Hey everyone, I am doing an Open Post in place of an essay or new Snow White installment this week because I'm absolutely swamped. I should have some very cool news in a couple of months max, but I'm still in the silence-keeping phase of the project that's soaking up all my time this week.

The picture is a place I am obsessed with but will likely never see, at least not in this incarnation, Torngat National Park in Newfoundland/Labrador in Canada.

As someone who has actually been to Labrador, I offer the following advice:

1. If you have the chance to, make the trip. It's absolutely breathtaking to see it in person, especially if - like me - you have been a city-dweller most of your life. (Some cruise ships that also feature a stop at the nearby Hebron historic site might be an economical option to get you there.)

2. When you go, bring a hat and coat. Mid-summer temperatures in the Torngat mountains are around 8C (mid-40's F), so you'll want to bundle up when you go outdoors - and you have to go outdoors to fully appreciate this awesome wonder.
