Ogham Readings on Saturdays

I'm back from break!  It was very refreshing and productive and looking forward to reading for you all.

I am happy to read your Ogham free of charge -- that's how I hone my divination skills.  Please limit your reading request to four or fewer Ogham cards: though this can take many forms, here are some common ones (all of them are basically combos of 4 cards):

 

-a single three card reading for the week or month and a one-off, one card reading

-four questions about four separate items that require one answer (card) per item
-a one card reading to answer a specific question and a three card for a more nuanced question
-Two separate readings, two cards a piece exploring the positives and negatives of two different choices

 
I am happy to do Ogham readings confidentially via email -- just email me at k steele studio at gmail during the allotted time/before deadline.  I cannot answer health questions.  If you have a question about health or another sensitive, private matter, provide a bunch of non-identifying information and the Ogham will be able to figure it out even if I don't. I'm serious... the Ogham actually tend to "know" things without me being privy to what is going on.

Please note I take time off during Solstices and Equinoxes for Druid stuff and because sometimes I simply need a break. 

My next planned break is from October 23 - November 6.

I take reading requests from whenever this post goes up on Friday night until 8pm US Central Time Saturday.

Thanks, it was very nice.

For Method A, they provide Ruis or Regret ill-dignified. This method dredges up old memories and failures that need to be dealt with in meditation so they don't color readings in a negative way.

For Method B, they give Ngetal or Health well-dignified. This is well suited to your disposition and helps you to understand your own emotional state.

For Method C, they provide Phagos or Teaching ill-dignified. This method is a bit too esoteric and the information it provides will be easily misinterpreted.

For Method D, they give Onn or Community ill-dignified. This is not correct for your ecosystem of spirits, who would have to adapt to it along with you. It's not meant to be for you.

The Ogham are very clear that they believe Method B is vastly superior to the others. I hope this helps.

For the first card, the Ogham give Gort or Perseverance ill-dignified. Energy has been low and life has been getting in the way, interrupting at the worst possible moments with "needs". Modern existence is fraught with distractions and it is frustrating. It's OK to take a detour and it is OK to relax. The gods idea of development over time is much less hasty than ours.

For the second card, you drew Coll or Wisdom well-dignified. You've done a good job being discreet and not diluting your intention by spouting off about it. The intention is more powerful because of your self-discipline. You can see this one through if you keep going in the same style and spirit.

For the third card, you drew Huath or Obstacles ill-dignified. Huath is a danger card in my Ogham and when it is not talking about actual, physical danger, it is talking about an imbalance of Martial force. Too much Mars/Ares and you're unnecessarily belligerent, quick to jump to (usually bad) conclusions, decisions, and actions. Too little and you don't have the mojo you need to stand up for yourself and your loved ones, and work of any sort becomes an uphill battle.


For the fourth card, you drew Muin or Harvest well-dignified. Timing is everything -- patience and dedication pay off. You gain a feeling of true security, the sweetness of having worked for a reward and gotten it with honor. Earned wealth is the best kind, especially when you earn it and share it with loved ones and the community either directly or indirectly.

You drew three cards this week. All cards were well-dignified. Though I would love to claim this means a sunny week, it's not 100%, in fact, it is far from that. The all well-dig nature of the cards is more of a forecast hat you will handle nuisances and problems with maturity and good decisions.

For the You position, you drew Ruis or Regret. You've lived enough life at this point that you are recognizing patterns, including your own patterns, and you know how to avoid a great deal of trouble. Old memories may pop out of the woodwork, so it is your job to never allow the negative to live rent free in your head. Counter it with three positives: three points of gratitude, three opportunities to say Thank You, or three acknowledgements of what was done right.

For the Situation, you drew Tinne or Defense. Tinne is one of my Ogham's danger cards, so I will advise not to take part in any high risk behavior. Awareness of danger is great, but when it causes idle worry or overreaction, it can be bad as laying yourself bare in front of enemies. Worry in excess does not help your guides and local ecosystem help you, because worry does not allow us to live in the present.

For the Outcome, you drew Saille or Sensitivity. Your spidey sense is on and nothing gets past you. This is a good week to track psychic impressions in detail and analyze them in meditation because there is bound to be substance behind them. This is an excellent week to clear clutter and to try to communicate with your surroundings, including inanimate objects and places. Of course I am going to suggest sweeping the floor and cleaning the toilet every day.

This is interesting -- if you take the opportunity related to C, you would be unhappy with it and your spouse would be perfectly fine. In your own case, you drew Mór or Sea Change ill-dignified, which is to say it is going to feel like the wrong place, wrong time, and wrong person for you. For your spouse, however, they give Fearn or Bridge well-dignified, which indicates your spouse would be much happier than you with the result.

My Ogham think Level 2 is safe enough. They give Quert or Delight well-dignified, which means that Level 2 is secure and it leads to good feeling and comfort. It is a good adjustment.

The Ogham give you three cards.

For the You card, you drew Phagos or Teaching well-dignified. This shows both a willingness to do the hard work required to obtain knowledge and the good sense to shut up about it. The Divine always seems to favor humble, hard workers who don't complain and who play it close to the vest. It's a good idea to compare both the bad examples of others as well as not so positive examples from your own past so you can make the utmost use of the learning process.

For the Situation, you drew Straif or Resilience well-dignified. Your reserves are being tested, even the ones that have just been built, and they are steady and strong. Resilience is not something that comes from outside. The most paranoid of preppers with tons of money to put into a fortified mansion, MREs, and ammo is not better off than Mr. Average if Mr. Average has a balanced mind and Prepper does not.

