I have with Sufi things is it’s still Abrahamic and I’ve got many problems with those flavors of religion.

I’m getting pressure from my friend to take this class and I’ve got doubts about it. The Ogham spirits are taking care of me today! Thanks for consulting them for me.

Fascinating! I know almost nothing about Sufism myself. I'm with you -- Abrahamic religions of any type are deeply problematic for me. It's truly oil and water. We don't mix. I hope your friend accepts your decision gracefully.

They give me two cards for this. One is Saille, ill-dignified. Saille means sensitivity and out of dignity means that you'll have sensitivity issues no matter what Path you go down, most likely you'll have trouble sensing when gods and spirits are trying to talk to you at first. Nevertheless, they think you should go the Druidry route starting with the DMH. I asked if you should go through the Druid books. They give me Nuin, which means Communication well-dignified, a Yes. The tree I assign to this is the Gingko Biloba, an oddball tree that survived from the Paleolithic era. I think what they are trying to say is that Druidry will be better for you because it is extremely flexible and malleable.

I am well, thanks! I heard the cherry trees in Japan bloomed early this year -- the earliest time in 1200 years... is that true?

For the You position, you got Phagos, which means Teaching and is symbolized by the Beech tree. This week you'll be counted upon for your expertise. This can often mean you'll be needed for your prowess in an academic subject but it can also mean being called upon for an emotional reason: for instance, someone who has profound social intelligence might be needed to give friendship advice.

For the Situation position, you got Fearn, which means Bridge and is symbolized by the Alder. You are in a time of transition. The gods are saying they have your back and will help you make the shift you need to make.

For the final card, which is karmic in nature, you got Ur or Intimacy. In the old Ogham the plant for Ur is Heather; in my Midwestern Ogham it is Goldenrod. You have good bonds with someone or several beings around you. These beings are not necessarily corporeal but they could be. You are able to say the right thing at the right time this week.

Yes, the cherry blossom season seems to be starting earlier and earlier. It used to be that the joining school ceremony (today actually) was at the height of full bloom, but already now the flowers are beginning to fall off and are being replaced by green leaves. This year Tokyo the flowers first opened on March 14 and reached full flower March 22. Wonderful, but still too early. Now we just need a good storm and there will be flower petals in the streets everywhere (until a little after full bloom they are resistant to the winds and rain, but later come off easily).

They are really nutty here about the cherry blossoms, and it is really infectious (in a good way). I look forward to this season each year for "hanami" cherry blossom viewing parties, which is a really good excuse to go out to the park, have a picnic, and be merry with your friends, and the passers by!
Well next year maybe, we'll see.

Surprising, Kimberly. Not because the answers of Ogham, since they are entirely coherent with prior divinations casted years ago. As a fact, Ogham was even more astringent than those previous divinations. It surprises me because it opposes the positive ideas about lodges I'm hearing among Ecosophians. Thank you.

There are several local music teachers associations in my area and I used to be a member of one -- though there were good things about it, I ended up quitting it and I had to force the issue as I was quite embedded. Music teacher's associations are definitely a good thing, but they're not a good thing for me personally. I found myself being used and abused by the association I was part of for the better part of ten years. Though I found more allies than enemies at my local association, the enemies I made were extremely annoying and posed danger because they were (are?) small-minded, slanderous, lazy people who thought of themselves as superior because they were older and richer than me.

Those three were actually very helpful this week. Not so much specific 'hits' as priming the thought processes.

We were trying to sell my brother's house in California. Got asking price +$28,000! On an all cash, as is deal.

Number 1 spot on. Number 2 kept me awake as to what was being said by everyone. Number 3 a reminder that there is no point in getting the last possible dollar if you don't finish the deal.
