Wow! My area Ogham would need spruce and chestnut for sure, though likely not as many alterations from the original.
For what it's worth, whenever I meditate on what Central Europe's equivalent of the Johnny Appleseed poem working could be, I get immediately transported to an old-growth forest and just stay there. This has happened several times, every time. It's so consistent it happens as soon as I close my eyes. It's awesome, but I don't know what it means!