For the Outcome, you drew Duir or Gifts ill-dignified. There is no truly bad side to Duir and at its absolute worst, it means you owe someone a thank you or that you need to acknowledge and appreciate your privileges more often. Duir is a reminder that gifts multiply by exponents when shared. Generous people, even poor ones who live in shacks and have next to nothing, are always happier than their miserly counterpart. Also, it is never too early nor too late to say Thank You.

The Ogham give you three cards for the remainder of July.

For the You position, they provide Koad or Confluence well-dignified. Overall, there is good fortune and good feelings for the rest of July, partly because of how you've designed the parts of your life you can actually control. This is not to say that trouble can be completely avoided, only that the predictions is you'll gain the upper hand in cases of trouble.

For the Situation, you drew Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified. There is the need to meditate upon and dissect an unpleasant matter, so the Ogham suggest doing this and not procrastinating. I often get this card when I have to deal with a financial issue or a problematic individual.

For the Outcome, you drew Ioho or Grace well-dignified. You know that it is time to let go, and it isn't just a matter of what no longer serves... if only it was that easy! It is time to let go of old self images, broken dreams, and charity towards people and things that are not worth your time. It's also a very good time to let go of excess possessions so they can sublimate and return to you as higher plane gifts. Waning moons are always good for this.

My Ogham are very direct about J's losing streak: they provide Huath or Obstacles well-dignified. J has the wherewithal and the mojo, but this intention and approach needs to go back to the drawing board. There are some immovable obstacles that Heaven and Earth cannot get around. Sometimes the forces put an insurmountable roadblock in our way that compel us to completely think outside of the box and to frame it as if we were not in the same Universe. What happens if you break the rules, forgo the game altogether, or do nothing at all?

For how to break the streak, they give Beith or Intention well-dignified. They are suggesting flipping the chessboard and starting over doing something entirely different, after protracted bouts of discursive meditation, of course.

For diminishing the stress of C's project, they give Luis or Protection ill-dignified, meaning that C is going to have to face the music of this on their own. The best thing you can do is to offer material comfort (if possible) and emotional support without much in the way of advice or assistance on the project itself. It's like when my husband is doing a construction project around our house. I can make him a hot meal or massage his aching feet, but there is not much I can help with when it comes to helping him figure out drills, hammers, nails, drywall, framing, etc.

For the You card, you drew Nuin or Communication well-dignified. You get your message across efficiently and gracefully to other people. The world of strangers brings blessings and connection -- if only it could always be this way! I think it reminds us that we have to focus on the positives of modern life so the negatives do not overwhelm us. The internet is like having a gigantic free library available 24/7.

For the Situation, you drew Beith or Intention well-dignified. You pare down distractions and keep your corner of the astral direct, no frills, and no nonsense this week. This is a very good week to look at some of your overarching life goals -- in my case, it's often only to be a better person than I was yesterday, if only by the slightest bit -- and to see what you can prune away so you have more energy for your brightest and dearest dreams.

For the Outcome, you drew Coll or Wisdom well-dignified. Even in good dignity, Coll warns us to shut up at the right time. Know when to stop talking and it will save you huge amounts of trouble and propel you to situations of great prosperity and happiness. The Divine always likes those who are willing to earn wisdom the slow way, through humble repetition and hard work.

For the You card, you drew Fearn or Bridge well-dignified. Fearn is the concept of not throwing away the baby with the bathwater. Salvage and triage are the name of the game, taking the best you can get out of non-ideal situations and difficult people. Bad situations teach us how to escape them and how to prevent new ones. Jerks teach us how to deal with jerks.

For the Situation, you drew Eadha or Limits ill-dignified. You are going to have to know your limits a little bit better. You cannot be all things to all people. At some point, you have to let them fail if it is going to eventually teach them to be stronger. Sure, always acknowledge and have gratitude for good deeds, but don't do their labor for them when it is not your place.

For the Outcome, you drew Quert or Delight well-dignified. Knowing when and how to relax is the key to a good life. We humans are built to go in seasons. There are seasons of frenetic productivity and seasons of rest. It will all work itself out if you rest.

For dealing with M, they give Mor or Sea ill-dignified. This either means that M is problematic to the core or that the factors affecting M cannot be redeemed or worked with. If there is any way to avoid M, end it, or to sidestep, do that. If not, remain absolutely neutral and say as little as possible. Work in secret.

For the You card, you drew Ailm or Transcendence well-dignified. This isn't fake it until you make it dignity and honor -- it's the real thing. It is tough and built on a rock, not on a sandbar. Clearly you've earned the well-being this refers to the long and hard way, and I'm not even sure which lifetime it is referring to. It is worth meditation.

For the Situation, you drew Muin or Harvest ill-dignified. An anticipated outcome is not ready and not happening... yet. Young people want to rush because, well, YOUTH. They are going to have to slow down. There may be some psychology of previous investment going on. Just because a strategy worked in the past does not mean it is automatically appropriate for now.

For the Outcome, you drew Oír or Epiphany ill-dignified. There is an unpleasant matter that needs to be brought out into the light and dealt with. Procrastination is tempting but you need to at least think about this matter. That said, beware false conclusions. As always, I suggest copious discursive meditation on what is not being dealt with and what kinds of fears lie underneath anxiety and irritation.
