There's a really good meme that says "I wanted AI to do the dishes while I created art, not to create art while I do the dishes." Of course the left-brained, mouse-find-cheese computer programmers responsible for AI could not manage a robot that can do pragmatic tasks. They're not pragmatists.

I had a good response on my Substack from a guy that used AI to learn HVAC systems so he could get his certification in it. He was the first person I had heard of who actually used it for something useful. Also, it was good for tracing the money trail when DOGE got sicced on the NGOs.

My mom's 15 year old Windows PC recently gave me the Blue Screen of Death. I still have not fixed it and probably won't be able to, but I did do some command line things that brought up ancient memories of the 80s when we booted our desktop leviathans off of floppy disks. Computers will probably go back to that state someday -- people texting/emailing on local intranets once satellite communication becomes too expensive.

"I asked an LLM to summarise 6 scientific papers for a literature review and it produced such garbage that a lazy 15 year old would (or certainly should) have been ashamed by it." That sounds about right. There's a content creator on Substack who writes brilliant, insightful book reviews, but unfortunately he writes obvious AI slop as filler between those posts the other 75% of the time. Lots of single-sentence paragraphs, bolded text, and italics.

Yes, the hideous AI "stink". Pinterest is absolutely glutted with AI images of fake rooms and fake people. I especially hate the cabinets with three or four knobs a piece and houseplants at the edge of the countertop in the way of the sink. AI is so dumb.

That is fascinating . . . considering most of the internet is porn, I am surprised AI is not a great deal more pornographic. I wonder what will happen over time? Porn is clearly demonic; that's why the Ba'al worshipping set love making it and being in charge of it.

What is AI's hard on for bizarre and excessive punctuation? I wonder where it is getting that.

I think AI is of interest to the military types because they are the most fervent believers in the transhumanist fantasy world that AI represents. There is an unusually high number of trans and self-mutilating individuals in higher echelons of the US military.

The companies that employ AI to do jobs formerly run by humans are going to find out the hard way why you keep humans on the job. A great example of this is self-driving cars. Self driving cars have more than 2x the accident rates of human-driven cars. Let's say AI is put in charge of making M&Ms. A bird could fly into one of the machines, get partially ground up, and it is likely AI would never figure it out because it does not have eyes to see or ears to hear. Heaven knows what else could happen. Or perhaps because it gets infected with information that causes it to collapse, it won't turn on the machine at all because it does not know what to do.

Wow, I just looked up the Asahi building. That is truly unfortunate. It looks like a giant lost the top of his ice cream cone next to some oversized electronic circuits.
