If it ever becomes socially acceptable for men to start wearing dresses and skirts, then clothing manufacturing companies will start creating a new category of clothing called "men's dresses" with significant enough differences from women's dresses that people can tell the two apart. The dresses will be practical and plain like all other men's clothing today, they will flair out (unlike pencil skirts / dresses) to prevent the world from seeing a man's erection, they will flair out from the waist instead of the hip, they will end up around knee length to cover men's underwear, they will have pockets, the chest region of the dress will be identical to the belly region of the dress as men do not have breasts, etc. Women, due to their different body shapes, will find such dresses tailored to men's bodies somewhat ill-fitting and uncomfortable to wear, just as men find today's dresses tailored to women's bodies ill-fitting and uncomfortable to wear. Cross-dressers and transgender women will still exist but they will specifically try to wear women's dresses, which accentuate the breasts and hips and have beautiful floral designs and other signs that the clothing is for women.
